More than finances. More than control. The govt sponsors of state applied censorship and all their tech and documentary evidence will become the property of the new management, ie Musk. Everything they did would be completely exposed.
Authoritarians love censorship. Being able to force their own narrative as the only voice provides them a tantalizing joy, if for no other reason than that they alone may enforce their will upon others, and thereby provide them with this security that they stand unopposed. In fact, it is when the people dictate to the govt, we have freedom, as opposed to when govt dictates to the people, we have tyranny. Regardless of how certain one becomes of their own voiced narrative, it only becomes weaker by being the only narrative shared. It is an unnatural, unhealthy disposition for such belief systems to be substituted for any actual reality. It betrays a lack of conviction and an evil countenance in which such culling of thought is used to subjugate the masses as less than their inherent rights allow them, just as it exploits such diminutions of the masses towards the goal of an ascension of the entitled few, whose domination enforced thru the tools of govt will enforce their will upon their enslaved masses without comment and without dissent.
