– IRAN WAS THE PRINCIPAL TARGET
– LESSER TARGETS OF HIS WRATH WERE, HEZBOLLAH, EUROPE, UN.
– HE SHOWERED PRAISE ON TRUMP, ISRAEL, ARAB NATIONS AND THE IRANIAN PEOPLE
– PLEDGED TO NEVER ALLOW IRAN TO DEVELOPE NUCLEAR WEAPONS

Hi, Ted
Attendance at the UNGA gives a skewed picture of the world. I would like to present here a more balanced picture. I just made a map, dividing the world into four roughly equal parts, based on nominal GDP. Population figures can be impressive; but if the people counted cannot trust one another, do not keep honest deals with one another, take bribes, lie, cheat and steal property, they are not a powerful, effective people. That is the situation in Russia, in China, in India and especially in the Middle East and Africa — all of which consistently vote against Israel and the US in the UNGA. The US and Israel, on the other hand, have a history of fair and honest dealing, and of respect for the God who made us. As a result, these two countries, which together comprise less than 5% of the world’s population, control 25% of its wealth. Here are the four groups I’ve found, each controlling 25% of the world’s wealth;
I. The US, Israel, and the island nations of Palau, Micronesia and Marshall Islands.
II. All of Western Europe, including Ukraine and Georgia, plus their dependencies and Canada.
III. The SCO and observers, including China, India, Russia, Iran, Central Asia, Turkey, Syria and other allied countries. Together, these comprise well over half the world’s people.
IV. All the rest, including most of Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia, along with Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan and Australia.
One might note that the most powerful countries in Group IV and the vast majority of Group II, though they often vote against us in the UN, are dependent on the US for protection and assistance. Only Group III is consistently against us; and India has even engaged in joined production with Israel in advanced military weapons systems.
If the US delegation were the only one staying to listen to PM Netanyahu, therefore, he would still be addressing the richest and most powerful country the world has ever known.
@ Michael S:
I should have written “virtually” empty.
The UNGA chamber was not empty, I am happy to see. The majority of the delegates were not there, which is unsurprizing. It demonstrates how uninterested the body, as a whole, is about promoting peace.
