The Sources of Anti-Israel Hostility

By Farrell Bloch | Am Thinker | Oct 31, 2025

The primary goal of pro-Palestinian protestors is vilification of Israel rather than support of Palestinian Arabs, as is suggested by these activists’ silence when Palestinians are murdered by other Arabs, most recently Hamas’ executions of opposing Gazans. Indeed, their limited perspective lacks focus on other contemporary ethnic conflicts such as Arabs attacking Africans in Sudan and Muslim persecution of Christians in Nigeria. The most apparent explanation for the anti-Israel monomania on campuses, in the United Nations, and elsewhere is that Israel’s direct opposition consists of populous, politically active, and oil-supported Muslims.

Trump Calls On Congress To Investigate Nigeria As Radical Islamists Massacre Thousands Of Christians

Peloni:  The cone of silence which has shielded the nearly daily slaughters in Nigeria from being highlighted in the Western Press will forever stand as a mark of shame and culpability on the Western world.  The fact that for the past two years, that same Western Press promoted the falsehood of a slaughter of Gazans which did not happen, that it pretended a Gazan famine which never existed, and it claimed crimes against humanity by Israel which never took place, only serve to make their culpability and malfeasance regarding what has taken place in Nigeria so much worse.  What makes the Muslims of Gaza so much more valuable to the Christian leaders of the Western world than their own co-religionists in Nigeria that they would manufacture myths to protect the former while ignoring the truth about the latter?  One can only express a sense of relief that with this announcement by Pres. Trump, the world may finally see some meaningful effort to raise a significant response against the slaughter of more than 125,000 Christians in the loathsome and terrible nation of Nigeria in the hope of ending the needless slaughter conducted there by Islamist Jihadis.  It is as if the Western nations had been allied with these Jihadis against the Jewish and Christian faiths on which the values of Western civilization were founded.  Indeed, there is a malignancy within the consciousness of the West which champions fallacious and mendaciously manufactured reports of ‘slaughter’ while ignoring all too real exhibitions of what true slaughters, famine, and war crimes look like.

IDSF Briefing: Why Every Gaza Peace Plan FAILS! And how to actually make it work.

Peloni:  This is one of the most important and accurate critiques to the Trump Gaza plan to date.  Martin Sherman, founder and CEO of the Israel Institute for Strategic Studies, discusses the Trump Gaza plan, its impossible chance for success, as it too well resembles what has already failed, and what might might be the best proposition for peace going forward, even as it is being ignored.

Israeli-Lebanon Ceasefire Shows Cracks as Aoun Calls on Lebanese Army To Confront IDF

Peloni:  This report should surprise no one.  Hezbollah has no interest in being disarmed, and the LAF lacks the capacity to enforce the disarmament of Hezbollah, even if that were their actual intended goal.  Yet, they will happily act against the IDF when they act to disarm Hezbollah.  Given the intensity of diplomatic interest in seeing Amb. Barrack’s fantastical gambit proceed, always failed the reality test.  Indeed, this gambit was always destined to fail for the same reasons that the Jordan Option, once operational, will almost certainly work – because for a plan to work it requires us to recognize existing realities and act upon them. By institutionalizing fictions, such as the LAF being capable of disarming Hezbollah, we only serve to preserve the existing reality by pretending it doesn’t exist, when it does.  Worshipping at the feet of fake idols does not change the weather.  Neither does feeding Lebanon with billions in cash expecting them to do the undoable.  Find what is doable which can lead to that which is vital.  This is how successful plans succeed.  Ignoring this is how failing plans continue to fail.  Good wishes against established realities, even amid significant diplomacy, can only lead to catastrophe…and it does, over and over again, particularly in the Middle East where Western diplomats pretend they are in Europe when they are in Beirut, Damascus, Bagdad or Amaan.

Aoun made the comment following an overnight raid by the IDF in the border town of Blida. The IDF said that the raid was conducted to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure. IDF troops reportedly opened fire on a municipal building after identifying “an immediate threat,” killing a worker identified as Ibrahim Salameh, who was sleeping in the building. The open questions, and the clear answers, in the Yemenite Field video affair.

Peloni:  While the leaked video is an important aspect of what formed an early part of this blood libel against Israel, the leak must be understood to be secondary to the motivation which led to the leak.  There is no innocent interpretation which fits the facts in this case, in which video from a highly secured fascility was removed from that fascility, edited to grant it a nefarious character, and then release it to Channel 12 where there were claims of rape indicated which were not even supported by the doctored video.  The target of this libel was the IDF, and as Yossi questions below, was it the Americans, the Kaplanists (far Left hostage advocates), or was it someone else.  Whoever it was, it should be fairly easily determined, as Yossi explains below.

Israel Falsely Accused of Crimes that Turkey Commits with Impunity

Janet Levy:  In a clear moral reversal of human rights, when Israel fights for its survival, the Jewish State is accused of “occupation, ethnic cleansing and genocide.”

Turkey, a NATO ally collaborating with the Muslim Brotherhood, is rewarded despite actually committing these atrocities.

In 1974, Turkey took control of nearly 40% of Cyprus, ethnically cleansing the Greek Cypriots in the area and replacing them with Turks. It also occupied territories in northern Syria and northern Iraq, from which it has carried out drone strikes, targeted the Kurds for extermination, destroyed infrastructure, and deliberately created conditions of food and water scarcity.

The U.N. stays quiet about Turkey’s crimes but keeps accusing Israel of committing genocide and causing famine in Gaza.

Furthermore, Turkey is being rewarded by the UK with the sale of fighter jets, while Britain keeps an arms embargo on Israel.

Trump named Turkey, whose leader is a champion of “Palestinian” rights, as one of the guarantors of the “ceasefire” plan, positioning it as a key player in regional affairs. Erdogan has always been hostile toward Israel (even talking about attacking the Jewish state) and welcoming to Hamas leadership. In August, while allowing the free movement of guns and money from Iran, Turkey restricted its airspace to Israeli planes, banned Israeli ships from its ports, and forbade its ships from entering Israeli ports.

How Egypt deceived the Trump administration & why Egypt fights Islamists but not Islamism

Peloni:  Khaled Hassan presents the fallout of the Israeli strike on Qatar from the Egyptian perspective, explaining that Egypt today is in the greatest position possible.  After facilitating the October 7 war, obstructing the exit of Gaza civilians, snubbing Trump, threatening Israel, and repeatedly violating the terms of the Camp David Peace Accords, Sisi was able to arrange everyone in the region to come to him to facilitate a peace conference.

Not Peace. We are Still at War

Peloni:  It is a sad epitaph to the two long years of war, tragedy and sacrifice to grasp that the way being proposed forward takes returns us to the October 6 era all over again.  Is this reasonable? Is this acceptable?  Is this even possible?  Well, it is where things are headed, but it is not where things will likely arive.  As I noted before, this war is not yet over, and while this is a tragedy in and of itself, it is only by seeking out victory that the rewards which were promised in this war will finally be obtained.  There is no going back to October 6.

We have a JD Vance problem…

Peloni:  It is important that Vance recognize that he is the leader of the US and not Israel, of course, but his pronouncement here and elsewhere are quite reminiscent of his good friend Tucker Carlson, whose son currently works on Vance’s staff.  Recalling Carlson’s nearly knee jerk call for Vance to be recognized as Trump’ successor just a little more than a month after Trump took office did seem to give Trump some pause, as he noted it was too early to draw any such conclusion, and of course, Trump was right.  But time and circumstances do draw out the values and influences which define a person, and to Erin’s point below, we should be concerned by some of what we hear Vance say in those unscripted moments which reveal the man behind the speeches.  It is still early, and perhaps we will see better from Vance in the future.  I am curious what others think on this matter.

Bannon Changes His Mind and Calls For Immediate Regime Change… in Jerusalem

Peloni:  I am old enough to recall when Bannon asserted that regime change in nuclear ambitious Iran would lead to WWIII, that the US could never win such a war without putting boots on the ground, and I can remember it because it was less than ninety days ago.  Yet, here Bannon stands, unapologetically, hypocritically, and unceremoniously demanding regime change in an allied nation, a nation which protected US planes in its latest war effort in the Middle East, which did not lead to a protracted war, and which Bannon threatened Trump with political consequences if he acted as he did.  Bannon is not MAGA, he is part of the Carlson anti-Maga, which some prefer to call Far Right or Woke Right, but which are not allied with the Right at all.   Their goal is to stoke antisemitic fervor amid the most philosemitic political movement in US history, and to support enemies such as Iran while they victimize allies such as Israel.

Report: Iran rebuilding its ballistic missile program

Peloni:  This certainly can not be a surprise to any of us.  In fact, not only is this in Iran’s interest, it is in China’s interest as well.  The only way to have prevented this from occuring was to have allowed Israel to conduct its intended decapitating strike in Iran at the end of the 12 Day War.  Unfortunately, Trump scolded Bibi by calling for him to turn his planes around.  There are many reasons why he might have done so, but the fact that he did so gave the Iranians the means by which to continue to threaten the region and the world, along with the support of the Chinese arms which will serve to arm them in the next leg of this conflict between Israel and Iran, and do not be deceived, this war is not yet over.

By Joe Truzman | October 30, 2025

Iran is rebuilding its ballistic missile program despite recently imposed United Nations (UN) sanctions, CNNreported on October 29. Citing European intelligence sources, Iran imported shipments of chemicals used to produce medium-range ballistic missiles in recent weeks.

These sources assessed that on September 29, 2,000 tons of sodium perchlorate—a key precursor for solid-propellant missiles—arrived in the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas. Iran purchased the chemical from China to replenish its stocks of ballistic missiles that were either used or destroyed during the war with Israel in June, CNN reported.

Coalition hails probe of leaked video apparently showing abuse of Gazan prisoner

Peloni:  What needs to be understood as the reality behind this scandal is that among the initial charges against the IDF soldiers was the charge that they had sodomized the prisoner in question, this despite there was never any evidence presented to support this charge on the video which was released.  Furthermore, the video itself has evidence of being selectively edited in at least two places, and counter claims have been made that these edits were effected to alter the true context of the events which were recorded.  This represents a massive blood libel against the IDF and seriously damaged Israel’s image during the height of its 8 front war with Iran.  The impact of these charges against the good conduct and nature of the IDF at a critical point in the war can not be overstated, and yet it was the intention of the authorities involved to sweep the truth of this calumny against Israel under the rug.  The revelation of this inquiry gives hope that the reign of terror held over Israel by the Israeli Deep State may be at the zenith of its illicit power and mismanagement.  One can only hope that this is true.

Coalition members welcomed Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara’s decision Wednesday to launch a criminal probe into leaked footage from the Sde Teiman detention facility that purported to show soldiers severely abusing a Gazan inmate last year, saying the video was leaked to defame the troops.

According to the IDF, investigators are probing the possible involvement of individuals from the office of Military Advocate General Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi in distributing the video aired by Channel 12 in August 2024. Tomer-Yerushalmi, who is not herself a suspect, is on indefinite leave due to the investigation, which Baharav-Miara said was launched following new evidence.
