Border Police spokesman says officers were on raid to apprehend terror suspect • Over 1,500 Palestinians pour into street and attack officers with Molotov cocktails and stones • Border Police responds with live rounds, medical sources say three killed.

Three Palestinians were killed and at least fifteen injured in clashes that broke out following a “huge IDF raid in Qalandiya” north of Jerusalem on Monday. Elite undercover Border Police units were in Qalandiya to arrest Omar Al-Khatib, a Palestinian freed in the Gilad Schalit prisoner release.
Witnesses said Israeli armored jeeps entered the Qalandiya camp at around 3 a.m. and were met by stone-throwing local residents. Border Police spokesman Shai Hakimi said officers were on a raid to apprehend a “terror suspect” when over 1,500 Palestinians poured into the streets and attacked the officers with firebombs and rocks.
According to the NRG Maariv web site, the unit involved was the Judea and Samaria undercover Border Police anti-terrorism force, also known as the Mistaaravim [translated as disguised as Arabs]. NRG reported that the arrest mission went awry when the undercover unit was exposed, and had to call in for cover and evacuation.
Border Police fired live rounds, rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at the Palestinian mob, according to Palestinian website Al-Quds. Ma’an reported 15 injuries, six of whom were in critical condition.
An Israeli police spokesman said a clash erupted when border police carrying out an arrest raid were confronted by Palestinians who threw firebombs and rocks at them. The incident was being investigated, spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.
It was not clear if the Israeli forces made any arrests.
A Palestinian source told Ma’an meanwhile that peace talks set to resume between Israeli and Palestinian negotiators in Jericho were called off as a result of the “crimes” in Qalandiya.
A medical source at the Ramallah government hospital confirmed the deaths of three Palestinians, according to Ma’an, and several wounded, including one in critical condition. Palestinian medical sources confirmed the deaths to both The Associated Press and Reuters.
A witness told Ma’an that two men were killed and at least 10 other people were injured when Israeli troops began shooting at Palestinians who had gathered at Qalandiya following an extensive Israel Defense Forces predawn raid in the refugee camp.
The IDF has neither confirmed nor denied the reported casualties.
This is the second time in one week that casualties were reported during an IDF predawn raid. A Palestinian was killed last Tuesday in Jenin when IDF soldiers returned fire after coming under Palestinian attack while detaining a terror suspect.
Self defense. We already know what MSM will report. When will the world wake up and stop listening to these whiners complaining about big bad Israelis? If you don’t like it your free to go.

For Shy Guy – Steven Plaut has the following revealing tidbit you will learn nowhere else about:
“Of the three “Palestinians” shot dead there, two were convicted murderers who had been released as part of the moronic “deal” by Netanyahu to buy back Gilad Shalit by means of releasing terrorists. Their deaths today providing Israelis with a tiny pinch of closure and justice.”
About time – did I say the death penalty works? Israel needs to kill a lot of more murderers of Jews just to balance the scales. Far too many of those running around! And they are exactly the kind of sterling characters the PA called off the “peace talks” on their behalf! That said, I’m waiting for the inevitable Israeli apology in 3, 2, 1…

Jews are Christian on the use of force. Never mind that Jewish law says the exact opposite! Jews who behave like Christian idealists towards their enemies will find out that they receive no credit for their forbearance. They will still be hated all the same, not for what they do but because of who they are!
I’m still expecting major headlines, marches and riots because of this, particularly in the West.

I actually commented elsewhere that I’m surprised there weren’t at least 20 killed.
Perhaps we can move up from “stupid Jews” to “stupid castrated Jews”.
As Shy Guy would say: Stupid Jews!
But it goes beyond mere stupidity. Israel’s moral compass is broken! A country that does not respect the Jewish dead will not take the necessary measures to protect living Jews.
1500 Arab rioters came out to kill Jews and Israeli troops shot dead only THREE of them? That is exactly the problem.
The IDF values preserving the lives of Jew-hating Arabs to the point of absurdity when Israeli soldiers are forbidden to shoot to kill an Arab to save their own lives. The IDF’s ethical code is exactly backwards.
Israel’s army brass need to get out of the air-conditioned offices in which they sit and look at the real world. There is virulent hate for Jews on the streets of Qalandiya.
And this by the way is the value Israel’s putative “peace partner” holds so dear. Let’s hear it for peace in our time!
