  1. It is interesting, and I think encouraging in a way, that the Dems and the MSM are freaking out and in hysterics about both the challenge to the election by the congressmen and the planned demonstration in ashington. THe DC city government is trying to prevent the Republican demonstrators from getting into the city and is mobilizing BLM and Antifa to physically attack them. This won’t make a good impression on the American public. That they are planning such repressive measures shows that they are terrified at the prospect that the Biden-Harris administration will lack legitimacy in the eyes of a large part of the American population. But their plans to institute a repressive Chinese-style regime and institutionalize fraudulent elections, even to the point of making it a crime to suggest that there is electoral fraud, is truly sinister, while also revealing how deeply insecure they are.

“D.C. Officials Slam Pro-Trump Rally Planned to Oppose Biden’s Election

Officials in the District of Columbia are characterizing a pro-Trump rally planned for January 6 as backed by extremists, but organizers say the event will feature well-respected conservative activists and elected lawmakers from across the country.

According to the rally’s website, it will feature a wide range of conservatives, including Tea Party Patriot’s Jenny Beth Martin; president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, Ed Martin; founder and president of Moms for America, Kimberly Fletcher; and Andrew Pollack, a school safety activist whose daughter was killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting.

Elected officials slated to speak include Reps. Lance Gooden (R-TX) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Reps.-elect Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Marjorie Greene (R-GA), and State Reps. Vernon Jones (D-GA), Mark Finchem (R-AZ), Doug Mastriano (R-PA), and Anthony Kern (R-AZ).

But according to a CBS report, violent extremists support the event:

District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine is preparing for another round of protests in the nation’s capital next week, when supporters of President Trump are expected to travel to Washington to protest Congress’ certification of Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory in the 2020 presidential election.

“My level of anxiety is high. My preparation is even more intense than that,” Racine told CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett in this week’s episode of “The Takeout” podcast. Racine is worried the far-right, white supremacist group known as the “Proud Boys” will return to the District and “pick fights, create damage, damage property, and then act in a very threatening way” towards historic Black institutions in the city like the group did in mid-December 2020.

“[President Trump] literally really has given breath, fresh air and encouragement to hate groups. Hate is up dramatically since the president came into office,” Racine added.

The upcoming rally also caused the closure of a hotel and bar in D.C. that is a popular gathering place for conservatives after pressure from activists claiming the Proud Boys controversial group would use the property as a base for illicit activities, including inciting violence from Antifa followers.

Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists have gathered at the BLM plaza D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser created as part of protests taking place across the country in recent months in the name of racial justice. Many downtown businesses remain shuttered and more are closing their doors after Bowser put new lockdown orders in place because of the coronavirus.

The Hill reported on the Harrington Hotel and Harry’s, the hotel’s popular bar, and the decision to shut down:

“Washington, D.C. has been our home for 106 years and we join with all of our guests, visitors, staff and neighbors in our concern and desire for everyone’s health and safety,” the statement read.

“We greatly appreciate the trust our guests have placed in Hotel Harrington over the years and we wish to continue to earn that trust,” the statement continued. “While we cannot control what happens outside of the hotel, we are taking additional steps to protect the safety of our visitors, guests and employees.”

According to the rally website and the featured video, organizers are encouraging people to come to the nation’s Capitol next week:

We the People must take to the US Capitol lawn and steps and tell Congress #DoNotCertify on #JAN6! Congress cannot certify this fraudulent Electoral College. Our presence in Washington D.C. will let Members of Congress know that we stand with Rep. Mo Brooks and his colleagues in the House of Representatives who will bravely object to the certification of the Electoral College.

“D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said the city government urged the bar to close early on Dec. 11-12 due to the protests,” the Hill reported. “Several social justice organizations have called on their members to call the bar to request it condemn the Proud Boys and close during pro-Trump demonstrations, according to the [Washington] Post.”

  2. From today’s ZeroHedge. The Congressmen and Senators don’t have much chance of reversing the election results, as they admit; but that so many are making the effort is magnificant. Ted Cruz is increasingly emerging as a statesman with an authoritative voice and writing style, and a Presidential manner. In my mind, he has even begun to slightly resemble Abraham Lincoln! (As with Lincoln, his full beard makes him look more presidential). Perhaps he will be the Republican nominee.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is leading a group of 11 Senators who plan to object to certifying state Electoral College votes on Wednesday.

The group, which includes Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), John Kennedy (R-La.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), and Mike Braun (R-Ind.), and Senators-Elect Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), and Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), are also calling for the resurrection of an Electoral Commission to conduct an emergency audit of the results.

According to Axios, the move pits the group of GOP Senators against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had ‘hoped to avoid the spectacle of his party leading a last-ditch effort to prevent Joe Biden from being declared the 2020 election winner.’

The move comes after Sen. Josh Howley (R-MO) said that he would raise a general objection.

“Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the election returns in the disputed states. Once completed, individual states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed,” the eleven Senators said in a statement.

The group noted a similar commission – made of five representatives, five senators and five Supreme Court justices – reviewed allegations of fraud in the 1876 election.
“Accordingly, we intend to vote on Jan. 6 to reject the electors from disputed states as not ‘regularly given’ and ‘lawfully certified’ (the statutory requisite), unless and until that emergency 10-day audit is completed.” -Axios
Notably, Democrats have raised similar election challenges in the past.

The last three times a Republican has been elected president — Trump in 2016 and George W. Bush in both 2000 and 2004 — Democrats in the House have brought objections to the electoral votes in states the GOP nominee won. In early 2005 specifically, Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., along with Rep. Stephanie Tubbs, D-Ohio, objected to Bush’s 2004 electoral votes in Ohio. -PJ Media

See below for the full text of a joint statement from the Cruz-led coalition:

“America is a Republic whose leaders are chosen in democratic elections. Those elections, in turn, must comply with the Constitution and with federal and state law.

“When the voters fairly decide an election, pursuant to the rule of law, the losing candidate should acknowledge and respect the legitimacy of that election. And, if the voters choose to elect a new office-holder, our Nation should have a peaceful transfer of power.

“The election of 2020, like the election of 2016, was hard fought and, in many swing states, narrowly decided. The 2020 election, however, featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud, violations and lax enforcement of election law, and other voting irregularities.

“Voter fraud has posed a persistent challenge in our elections, although its breadth and scope are disputed. By any measure, the allegations of fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election exceed any in our lifetimes.

“And those allegations are not believed just by one individual candidate. Instead, they are widespread. Reuters/Ipsos polling, tragically, shows that 39% of Americans believe ‘the election was rigged.’ That belief is held by Republicans (67%), Democrats (17%), and Independents (31%).

“Some Members of Congress disagree with that assessment, as do many members of the media.

“But, whether or not our elected officials or journalists believe it, that deep distrust of our democratic processes will not magically disappear. It should concern us all. And it poses an ongoing threat to the legitimacy of any subsequent administrations.

“Ideally, the courts would have heard evidence and resolved these claims of serious election fraud. Twice, the Supreme Court had the opportunity to do so; twice, the Court declined.

“On January 6, it is incumbent on Congress to vote on whether to certify the 2020 election results. That vote is the lone constitutional power remaining to consider and force resolution of the multiple allegations of serious voter fraud.

“At that quadrennial joint session, there is long precedent of Democratic Members of Congress raising objections to presidential election results, as they did in 1969, 2001, 2005, and 2017. And, in both 1969 and 2005, a Democratic Senator joined with a Democratic House Member in forcing votes in both houses on whether to accept the presidential electors being challenged.

“The most direct precedent on this question arose in 1877, following serious allegations of fraud and illegal conduct in the Hayes-Tilden presidential race. Specifically, the elections in three states-Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina-were alleged to have been conducted illegally.

“In 1877, Congress did not ignore those allegations, nor did the media simply dismiss those raising them as radicals trying to undermine democracy. Instead, Congress appointed an Electoral Commission-consisting of five Senators, five House Members, and five Supreme Court Justices-to consider and resolve the disputed returns.

“We should follow that precedent. To wit, Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the election returns in the disputed states. Once completed, individual states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed.

“Accordingly, we intend to vote on January 6 to reject the electors from disputed states as not ‘regularly given’ and ‘lawfully certified’ (the statutory requisite), unless and until that emergency 10-day audit is completed.

“We are not naïve. We fully expect most if not all Democrats, and perhaps more than a few Republicans, to vote otherwise. But support of election integrity should not be a partisan issue. A fair and credible audit-conducted expeditiously and completed well before January 20-would dramatically improve Americans’ faith in our electoral process and would significantly enhance the legitimacy of whoever becomes our next President. We owe that to the People.

“These are matters worthy of the Congress, and entrusted to us to defend. We do not take this action lightly. We are acting not to thwart the democratic process, but rather to protect it. And every one of us should act together to ensure that the election was lawfully conducted under the Constitution and to do everything we can to restore faith in our Democracy.” “

  3. How many “rinos”, nevertrumpers and dems are willing to give up YOUR right to a legal vote?
That is what it boils down to!
    Very simple.
    The rest is history.

  4. David strikes me as a fine, upstanding young man who takes his responsibilities as a journalist seriously.

I hope he is right that authoritative sources, such as U.S. military intelligence, have acquired hard evidence of massive electoral fraud and foreign interference in our election that is so strong that even the Democrats in Congress will feel uncomfortable if they ignore it. But my instrinct tells me that this is not the case, since if Trump had evidence from authoritative sources, whose integrity could not easily be challenged, he would have released this information earlier, and authrized the officers or officials who had located the information to hold a press conference.

I don’t hink that Trump will be able to remain President after Jan. 20. But I do think he has ways to further discredit Biden-Harris in the eyes of the majority of American citizens. If enough people do not believe the Biden-Harris administration is legitimate, many paths will open up to prevent it from achieving its pro-Chinese, pro billionaires, and pro-monopoly -corporations agendas, to prevent it from further corrupting our election laws, which is also one of the Democrat’s main agendas. Paths will open up to repeal the unconstituional state election laws that have created massive opportunities for electoral fraud. THat could lead to more honest and genuine elections in the future, and restore republican and democratic (with small first letters) government in the United States.

Unless a real, coordinated effort is made to thwart the DP’s programs of institutionalized fraudulent elections, the dominance of monopoly ca[italists who owe their vast wealth to government subsidies, not the free market, and a sell-out of our national interests to China and Iran, the American republic will be doomed to become a banana republic that no one outside the United States, and few inside it, can respect.
