Daily Caller co-founder and Fox News host Tucker Carlson may have dealt a death blow to former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley’s presidential hopes Friday in Iowa.
Tucker first made the statements about Haley during his keynote speech at the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday night.
“We spoke about some of the politicians who should not be running the country. We were pretty specific about it,” Tucker reiterated on his Monday night show, a clip of which was shared on Twitter.
“I’ll never forget it as long as I live,” Tucker told the audience in Iowa, before quoting Haley’s statements after George Floyd’s death and the subsequent riots that overtook many American cities in 2020. “And then she said, ‘in order for healing to occur, what happens next must be personal and painful for everyone.’”
Tucker responded, “Really, why’s that?”
He argued that Haley had used the death of George Floyd to make a statement that would please The New York Times because she cares about what the publication and its readers think. “That’s just true. It doesn’t mean she’s a bad person, I don’t think she’s a bad person. I’ve always liked Nikki Haley,” Tucker continued. “If she was right here, I would tell her to her face: I like you.” (RELATED: ‘Mad Scramble For Power’: Tucker Describes What It Will Look Like When Biden ‘Inevitably’ Steps Down)
“[I] don’t want you in charge of anything,” he continued, which was met by laughter and applause from the audience. “Because the second things get intense, the second the other side really unleashes and starts yelling so loudly that you can’t think clearly, I want a leader who can still think clearly.”
@Ted
I suspect the reason for this has been due to the fact that they don’t want to destroy the solidarity of the MAGA movement. They simply want to cut the head off and replace it with a more compliant pseudoTrump candidate, eg Haley, Pence, etc. to capture the immense support which Trump commands. They want to use that increasingly universal support of Trump to obtain historic levels of power so that they might employ that power against the MAGA movement and enslave the people of the US. They hate Trump because they can not touch him, they can not control him and they can not successfully imitate him. This latter part is where the real problem lies for the Uniparty/Deep State. Indeed, their inability to imitate him lies in their lack of interest in understanding from where his power originates. He offers hope to the people that they might one day come to see a return of legitimate government while also seeking a return of a just judiciary which might remedy difficult question for the good of the people, rather than for the preservation of the power and the powerful within the govt. The Uniparty’s/Deep State’s inability or disinterest in comprehending this fact provides them with an ever extending use of power and abuse of the public without any concern for how it might possibly affect their own interests in maintaining control in the future. If they were more capable actors their long-term success would likely be quite certain, but given the fact that they appear to only have an expertise in ineptness, their long-term success seems quite dubious, and the greatest concern lies in their ability to wield significant devastation upon the American people and the world at large, as they continue to try to re-run their efforts of 2020, or something similarly destructive, in an attempt to try to maintain their hold on power.
@Honeybee
I also lost all respect for Jared and Ivanka when they failed to stand by Pres Trump when the election was stolen from him. They should have stood by his side and fought the forces of evil.
But no, they hightailed it out of town.
@Edgar
Yes, you are as perceptive as ever. There is no need to follow an election where the winner is selected rather than elected. Hence, as the fraud is palpably obvious to everyone, even to the rabid anti-Trumpers who deadpan a belief that it was the most secure election in history, there is no need to generate a public discussion as to whom the elites will choose to come next. In fact, I do believe that the crisis created among the Left by this question is the only reason a replacement has not yet been selected and installed. Unlike in 2020 when they had Trump to unify their determination, even to the extent of installing the Big Guy with all his considerable baggage, they currently have no element upon which to focus their efforts upon, and hence the replacement has not been selected to be put in place. Harris’ incredibly obvious failings have stood as a good source of insurance to prevent Biden being pushed out sooner, but I believe that this has been changing quite a bit over the past few weeks. Consequently, I suspect a new selection will be announced sometime in the coming weeks or months for the fawning, duplicitous, and far fewer, voters of the Left to fawn over and celebrate as if it was a choice of their own choosing. It is quite a cynical ruse being played by both the elites and their “voters”, I believe. Just my own thoughts of course.
Ted, I too lost faith in Nikki Haley when she turned on Trump. I respect loyalty, she should have kept quiet.

My love affair with Haley ended when she attacked Trump.
Every time I encounter people who don’t like Trump and wont vote for him, they all attack him personally. Rarely do I hear any opposition to his policies. The reason this is so is because the MSM attacks him personally and rarely discusses his policies.
I do not pass judgement on him personally and judge him solely on his policies and accomplishments.
@PELONI-
Thank you for the comprehensive info. I just saw that the Washington Trump sold for $375 mill, and the Toronto Trump for $300 mil.
The Dems may be dealing more fake charges, but this won’t stop the MAGA folks from voting for him.
Haley declares that the Biden fraud was kosher…..Hmm. I smell a stab at Trump here. With 70-75% of Repubs declaring that the vote was fraudulent, how con she expect them to accept her candidacy.
Decrepit as Biden is, and was before being “elected”, no Dem seems to have emerged as voteworthy. Although, in truth, I have not been following their politics.
@Edgar
I have read that his net worth dropped to about >$2 billion down from >$4 billion before he ran for the White House. He had to sever all connections with his businesses and due to Dem shenanigans citing the emulent clause, govt meetings all over the world, which often would be held at his hotels, were precluded from doing so. It is my understanding that this is why the Washington Trump Tower was recently sold.
As to the Truth Social company, there is an ongoing merger with DWAC. The merger is intended to make Truth Social a movie studio, as I understand it, and challenge the Woke agenda propaganda being driven into the youth of America. The merger was greatly anticipated, but the DOJ has opened a number of ‘inquiries’ into TMTG, the parent company of Truth Social. These probes, of which three more were begun last week, have played havoc with the stock price on TMTG. Additionally, part of TMTG’s financial base is in stock holdings, and the fall in the stock market is affecting them just as it affecting everyone else. Consequently, it is anything but a certainty that the merger will be successful, which is unfortunate. Trump resigned from the board of directors just prior to the DOJ probes, so I do not believe he has any financial obligation to the company currently, or so I have read. As to Truth Social failing, I do not believe it will fail, but the probes are trying to tie the company to Russian interests, again as I have read. If they succeed it will likely be years to come, unless the company declares bankruptcy first. More political lawfare at its finest.
Additionally, Devin Nunes just announced that they had released the apps for Truth Social in England, FYI.
Haley seems to be doing it like Biden did- a handful at a time…I wonder were the “30” standing in widely separated painted circles…(being too stupid to estimate 6 feet apart) ?? I believe that her display at the UN was to attract attention like “Horatius on the Bridge”. to stand out as a “battler”. And maybe just as mythical… !!!
As we now see, she’s spraying toxic venom all over the map. And to me, sounds desperate and demented. Publicity, even dubious, is better than none.
Naturally, as she intends to stand as an aspirant for the Presidency, she is attacking the most popular (assumed) candidate, I hope Trump does not even dignify her by an answer, but waves her away like a buzzing bluebottle. MAGA is a huge movement, distinct from the Establishment Republicans, as we all know, and she has alienated them all, or at least most…I hope.
Does anyone know if what she says about Trump losing his businesses and that his new Social Video platform has failed are true or false.
I’ve read that 100% of MAGA people support Trump.

So, she paints a picture of Trump as this deranged, desperate, irrational man who has vilified Pence, invented the delusion of the election fraud. She then turns on the people, suggesting that Jan 6 was a riot and that Trump was “turning the American people against each other”. More that this, she has never spoken out regarding the Jan 6 political prisoners. Given her name recognition and her position as a soon to be contender in the 2024 election, her words would certainly have held some weight.
Now lets consider the words she breathed over George Floyd:
Haley never spoke out condemning the George Floyd riots which her words could actually be seen to support, and I also don’t recall her suggesting that the election theft, which affected every American in the country, “needs to be personal and painful for everyone”, even though it was. To further characterize Haley’s checked boxes, it should be recalled that in 2016 she compared Trump to a serial killer and later supported the libel that Trump was a racist when she stated
On top of all of this, it should be recalled that despite Haley’s support of Israel, she chastised the MAGA movement by suggesting Jan 6 was a riot, that its leader was unbalanced, racist, suffering from delusions of an election theft and still is ignoring the Jan 6 prisoners. Yet, the MAGA movement is the strongest pro-Israel organization in America. This is a common theme which she has with Pence and Liz Cheney, each of whom are strong proponents of Israel, who found it useful to help empower the Dems to power, forcing Israel to face the greatest challenge of its history, alone. How does this fact square with Haley’s record of strong support for Israel.
Note:This isn’t even including the criticisms that she held back Trumps anti-Abortion policy while in the UN, as has been reported by the Catholic Crisis Magazine.
After considering all of this, I honestly can’t see how anyone could disagree with Tucker at all.

Well, there are conservatives and then there are conservatives. Haley was a strong proponent of Israel while part of Trump’s White House, as UN Ambassador, and it was a stand that she took even before being part of his administration. As a strong supporter of Israel, myself, it would take a great deal for me to question that stand on Israel, and yet, I certainly do.
It should be recalled, though many may likely have missed it, that during the faux riot of Jan 6, the Republicans held a conference in Amelia Island Fl. There was a great deal of interest as to whether Trump or Pence would speak at the event, but given the betrayal of Pence to empower the Dems by certifying their stolen election, neither Pence nor Trump attended. In fact, the conference was notably un-noteworthy with the single exception of a statement that was made by Nikki Haley:
Her harsh rebuke of Trump’s efforts to have the election theft rectified seemed somewhat surprising, particularly in light of the fact that Iranian agents were involved in perpetrating the fraud. Her words were also not some momentary oops, as she soon afterwards made a series of scathing statements regarding the events following the election. She stated that:
[the GOP played a role, adding that] “if we are the party of personal responsibility, we need to take personal responsibility.”
…
“We can and should talk about our major differences, but we must stop turning the American people against each other — and this Republican Party must lead the way.”
…
We need to acknowledge he let us down. He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”
…
“I am so disappointed in the fact that [despite] the loyalty and friendship he had with Mike Pence, that he would do that to him. Like, I’m disgusted by it.”
…
“I think his business is suffering at this point. I think he’s lost any sort of political viability he was going to have. I think he’s lost his social media, which meant the world to him, I mean, I think he’s lost the things that really could have kept him moving.”
…
“Never did I think he would spiral out like this. … I don’t feel like I know who he is anymore,”
…
“I understand the president. I understand that genuinely, to his core, he believes he was wronged,”
…
“He believes it…That would be like you saying that grass is blue and you genuinely believing it. Is it irresponsible that you’re colorblind and you truly believe that?”
…
“The shameful display of the riots gave America’s enemies an opportunity…

I heard Nikki Haley speak in a small setting of 30 people and got to speak with her in private to thank her for all she did for Israel. She fought at the UN and against Obama installed bureaucrats. She knows how to get things done.
As a politician some lip service to the other side is not necessarily a sign of caving. I would call it smart. Unlike Tucker who has a audience/supporters, that is self selective and believes him. Nikki has to build her supporters and pandering a bit to the NYT might get her some independents. Her record of support for Israel and America is wonderful.
Tucker should really think twice before throwing a great conservative candidate, who checks so many boxes , under the bus.
