  1. We were talking about Lenin. When a Left SR (Social Revolutionary), a party that had been alllied with the Bolsheviks earlier, put a bullet in Lenin’s neck — which couldn’t be removed and gradually caused his death several years later — in an assassination attempt, he took reprisals against whom? “The Bourgeoisie” collectively. Not the Left SRs.
    a) Collective Punishment works.
    b) Terror Works
    c) Counter-Terror works.
    d) targeting leading figures works.
    e) In targeting enemy personnel with valuable expertise, contacts, and experience, they will then be replaced by more inexperienced personnel thus adding to internal chaos within enemy ranks.
    f) What should be weighed is whether the border should be sealed, nothing in or out, no food, no supplies, nothing, and all electricity cut. Cutting water could be tricky because it could cause the spread of disease that might spill over the border back into Israel.
    g) needless to say, all gatecrashers and infiltators should be executed on the spot.
    h) escalate? I don’t think so. They are cowards.

  2. I’ve been saying for a long time that this is the only really effective deterrent. They should never have stopped. With or without collateral damage. Each time, a different Palestinian leader should pay for every act of terror against Jews with his life and the lives of anyone around him he can’t be separated out from, which creates an additional deterrent, since if he cares about his family, he won’t be able to go near them to ensure their safety. They will spend their lives in bunkers wondering who mght betray them. And then there will be internal purges, an internal rein of terror. All to the good.
