Bibi’s rhetoric is all wrong or is it his policy

By Ted Belman

Early on in the game Bibi called for quiet for quiet. He got his cabinet to go along. Subsequently he expanded it to quiet for “long term quiet” which require something like the dismantling of the rocket capabilities inside Gaza, similar to the manner in which the chemical weapons were dismantled in Syria; developing a mechanism to enforce the cease-fire; and a restoration of Palestinian Authority – not Hamas – control over the area.

Right from the git go he should have demanded the demilitarization of Gaza. Nothing less would do. He should have said that we wouldn’t stop the the IDF until it had been achieved militarily or diplomatically.

Instead he postures as someone wanting a ceasefire. Wrong. If the world can demand the removal of Chemical weapons from Syria, Surely Israel can demand demilitarization.

He is demanding demilitarization in Judea and Samaria, now and as part of a deal. Similarly he should demand the same from Hamas.

This offensive should be all about achieving demilitarization, not quiet or even extended quiet.

You think Feiglin is better??? Feiglin is part of the problem not it’s cure. Rhetoric does not make a leader and Feiglin is part of the Likud collective and a deputy speaker in the Knesset. So he writes blogs and gives a few speeches mostly to christians in America. (Barf)

Where did you get this mishigas from???? Feiglin almost exclusively speaks to Jewish crowds in northamerica!
Your only point, in my estimation, that has some merit is questioning his tactic to take over the Likud from inside, and his relative obstinance in face of what you call failure but he would call progress, albeit slow.
Any other criticism of Feiglin that you may have, based on his performance in Knesset, and overall profile in the news and media, is totally incorrect. For example, he’s sought after for media appearances more than the overwhelming Right wing nationalists, with the exception of Bennet. If you compare him to most Likud/BY members or others from the Right, elected and unelected, he speaks better than them, is more congruent, and smarter. He doesn’t compromise his style. He just did a beautiful job as the Speaker at the Knesset by kicking out all the Arab MKs who called Israeli soldiers murderers.
He has been in Knesset fro just over a year. He is not moshiach! what do you want him, reasonably, to accomplish by now???

You say he’s a fraud yet he’s never been in a position of power were his ideology could be tested. His policies are entirely sound and in keeping with Torah law. You may not agree with his tactics but calling him a “fraud” is certainly over the top. My fear is if he ever has a position of real power – P.M. for instance that he might sing the usual credo that “the view from here is not the same as the view from there”. Then you can call him a fraud but not before!

  3. Even most who voted for Feiglin in the Likud primaries have shifted to Bennett.

Shifted to Bennett? How? And how do you know they have shifted (from Likud to BY)? Have there been elections that I’ve missed since 2012?

Moreover, if you think Feiglin is a fraud (just to have tried to change Likud from the inside – which is an understandable point of view, politically speaking), you should invent a new word to qualify Bennett, who is even more of a bold-faced liar than Bibi himself. And that’s saying something.

    Netanyahu’s only attribute is betrayal.

    Here’s how the Shabak works:

Back in ’97, PM Netanyahu couldn’t get his Hebron withdrawal past his cabinet. The next day, an IDF soldier, Noam Friedman, who had just spent 3 months in a psychiatric ward, took a bus to Hebron and shot up the Arab market in front of numerous television cameras which happened to be there as well. Due to international pressure, the withdrawal was passed by the cabinet that evening.

And I also told the gathered that the outrage would come from Kach, since the Shabak runs the organization. It is no coincidence that a few days before, Kach members publicly staged a Pulsa Dinura, death curse ceremony against Ariel Sharon. That trick was played one month before Rabin’s murder by Kach members led by one Avigdor Eskin.

    Here are the predictable details:

A Jewish soldier who went AWOL from the IDF one month ago killed four people and wounded 12 others when he opened fire inside a bus in an Arab town in the Galilee.

Angry residents lynched the 19-year-old following the shooting. He was identified as Eden Natan Zada from Rishon L’tzion, a city south of Tel Aviv. Israeli media reported that he recently moved to the Kfar Tapuach community in northeast Samaria after turning to religion and becoming involved in extreme political activism, but the administrator of the community said he never heard of the man. The killer’s parents, worried over their son’s radical change, said they had asked the army to take away their son’s weapon but were told by officers there was no need to do so. Israel media tried to link the murder with anti-expulsion protests and pointed out that the murderer had refused to take part in the planned expulsion. Former MK Rabbi Chanan Porat told questioning interviewers there is absolutely no connection to be made between the anti-expulsion protests and the murder.

Many questions remained unanswered following the murder, which occurred shortly before 6 p.m., particularly concerning events immediately after the shooting. Police approached the bus in the town of Shafarm after the shooting and removed an angry mob from the bus and reportedly tried to protect the vehicle from hundreds of angry Arab residents. Five officers were injured as the mob pelted them with stones and bottles. Several people got past police, but it was not clear whether the shooter was killed following the police intervention or whether he died from the initial mob attack. Tzuberi was in an IDF unit other than the Border Police and it is not known how or why he obtained the Border Police uniforms.

MK Uri Ariel (National Union) said the IDF must investigate why the murderer had his weapon with him after having been on AWOL for an extended period of time.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said, “This was a reprehensible act by a bloodthirsty Jewish terrorist who sought to attack innocent Israeli citizens…. I send condolences to the families of those who were murdered and my best wishes for a quick recovery to those who were wounded. The entire State of Israel, regardless of race, religion or sex, strongly condemns this act of terrorism.”

Once again, the sociopath Sharon had four Arabs killed and 16 others shot just to get his little Gaza withdrawal done. The shooter was another in a long line of Shabak patsies which includes Yigal Amir and Baruch Goldstein. And, as always, the “leaders” of the Right and the religious communities cower in shame over the incident. None dare actually blame the real perpetrators, the government of Israel and its internal security apparatus.

  5. I have great news! A cousin of mine lives in Rishon L’Tzion with their family. They called me today and said that they would like to come over to stay for a few days to calm down. During the Lebanon II War I called them to ask if our children could stay with them for a few days. They were busy. So are we now.

    Bring on Moshe Feiglin!

Bibi is a coward. It’s Pillar of Defense (barf!) all over again.

He is divisive in that he is dividing the right by sticking to his failed agenda of taking control of the Likud from the inside. Even most who voted for Feiglin in the Likud primaries have shifted to Bennett. Feiglin is such an egotist that if the Indians don’t follow him as a personality cult leader then he won’t play the game. 16 years of trying is enough to convince even the most loyal Feiglin supporter that he is a fraud and or a fool and should be ignored. Like leaving skid marks asap.

  7. What to do.
Both Netanyahu’s policies and rhetoric are wrong. Why? Because Netanyahu was, is and will be the wrong person for the PM office. His repugnant attempts to harm Mr. Rivlin which are still ongoing represents him and his wife classic character.
Soon after the inevitable fold in Gaza and that after embellished piles of BS are dispensed to the four winds, while making faces on TV, Netanyahu will return to attacking Jews and abandoning Heritage.
And as you all may have noticed, he will do his utmost to avoid taking in and executing the Islamic bestial entities that murdered our three children. He will also release most if not all Hamas prisoners as well.
It is our understanding that of the six Jews trapped and tortured by the politzei to “confess…, three were freed already by court order. The said poltzei is having an impossible time trying to stick a fabricated file to two more. The remaining psychotic infirm suspect will be later on sent for medical treatment.
    Netanyahu’s only attribute is betrayal.

  8. Netanyahu is risk averse. He does not relish a fight he can’t win – and isn’t about to pursue victory in this round of fighting. Decisiveness under pressure is not his strong suit.

Any one who expects Israel to crush Hamas will wind up being disappointed. I don’t have any expectations of an Israeli victory.

  9. Bibi is a coward. It’s Pillar of Defense (barf!) all over again.

The only good outcome would be his resignation and retiring from politics. I’ve seen enough of him. Bring on Moshe Feiglin!
