A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a 16-year-old Israeli in Jerusalem on Friday, and within less than an hour another Palestinian stabbed a policeman in Kiryat Arba as the latest wave of terrorist attacks continued to spread throughout the country.

The 16-year-old stabbing victim in the capital was stabbed in his upper body and was lightly injured. The victim, who did not immediately realize he had been stabbed, tried to chase his assailant, who fled, only to be apprehended by police who were combing the area. The victim was taken to Hadassah Hospital for treatment. The weapon has not yet been found.

Minutes later, police received word of the second attack, in Kiryat Arba. A policeman was lightly wounded when his attacker tried to snatch his service weapon, but was killed before he could succeed.

Later Friday, a female terrorist tried to stab a security guard stationed at the entrance to the Afula central bus station. The terrorist was shot and seriously hurt. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The ongoing wave of Palestinian terrorist attacks and the escalating tensions also sparked a round of vigilante revenge attacks: A Jewish perpetrator from Dimona stabbed four Arabs on Friday, three of them municipal workers in the city.

Two of the victims were lightly injured and two were moderately to seriously hurt in the attack. The attacker, who has a history of drug-related arrests, has been apprehended. In his interrogation he said that he believed all Arabs are terrorists.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, saying, “I categorically condemn any attempt to hurt innocent Arabs.”

“Israel is a state of law and order. We will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone who engages in violence and violates the law, on either side,” Netanyahu said.

Meanwhile, in Netanya on Thursday night, a mob attacked three Israeli Arabs and hit them with sticks and chairs. According to witnesses, the attackers yelled “Crush the Arabs in Netanya” and “Death to Arabs.”

Two of the Arab victims managed to flee the angry mob and a third was rescued by police. Witnesses reported that some locals tried to protect the Arabs with their bodies.

In Jerusalem, Israeli security forces braced for more unrest Friday after days of Palestinian attacks that spread this week from beyond the flashpoint of violence at Jerusalem’s holiest site and across Judea and Samaria to Israeli cities.

Israeli police barred young Muslim men from the sacred Jerusalem site as a measure to ensure calm. Men under 45 were barred while women of all ages were permitted to enter.

The age limit has been set intermittently in an attempt to ensure peace at the site, as it is mostly younger Palestinians involved in the violence.

On Thursday, four stabbing attacks left eight Israelis wounded as tensions continued to escalate. Around noon, a Palestinian teen stabbed a Jewish seminary student in the neck at a light rail station in Jerusalem.

Later Thursday, a young east Jerusalem resident working at a Tel Aviv construction site stabbed five Israelis with a screwdriver near the IDF headquarters in the city. A female soldier struggled with the attacker and prevented him from snatching her weapon, and an Air Force officer pursued the terrorist and killed him.

The victims were a man and a woman in their 60s, a woman in her 40s, a man in his 30s and the female soldier, in her 20s.

Shoshi Dahan, the soldier’s mother, said: “My daughter was coming back from the base and was walking toward me. She crossed the street and suddenly I saw the terrorist lunge at her and stab her in the head. I saw her bleed. I screamed and cried and ran toward her. She lay down on her gun and a police officer and a soldier came to help her up.”

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai visited the wounded at Ichilov Hospital in the city.

“It is important that we show restraint,” he said. “We need to continue living, going to school, to restaurants, continue on with our routines in the city of Tel Aviv and across the entire country.”

Shortly afterward, the wave of stabbings reached Kiryat Arba near Hebron. Meir Pavlovski, 25, was stabbed several times by a Palestinian terrorist who managed to flee.

Pavlovski sustained serious injuries in the attack and is hospitalized in Jerusalem.

Later Thursday, 21-year-old soldier Dvir Peretz was stabbed by a Palestinian terrorist from Jenin. Peretz was evacuated to a nearby hospital in moderate condition, where he underwent surgery and is currently stable.

Civilians at the scene subdued the terrorist before security forces arrived and he was taken into custody by the Shin Bet security agency.

“I heard someone yelling ‘I’m being stabbed, I’m being stabbed,'” recalled Gideon Yahia, 60, a resident of Afula who helped subdue the terrorist.

“I turned around and saw the soldier on the ground and the terrorist attacking him. I went closer and saw he was holding a knife so I kicked him. He let go of the knife and I was joined by other civilians and we subdued him. The police came and he was cuffed and taken from the scene.”

    @ babushka:
Obama and Netanyahu are both actors and both insincere in their words. While Obama lies every time he opens his mouth Netanyahu always utters the politically correct thing. In both cases their words mean nothing.

Obama has a philosophical agenda that is evil.
Netanyahu has a vocational agenda that facilitates evil.
    The practical difference is negligible.

German populist far-right gains amid refugee wave

Berlin (AFP) – Almost declared dead only months ago, Germany’s populist far-right is seeking a comeback amid a record wave of asylum-seekers, hoping to anchor itself in mainstream politics.

As Chancellor Angela Merkel has opened the doors to unprecedented numbers of refugees, she initially earned popular support but also quickly faced xenophobic hecklers who angrily branded her a “traitor” and worse.

Anti-foreigner fury has flared most visibly at rallies of the resurgent PEGIDA movement, short for “Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the Occident”.

  4. Shabbat Shalom Israel

I received an email today from a friend of mine in Israel. He moved to Israel several years ago from Canada but visits here often to see friends and family.

He sat Shiva today for Rebbetzin Chana Henkin and her husband Rabbi Yehuda Henkin .

He writes I write these words to you today with tears in my eyes. Tears for the dead and tears for the living. I just returned from a Shiva call to Rebbetzin Chana Henkin and her husband Rabbi Yehuda Henkin whose son Rabbi Eitam and his wife Naama Henkin were brutally murdered last week by Arab terrorists. The murders as you probably know took place with their four young children in the back seat of the car witnessing their parent’s death.

Rebbetzin Henkin is one of the foremost trailblazers in Torah education for women in our time. She established one of the most important institutions of higher learning for Jewish women named Nishmat and she is a scholar in her own right. Her husband is also a very prominent Torah scholar as was their son Rabbi Eitam of blessed memory.

So how does a parent deal with the loss of a child? The pain is unbearable. The Rebbetzin was playing with her four orphaned grandchildren, she was on the ground laughing as a grandmother should. She greeted us warmly and sat with us and strengthened us with her words. She said “The rebirth of the Jewish nation after 2000 years of exile. The coming out of the ashes of the Holocaust and the establishment of the Jewish state. The chapters of that book she told us are being written as we speak and her son and daughter in law are inscribed in that book with their blood. She said those words to us with not one bit of anger. She said them in anguish but more importantly with pride.I cannot describe to you the power of those words and the strength of her faith. We walked away from the Henkin home knowing “Am Yisrael Chai”.

This Shabbat let’s all pray for calm in Israel.

I thought I would share this with you. Israel – always in my thoughts, always in my prayers, always in my dreams! Dove

  5. Shalom to Revoke Citizenship of Israeli Arab Terrorists

Interior Minister says he will work to revoke the Israeli citizenship of those who committed terrorist attacks or against Israelis.

after revoking their citizenship send them to gaza.
Let us hope that this is not just more BS rhetoric that does not materialize or fizzles out. This has great potential if extended back to prior acts and deportations ensue. I hope that the supreme court that BB protected from Shaked’s bill, that he obstructed, does not obstruct this policy with their leftist MO.

  6. you don’t see the deadly threat Arabs present to Jews in the country.

Netanyahu fully understands the threat, but he is entirely indifferent to the suffering of Jews. It is the tie that binds with Obama. They dislike each other, but they have reached an accommodation. Netanyahu is subservient, and Obama reciprocates by being malicious.

I didn’t claim that it was a good accommodation.

  7. Mr. Prime Minister, you live in a secure mansion with armed bodyguards.

In your sickening moral equivalence, you don’t see the deadly threat Arabs present to Jews in the country.

Stuff that imbecilic insult to the intelligence where the sun don’t shine as Jews are going to defend their lives.

They and their children aren’t going to be sitting ducks for you and the Israeli elite so you can look good to the world.
