International Conservative Conference with Ben Shapiro

THIS IS A GREAT SPEECH –
ONE FOR THE AGES.

  1. Ben Shapiro’s speaking style, superficial though that may be, really puts me off. Being a never-Trumper and an election-fraud-denier clinches it for me. He’s a dangerous character.

Having said that, I wish that I understood “never-Trumpism” better. Why the vehement dislike of him, even among some conservatives like Shapiro? I agree that Trump’s personal life has been less than perfect, and, at least to my mind, his demeanor is somewhat bombastic, (he reminds me of Benito Mussilini). But, if you could take Trump’s mind and package it in a more acceptable wrapper, the Right would have an unstoppable champion. IMHO.

  2. Thank you, Peloni, for depicting the Ben Shapiro paradox which such clarity. It’s profoundly puzzling that a man with so many outstanding qualities can have such an outsized blind spot. I’m no less puzzled, but I’m reassured to know that others like yourself are also left scratching their heads as they try to make sense of his behavior.

  3. @Peloni
I was referring not to his Trump negativity but to your remarks about his rejection of the election fraud.. I appreciated that you raised that.

  4. @Ted

I am fully conversant with the fact that Shapiro is an anti-Trumper.

Yes, I had presumed you were aware of his position on Trump as he has never been bashful about expressing it. My comment was actually responding to the Shapiro’s answer regarding the “obviously false” election fraud in the Q&A following his speech.

  5. What a brilliant speech by a brilliant speaker. I have always really liked Ben Shapiro, as I think he is easily one of Israel’s greatest supporters and most consistent advocates. Furthermore, his support for constitutional values is seemingly without parallel. Tying all of this together with the grit and temerity and ability to speak clearly and concisely, he is a very admirable and capable individual. With all of that being stated, and, really, because of all of that which I stated, I find his complete blind and continued ignorance on the election fraud to be inexplicably curious and terribly troubling. I do in fact see his claim regarding the election theft being “untrue” is simply a dishonest one.

The limited acumen of the Never-Trumper community is certainly improved and distinguished, actually, by Shapiro’s presence among them, but it is a great misfortune, I think, for everyone that simple facts can not be accepted as real. The suspected vulnerabilities in the election process as certified by DHS have been proven to have been perpetrated, and this has been forensically certified by the highest level of established legal precedents. Furthermore, the fraud is still being perpetrated to this day in primary after primary after primary. With these later statements of fact, it really does raise a great many questions about a great many people, and Ben Shapiro is simply one of the brightest and most questionable among the lot of them.
