some good news at last
@ SHmuel HaLevi:
Well said. From a musician’s point of view that’s right up there with, “we prayed and we prayed, and they crapped and they crapped.”
As my father used to proudly say whenever he heard about a great Jewish achievement: “Clever these Chinese!”
@ bernard ross:
While I was waiting for my instant oat cereal to be ready, I read most of the comments in the Blog on the subject. 🙂
Our group, about 18 Jews here in Israel, are all long time residents and deeply linked to Eretz Israel and our people. That is our focus,
And now to the tumbleweed scrape that is the US election today.
Paraphrasing a line repeated by various members of “fact finding missions” from the US portending large numbers of blue haired matrons and grobbe husbands plus cameras on tow when pontificating to us during their silly visits.
“You people get the governments you deserve” the arrogant ass.les piped.
Guess what my friends.
The US fellowship “was and is getting the governments they deserve”. And today’s election will mark the crowning moment on their way to…???
Our only desire is for the best for the US whoever wins the putrid contest. Fraudulent, biased, corrupt to the core as it is.
Further.
We are solely interested about how well will we do regardless of who is elected there.
Now comes the invariable assonnine US folk and some shills here, response.
“You depend on the US, so shut up”!
No way we do. That subservient status was inserted by the local unJews who are gradually being shed out of the mainstream.
Israeli patriots are more than willing and ready to do the correct thing.
The US taxpayers must use the moneys forced into us by their governments and their local peons to repair the US mess and pay some of the 20 trillion dollars debt.
We thank the US people for years of help and now we part…
As the Chinese would say…
“Rots of ruk on the e.ection”.
@ Austin:
That’s what I had always thought. I can’t find it now, but I did read a Jewish source that said it wasn’t entirely clear if it came from Hillel or another source. In looking for that I found this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Rule
I am also pleased that you have solved the mystery, nonexistent though it is. You are a regular Miss Marple, except of course that she was not psychotic.
Austin, what you’ve just written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this blog is now dumber for having seen it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
@ Sebastien Zorn:
I think it’s ALWAYS attributed to Hillel, contained in the story about the demand that he should teach all the Torah whilst the heathen-previously driven away by Shammai-stood on one foot. The original Torah version is thought to have been from a phrase in Leviticus…..19;18.

if I were to pursue this question I would look back into his background and political development. In my view money tends to seek out those who are “team players”.. meaning that they will go along with the team, and instructions, in exchange for support and finance.. there is a beginning a middle and an end. We see roberts at the end or the pinnacle of his career but how did he get there is more likely to answer to the question of what motivates his decision. We always assume that folks are in their position due to principles, ideologies, etc. but I think they are likely there due to team playing. An ideological MO might be a rationalization for doing what one is told. Money and advancement instructs, you cannot suddenly get off that boat when you are asked for a quid pro quo. Money also chases socialism, pepsico was I beleive the first corp into russia and they did well, no labor or red tape problems. Socialized medicine supplied by private insurance corps is big money to be made with guaranteed income. Hence a conservative moneybags might want a piece of that action.
@ Alan Rockman:
on rubio and cruz… to me it is obvious that they are puppets.. they are both middle management corporate lawyers, or whatever, of little significance who will do what they are told. They cant possibly compare anywhere near the achievement levels and experience of trump…he might hire them as one of his lower down corporate lawyers… just as they were hired to be in gov by their donors. They can vote, give speeches, offer a legal interpretation… but overall they were made to take instructions… like most pols.
@ Alan Rockman:
I m sorry, you got me here as i dont remember the details on this… but it is not uncommon for seeming opposites to appear to have collaborated from time to time AND can be a sign of their real agenda. Following the money and the donors usually gives answers.
@ bernard ross:
Bubsy-Wubsy ….How right Bernard is…and at least try to be correct in your silly speculations. Clouseau has just issued a statement that he is ABSOLUTELY not of the Perfidious Albion, and it was out of his control that his character was payed by a Perfidious named “Pierre Cellares” He is a Pure citizen of La Grande France…. N’est ce pas.
babushka Said:
for this issue I suggest a chat with a sigmund
babushka Said:
yes, I understand that is your rationalization, but your glee is for a trump loss and a purse win… you show no sorrow in realizing a purse win and trump loss. You have substituted a faux motivation for your bizarre behavior. However, I am happy to have solved the mystery of a person saying he is against hillary but so gleefully always cites the prospect of a trump loss. Pretending your glee is about yamit, harris and I just doesnt cut the mustard… it sounds like hillary’s abe lincoln fairy tale.
Sebastien Zorn Said:
see, this is folks biggest mistake… believing that ideology is what makes the “sides” in politics. Notice that the “conservative” station is owned by open borders murdoch who opposed trump. Open borders is supposedly a conservative position because it supposedly is a free trade decision based on competition. but such a position is ideological which can harm the nation and the citizens. Murdoch is not an ideologue and neither are most wealthy donors… they merely support that which furthers their interests, primarily their purse. Hence, you find wealthy donors funding both parties and agreeing on open borders, visascam, cheap migrant labor, etc… notice that tpp was passed by obama and the gop… not a lot of democrats.
I beleive that ideologies are used as tools by politcians, donors, tyrants as tools and vehicles to move people to where they want them to be. Saudis employ the islam ideology to control their people and yet the princes gambol, whore and get drunk in London.
babushka Said:
and yet you are always posting the scenario which asserts that he will lose… with glee.
Sebastien Zorn Said:
as Trump says… donors have requirements, and sometimes voting in those donor requirements could cause a loss of constituents… e.g. iran and immigration amnesty… two unpopular positions with most voters. The donors want to do business with Iran and the donors support immigration for cheap labor…. the voters do not. One seeks the explanation that explains logically the factors present in the simplest way(occam) Logical analysis is not guessing. the same approach is what I took when I said years ago that Israel had understandings under the table with the GCC, long before it surfaced and was attested to by BB and other gov members. I based it on a logical explanation for strange behavior. I think this is also a technique employed by intelligence services.
@ bernard ross:
obamacare. And remember how Minnesota’s then- GOP governor, the first timid timmy (Kaine was the second)allowed the Democratic Secretary of State of Minnesota to let a precinct worker carry two boxes of votes and misplace them? Pawlenty played with himself while that then Secretary of state – now their governor – Mark Dayton practically ensured the election of “Stuart Smalley” aka Franken – and the final vote needed for Obama.
Pawlenty had the gall to try to run for President 4 years later. He got dumped fast, but not fast enough. He’s the architect with Obama for that fiasco.
@ Sebastien Zorn:
Exactly. The only GOP Senator who spoke out was Tom Cotton, who knew more than a bit about the subject, and he was promptly railroaded to the back Even the almighty Cruz didn’t do a damn thing. I would have support him if he had been the nominee, but his own behavior, screwing Carson, (he would have been my other choice) acting like a petulant child, lost me forever.
And the rest outside of Huckabee were a bunch of crybabies . . .especially Marco. If we go down tomorrow -and I still say there’s more than an even chance Trump will pull it out – I won’t support a damn one of them. But I won’t have to, as we won’t have a country anymore if that happens.
The only one willing to stand up and say what we thought was Trump whether we liked him or not. And if he loses due to the stupidity of the Never Trumpers, the dumb asses voting for the dope on dope Johnson, we’re gone period. I won’t even be watching fox because I won’t need my blood pressure going up thanks to Theodore Cruz, Markie Rubio, or Paula Ryan ranting about what a Hillary is doing to us.
THEY ENSURED HER AND OBAMA WHEN THEY REFUSED TO STOP THEM OR GO FOR IMPEACHMENT. I don’t need their hand-wringing anymore or RINO sissies like Comey originally hired as a prosecutor by the likes of Giuliani.
The Iran deal should have been a TREATY VOTE. The “immortal” Cruz and Markie let the establishment make deals with traitor Democrats whom they thought would put country first – and either failed to or refused to denounce them as traitors when it passed. SCREW THE GOP.
Trump hasn’t had any losses since April. Have you been taking advantage of liberalized marijuana laws?
@ babushka:
I forgot “Bulldog Drummond”
babushka Said:
what you have are delusions of reference.. my post, which you quoted, bore no relation to you… it was directed to Sebastian Zorns specific question on the behavior of those politicians who employed a specific technique… nothing to do with you.
delusions of reference can be a symptom of paranoiac psychosis.
Perhaps you also have delusions of grandeur thinking that when I referred to politicians voting that I was referring to you… did you vote in congress for the iran deal or immigration amnesty?
