Current Arab death toll is only 10% of the 2014 Gaza War death tolls.

T. Belman. Let’s have some perspective here. This war has been going on for 7 days.  The 2014 war lasted 51 days. Eight months after that war 100,000 Arabs were homeless. 380,000 people were killed in Syrian War compared to the current death toll of about 200 Arabs in Gaza. which is 1/10th of the number killed in 2014.  In the 2014 war 4560 rockets were fired and they had a much smaller explosives payload and shorter range. The number of of rockets fired so far in this war exceeds 3150.

    • 2,251 Palestinians, including 1,462 civilians, were killed.[1]

  • Of the Palestinian fatalities, 551 were children and 299 women.[2]
  • 11,231 Palestinians were injured including 3,436 children and 3,540 women, 10 percent of whom suffer permanent disability.[3]
  • More than 1,500 Palestinian children were orphaned.[4]

  • Hamas’ Al Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for the execution by firing squads of 21 alleged “collaborators”, of whom 16 were taken from Al Katiba prison where they had been held in the custody of the local authorities in Gaza.
  • Six civilians in Israel and 67 Israeli soldiers were killed.[11]

 

  • Up to 1,600[12] Israelis were injured, including 270 children.
  • Direct damage to civilian property in Israel amounted to almost $25 million.[13]
  • Between 7 July and 26 August 2014, Palestinian armed groups fired 4,881 rockets and 1,753 mortars towards Israel.[14]
  • The IDF found 32 tunnels, 14 of which extended beyond the Green Line into Israel
