Reacting to clashes between police and Palestinian rioters on the Temple Mount Sunday morning, Avigdor Liberman was quick to criticize Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that it is his “responsibility to instruct the police and security forces to see an end to the Arab rioting on the Temple Mount.”
“Jews arriving at the [Western Wall] to mark Tisha B’av should be allowed to do so in a fitting way,”
Chaos gripped the Temple Mount Sunday morning after masked Palestinians hurled stones and shot fireworks at police officers who received information that a potential riot had been planned throughout the night.
The Palestinians amassed stones, wooden planks, fireworks and prepared petrol bombs inside the al-Aqsa mosque and targeted officers and members of the Border Police as they organized themselves in the stairwells leading up to the surrounding plaza.
“Today’s events are the results of the government weak policies in the face of recent terror incidents in Jerusalem which embolden the Arabs and the rioters to continue escalating their activities,” the Yisrael Beitenu Chairman went on to say.
They must be either defeated and removed or ex.pelled in mass
SHmuel, your right & Israel need not worry about world opinion. In fact I believe the world is getting a good view of the Muslim problem.
When, the sooner the better. start by removing the devil Hamas from Gaza, top to bottom.
G-d returned His people to the Holy Land and this time He expects them to stay. < His will.
@ SHmuel HaLevi 2:Its not whether but when.
Hillel said “If not now, when?” In my opinion he was saying that the only justification for not doing in now is an agreed upon plan for when.
@ Ted Belman:
Shalom Ted,
The concepts you present are remarkable but totally disconnected to the reality of Islam.
I for one will never accept to be a “child of sticks” on behalf of false premises or anything else.
I will now relate a personal experience dating back to 1976. I was then Chief Engineer at ZENITH RC / Overseas Radio Corporation in Givat Shaul, Jerusalem, ISRAEL. One of the projects included the assembly in Israel of a South African firm Color TV line.
To that purpose a delegation from that firm top level people visited to complete the negotiations. We did so.
After the process we invited the four delegates to lunch at a Jericho Restaurant, hired a Chevrolet vehicle and took our guests to Jericho passing through various formerly Muslim held villages and towns.
Every one of us was afforded and M-1 rifle and ammo at will.
Arriving at Jericho we were graciously hosted by the restaurant personnel. Yet outside a small group of the rabble approached the vehicle with rocks.
Took us some 15 seconds to load and walk outside, issuing one warning in Hebrew to vacate. Some reluctance was noticed, and we, four of us opened fire, (with real bullets), against the lower limbs of the vermin. No more bother.
Not against us and not against later visitors either.
Lieberman is totally correct much as I do not like his ways and means.
Muslims as a rule are mortal enemies. They must be either defeated and removed or expelled in mass.
They are violent, vicious, deadly and will kill us all given half a chance.
Oftentimes governments have a choice of whether to maintain the peace or uphold the law. Israel chooses to maintain the peace when to uphold the law will disturb it. There are many such examples that one could cite.
In Canada, though it has peaceful neighbors and no internal instability, the same choice can be seen. Whenever Muslims are demonstrating on one side of the street and Jews, in much smaller numbers, are legally demonstrating on the other side, the Muslims often become threatening, abusive and even physical. Rather than enforce the law against them, the police often remove the peaceful Jews to maintain the peace.
Similarly when a mob is very angry and riots, police cut them some slack rather than to try more aggressively to subdue them.
But there should be a limit to doing so. The rule of law must be protected not sacrificed.
In the case of the temple mount, violence is supreme and trumps the rule of law. Israel must be committed to regaining its sovereignty on the mount. This of necessity must include removing the Wakf from power. Obviously this would result in considerable violence and many deaths. Israel is now is now under great pressure on two fronts, the Iran Deal and the peace process. Israel must be smart about adding a third front and this time. To my mind, the best time to do it is when there is a Republican administration in power.
Does anybody truly believe that if we were to take back Har Habeit from the Waqf, that Saudi Arabia would go to war against us? Lots of screaming and threats, but in the end we have always been at our best, been most successful when showing strength, and not one Muslim country would start a war with us over it. Would Hamas become more of an enemy? Could they?
Hezbollah? The PA? So America would be pissed off…..BFD.
It’s time.
My biggest frustration Shmuel, is the feeling of helplessness….the inability to affect change. As you intimated, the only priority for these bastards is hanging on to the reins of power, certainly not the best interests of the Jewish Nation. Say what you will about Menachem Begin, who of course was flawed like all of us, but he was the last Israeli leader who put the country’s interest above all else. Can you even imagine a current MK actually stepping down?
I have zero confidence in any of our current politicians (I won’t call them leaders)@ SHmuel HaLevi 2:
@ bernard ross:
Netanyahu is the tip of the iceberg. The system, or what is called here, the “combina”, is putrid to the core.
Outright traitors roam at will up there. Bribery and self enrichment are rampant. I truly fear that the grotesque disgraces WILL abandon in fact all and run. With as much money as they can steal or get as bribes.
The military “command” is a joke that could not finish neither Hezbollah or later Hamas.
That garbage struts about and attacks Jews only.
this is who BB really is, this is what has taken place and continues to take place under his rule
the Jew is arrested, insulted and harassed in the nation of the Jewish people by kapo jews who serve the interests of Jews killers. Why does BB instruct his police and soldiers to abuse and harass jews rather than the muslims who are always violent to Jews? Those Jews who continue to commit these despicable sins are the kapos of the Jewish people. How is it possible for a government of the Jewish people to be instructing their police to arrest Jews for responding to the pogrom incitement of the muslims? Are the police at the Mount Jews or muslims?
Muslims should be permanently banned from the Mount as they have proven that they cannot coexist peacefully with the Jews. they take advantage of Jewish kapo govs to increase their jew abuse.
The Jordanian wakf must be removed from authority of the Mount because they are not only unwilling to cease the attacks on praying Jews but encourage the attackers by supporting them.
Muslims who sabotage, libel, attack, incite against Jews in their own Jewish homeland should be mandatorily deported across any available border.
this is one more example of BB’s fraud. In the same way that he fraudulently solicited jewish pro settlement votes, in the same way he fraudulently announces levy and E1 for votes, in the same way he has NEVER, NEVER, NEVER done one single thing to advance Jewish settlement in YS…….. in that same tradition and habit….. HE has NEVER done a single thing to protect Jews in their own homeland from muslims, to cease the libel against jews in their homeland from muslims, to cease the incitements to murder Jews in their own homeland from muslims,
BB must be held responsible for these omissions and commissions under his rule, he must no longer be allowed to escape responsibility with the fig leaf excuse that he is under foreign pressure because he has also never done anything about that pressure NOR the foreign libels.
In my view both BB and the likud should be sued by Israeli pro settlement voters for criminal and civil fraud as demonstrated by a willful pattern of action and behavior over a period of 2 terms plus. In each event he clearly uttered misrepresentations and falsely promised that which he had no intention to implement. The pattern is clear, in the US he could be charged with RICOH.
I am also disgusted that those who should be most protective of YS, the religious sector, also do nothing except for the religious zionists.
@ sabashimon:
I well understand you.
We all served…. and find ourselves constantly reduced to frustration, dismay and rage by a cadre of trash who will betray, lie, connive to avoid being removed from their destructive perches.
The “combina” will end up destroying the state if allowed.
I don’t want to hear Bibi or any other MK complain about America not recognizing Jerusalem as our sovereign Capitol, when we can’t even pretend to act as the sovereign over our holiest site, which happens to sit in the middle of that Capitol!!!!!!!
I live here, served and still serve, I have kids and grandkids here (12), my oldest grandkid is an officer in the IDF, and I am saying it loud and clear……We don’t deserve a State!
I couldn’t possibly be more disgusted.
SHmuel
I am trying to understand you, really am.
Can you say what you mean “join forces with those…” Who are these forces. You do not specify.
And what is their programme and what is your programme?
Yoiur help will be apreciated.
Sorry about having to come back to the theme.
I invite you to watch Arutz 7, INN, video of what happens to Jews trying to go up Har Habait today, Tesha B’Av…
You may then consider adding your own conclusions about what you will see with the conclusions about the rest of the miserable purported government acts against Jews.
Join forces with those seeking to erase from power the “combina” controlling Israel.
Really now…. Stop it!
Netanyahu was, is and will be a pompous ass peep squeak and liar. He will only, and I mean ONLY attack Jews, destroy Jewish properties and abandon Heritage, that while making faces on TV and speeching all over. So JUST stop picking on the twerp and do something to change the dancing music once and for all.
