Madeline Brooks:But they were stopped by the Israeli passengers. The Dubai crew also assumed the passengers wanted to kill the highjacker though they only wanted him tied up and brought in for investigation. Suspicious? Maybe. So far the tone of this article is neutral, perhaps because once the flight attendants realized they could not take charge of the cockpit, they acted more normal, bringing water and blankets to the passengers. More needs to be known about the Dubai crew.

The crew of the hijacked flydubai plane shockingly clashed with heroic Israeli passengers who subdued the ax-wielding co-pilot after he attacked the pilot — demanding he be freed, two men who helped secure the terror suspect told The Post.

“They were asking us to untie the terrorist — we had no idea why,” said banking executive Tzvika Manes, one of the three civilians who took down the would-be hijacker.
After three Israelis subdued the pilot and restrained him face-down with his hands tied behind his back — first with zip ties, then using headphone wires – “crew members were saying to “free the terrorist” which made us instantly suspicious of them,” said real estate professional Daniel Schlichter.
As he was subdued, Yaniv Hayoun, the Israeli plumber who grabbed the controls and raised the the nose of the plummeting plane, heard the terrorist cry, “Kill me, kill me” — apparently because he failed in his Jihadist mission, Manes said. Yet some crew members began demanding that he be freed.
An argument ensued and the Israeli trio shot back that under no circumstances would the suspected terrorist be released. “They said, ‘You are not God, you are not going to kill him,’” Manes recalled. “We didn’t want to kill him, we just wanted him not to kill us.”
A power play ensued with the crewmembers insisting that they were in charge of the plane and needed to remain alone in the area directly in front of the cockpit. The Israelis, fearing the crew could be involved in the pilot’s plot, ordered the stewards to leave the cockpit area and to take seats in the middle of the plane.
“We told them, “Now the policy is we’re in charge and you do what we say,’ ” Manes said. “We didn’t know what to think, we were in a suspicious mode for every steward.”
A group of passengers, Schlichter among them, escorted the crew members to seats in the fifth or sixth row, away from the cockpit. “We shouted at them and told them to sit down,” said Schlichter. The trio then enlisted a “big guy” to guard the cockpit and prevent anyone from entering, Manes said.
The crew has not been accused of conspiring with the bloodthirsty co-pilot. When asked by The Post about the crew’s behavior, flydubai said it could not comment on a matter under investigation.
“According to a new report in World Israel News from Israeli source Eran Malka, claims that the co-pilot expressed admiration for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani in his personal diary. The report says al-Hammami praised Mamdani for applying the Islamic concept of “taqiyya” or concealing one’s true religious beliefs when facing potential persecution or danger.
Apparently, the Omani FLY DUBAI co-pilot, Hamam al-Hammami, who stabbed the pilot had been banned from flying by Oman over his radical Islamic extremist views, including social media posts saying” he wanted to kill Jews.”

It is amazing that there is no mention of this to be found in any MSM source. It’s as if they are supposed to suppress this scoop. So much for the free press.
It did appear in the NYPost.
Yes, the majority of this article is a direct quote from the NYP article. I amended it so as to make this point more clear.
The part about this event most troubling to me, whose facts remain still sketchy, is that the flight attendents wanted to fly the plane after the stabbing attack failed! How does this not make them look like part of a planned takeover? Just wondering….But alarmed.
It takes courage to be afraid – when there is good reason to be afraid. Even the very brave israelis who should have known better boarded a Muslim run plane …and then had to fight for their lives. Why did they trust an enemy? Why did the reality denying conceptzion take place among so many otherwise intelligent Israelis, allowing Gaza to invade and massacre on 10/7?
I am reminded of the what is known about the Jewish mood during the Nazi build up in Germany. Jews were nervous but they hoped, they trusted, they did not let their fear reach down into their guts, their kishkas, and become scared enough to take saving actions. Only a handful did, as in the film “Defiance” about Polish Jews forming a resistance community, taking care of each other, deep in the woods.
Trust in human society is what holds society together. It is normative. We all support each other in maintaining trust. It feels good and we want to feel it.
The East European Jews told each other “Shaa, shaa, don’t upset everyone” even as the attacks grew more frequent. Trust is anti traumatic, it is soothing, whereas extreme distrust can feel deeply traumatic. So fear is avoided, as long as possible, as even dangers increase.
Drawing on my doctoral background in psychology, I will say this: rational fear must be normalized. More expressions of fear and hatred of Jewish enemies need to be expressed and accepted. That means Islam and those who either support its spread or turn a blind eye to it can no longer be excused and tolerated. The noose around the Jewish neck is tightening. We really are alone.
Abraham Accords or not, NOT A SINGLE islamic nation is to be trusted. They are all inhuman. The UAE has been exposed as a false ally along with the Abraham Accords being exposed as a total farce. There is no true peaceful coexistence to be had with muslims. I do not criticize Trump for the AA; it is not his fault that it’s failing. It is futile to continue attempting peace with them. If the west has any sense of self-preservation, the islamic world would be quarantined from the rest of humanity. Our borders would be completely closed to muslims.
Exactly…
