Having served as a specialist consultant for a much better led ADL in the ‘70’s, with a strong doctoral background in both Middle Eastern and National Security Policy Studies, I’m extremely careful when I speak of antisemitism and its closely attached flip side, anti-Zionism, because I don’t want the accusation used loosely.
Peloni: The best fate for the Arab Palestinians is for the Jordan Option to become operational with Mudar Zahran replacing the feckless, unstable, Islamist supporting Hashemite regime.
Peloni: As Israel is faced with more than two-thirds of European states recognizing the fictitious second Arab Palestinian state, all while ignoring the fact that Jordan is the indisputable Arab Palestinian state, rocket factories are being constructed in Judea and Samaria. Our enemies have no conscience, no legitimacy, and no honor. They would pillory the victims of October 7 to satisfy an enemy contingent which they have imported into their own communities, and that contingent is conducting a quiet Jihad of Europe as they will continue into the US, already with bridgeheads being constructed around America. Jihad is not compatible with Western society, and in fact, while a kinetic war is being brought against Israel, Israel at least has demonstrated the wherewithal to replace complacency with confrontation. National identity is an important concept to misplace, and while Europe represents an important contingent of the Western world, their leadership has chosen to remain quiescent as their identity is coopted by this quiet Jihad, and the move to embrace a second Arab Palestinian state is simply the personification of this lost identity, leaving only the European public to demonstrate the pluck and perseverance which is needed to ward off the malfeasance and devastation facing them today. Israel will survive this war, if only because they are fighting it, but Europe has already chosen to be defeated as they refuse to do the same and are instead supporting those who will one day be their conquerors.

In a highly concerning development for Israel’s security, Israel Defense Forces announced on Friday that it had arrested a terror cell in Samaria that attempted to launch a rocket at Israel and had manufactured dozens more, including two that were ready for immediate use.

Elements of three Israel Defense Forces (IDF) divisions began to expand operations into Gaza City on September 16, the Israeli military said. The ground offensive is part of Gideon’s Chariots II, the operational name of the assault on Gaza City.

Peloni: Important discussion between Rabbi Pesach Wolicki and Middle East Geopolitical expert, Dr. David Wurmser, about the recent Doha Summit of Muslim nations. They highlight the often ignored fact that Qatar maintains a state of belligerency with Israel while also acting on its state of belligerency by hosting the Hamas leadership. Beyond this, Qatar played a role not only in funding Hamas, but employed its media empire of Al Jazeera as both an intelligence and propaganda arm of Hamas’ war with Israel. Wurmser also raises the important role which is being played by Al Jazeera in trying to destabilize Israel’s neighbors, with significant strides being won in Egypt. While promoting its position of a mediator, Qatar has actively acted against Israel, and also encouraged Hamas to not concede to Israel’s demands. Furthermore, the point is made that Qatar’s posture is not only hostile to Israel, but to America and the West in general, and that this is most evident in its weaponizing Al Jazeera towards destabilizing US allies in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, but most successfully in Egypt. Wurmser also describes Qatar’s actions as being an extension of China’s thrust into the region in coordination with Turkey and Pakistan, forming an anti-American block.
Only when our leaders, political, military and rabbinic, name the enemy honestly can Israel chart a path to victory.

Last week, Israel experienced its deadliest terror attack since Oct. 7, 2023. Six Jewish lives were stolen in cold blood, this time by two terrorists from near Ramallah, just a stone’s throw from the internationally acclaimed Cramim Hotel and Israel’s Channel 12 news studio in Neve Ilan.
Peloni: The importance of being able to provide a high tech defensive layer at low costs can not be overstated. Relevantly, this battlefield advantage will be one which Israel’s enemies and erstwhile allies will all be looking to both overcome and acquire.

Here are two words that sound similar to the human ear but whose meanings are a universe apart.
Tekiah is the Hebrew word uttered in the synagogue to usher in the sound of the shofar – the ram’s horn – during the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah: the Jewish New Year.
Peloni: Khaled Hassan, Egyptian-British national security and foreign policy researcher, discusses the Egyptian war posture, where it stems from, how significant it is, and how it threatens peace with Israel. He also addresses the complex and changing situation of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Note that the threat of possible war with Egypt has forewarned by both Dr. David Wurmser and Mudar Zahran as well as Khaled.
Peloni: Mati Shashani provides a more positive perspective regarding the position of the US vis a vis Qatar as displayed in the days following the Israeli strike on the Hamas leadership in Qatar. Whereas Mati prefers to interpret Rubio’s actions as evidence that Qatar is not an ally, and only a mediator, Rubio’s boss, Pres. Trump described Qatar plainly as not only an ally, but a “great ally”, one which doesn’t receive enough credit for its actions which he suggests they do a better job of portraying to the world. The irony in this is so great that it strikes of satire, in which the Qatari govt’s massive influence peddling and Al Jazeera media empire are not doing enough to convince the world that this world wide terror supporting regime should be seen to be an American ally rather than as an agent injecting Muslim Brotherhood theology into the heart of the West so as to destroy it from within. The distinction between the appropriateness of the US alliance with Qatar and Qatar’s anti-American activities is both glaring and costly in more ways than can reasonably be quantified…which is why America’s romance with Qatar should be ended. As Daniel Greenfield recently, and accurately, penned, “[America] should not be in Qatar. And Qatar should not be in America.”

Rabbi Berel Wein, a Chicago-born pulpit rabbi and rosh yeshivah, gained widespread recognition within the American Orthodox community for his landmark 1990 history, Triumph of Survival: The Story of the Jews in the Modern Era 1650-1990. He passed away, at the age of 91, on Aug. 16 in Jerusalem, the city he held so close to his heart.
