This means the King is abdicating.
By Ted Belman
The President of the Jordan Coalition for Change, Abedalelah Amaala, tweeted on July 28th,
“Abdullah II, Rania, his son Hussein, his hope, his prime minister and his entire government are outside Jordan in a tourist resort. Jordan is on the brink of collapse”
What this means is that King Abdullah II is abdicating along with his government.
The Jordan Option called for his abdication in 2017 and the change of Jordan into a republic lead by Mudar Zahran. This is great news for Israel as Zahran wants to cooperate with Israel, not confront her. He intends to reaffirm the Jordanian citizenship of all Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. Thus Israel will be able to annex most of the land without the need to give a path to citizenship for the local Arabs. Furthermore Zahran will effectively replace the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA will be done away with.
The next day the Secretary General of the Jordan Opposition Coalition, Mudar Zahran, tweeted,
For those with selective amnesia:
This is the map of Palestine as recognized by the League of Nations in 1917, starting from the sea of Jaffa and ending at the Iraqi borders. Churchill established the principality of Transjordan as an experimental Palestinian “autonomy” on the… pic.twitter.com/UZeCpMCqeu— Mudar Adnan Zahran ???????? ????? (@Mudar_Zahran) June 28, 2023
A day earlier he had tweeted,
“The remembrance benefits the believers;
One people, not two peoples, in spite of the crow of the clear..
The map of Palestine approved by the League of Nations in 1917, starting from the Jaffa Sea and ending at the Iraqi Trebil borders.
Churchill established the Principality of Transjordan as an experimental Palestinian “autonomy”, and the residents of eastern Palestine used the Palestinian passport until 1948, and the Palestinian pound until 1952, as there was no Jordanian dinar before this date…
The future is a new arrangement of peace and fair prosperity for the inhabitants of historic Palestine in both its Arab parts (Jordan and the areas of the West Bank) and Jewish Palestine (Israel). The overthrow of the marginals and their henchmen, the Eliasin Sarsour, is one of the inevitabilities of the coming future as a first step for the stability and prosperity of the entire planet…”
This actualization was set in motion at a Conference on the Jordan Option held in the Begin Center on Oct 17, 2017. Ted Belman’s remarks at Jordan Option Conference in 2017.
One year later I wrote, Trump’s Deal of the Century a.k.a The Jordan Option.
“According to a very well-informed source (and reiterated in 2022) , the administration of the A areas, will pass from the PA to Jordan. These areas include, Tulkarn, Qalkilya, Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Jericho. The B areas will be absorbed into the C area in order to remove the Swiss cheese effect. Hebron, on the other hand will be administered by a joint local council made up of Israelis and Palestinians. This is the Confederation that Abbas rejected a few weeks ago”
“My source also tells me that the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip will be given the option of being in a confederation either with Jordan or Egypt. Either way, negotiating a Gaza truce is part of the deal.
“This means that the PA will be done away with because its primary function is to wage war against Israel’s legitimacy
“All Palestinians living west of the River will be seen as both Jordanian citizens and foreign residents. There will be no need to give them Israeli citizenship.”
Then on Aug 28, 2022, I wrote, The Genesis of the Jordan Option and “Confederation with Jordan”. It is self-explanatory.
I explained, How the Jordan Option will impact Israel and Who is Mudar Zahran and why is he important?
It is not clear to me what is meant by “confederation”. I hope it does not mean that Jordan will be the sovereign of the “areas of the West Bank”. I have suggested many times to Mudar Zahran, that Israel should be the sovereign and that said lands could be leased to Jordan for a long time.
Mudar told me yesterday that Israel will be the sovereign over all lands west of the Jordan but I am not sure if he means Gaza also. He went further to explain in more detail what was happening. It seems that what he reported a year ago is still the order of the day.
At the Jordan Option Webinar in May 2022, he gave this talk.
Jordan’s Future Between the Abraham Accords and an Arab NATO – Mudar Zahran
And last summer he wrote this article:
Change in Jordan, Easy, Cheap and Good for Everyone – Mudar Zahran.
I was very disturbed by what I read and told him so.
“Your stress was on the gradual creation of the MEUnion similar to the EU. In addition a defense pact like NATO is envisioned.
“In order to make the MEU remotely possible, you must re-educate the Arabs to stop hating Jews, Christians and infidels. This would require at least three generations of Arabs to be taught to love their neighbors in schools and in the Mosques. They must be taught to love democracy and reject the autocratic rule. They must do away with Sharia Law and give up on Jihad, except for the personal jihad.
“I do not believe this is possible. Perhaps you could make an argument for why it is possible and how it would be done.
“Secondly, the EU is breaking down now due to the stresses caused by Muslim immigration, open borders and the Ukraine War. Nationalism is on the rise. I for one think nationalism is a good thing. MEU is antithetical to nationalism and sovereignty.
“You stress that people will be able to live and work anywhere within the MEU. I find this very troubling. the JO envisioned mass emigration to Jordan. This envisages the opposite. It will require the security fences to be removed and travel restriction for Palestinians lifted and will permit Palestinians from A and B to live anywhere.
“The only restriction is that Israeli citizenship will be denied them. So A and B simply will be areas where Jordanians/Palestinians will have autonomy.
“Do I understand this correctly? Is this the future?”
“I still believe that all refugees must emigrate to Jordan and that all Area Bs must be ultimately done away with the inhabitants absorbed into Area A or preferably Jordan.”
At the conference in 2017, I said:
“Liberman came up with the asinine plan to double the population in Qalquilya,
I had a heart attack. What Insanity. We should be moving the residents of Qalquilya out of the area not adding to them.
“Now Martin Sherman points out how can you have authority over Area C when you have all these cheese holes all the way through it? How do you do the border? What do you do with all that? So from my point of view, we have to focus. We have to empty out Qalquilya. Empty out Tulqarm. Empty out any refugee camps that are in our heartland right at the middle, right adjacent to Highway 6 and we have to clean out all those area B lands and then do Area C.
“Thank you and just to show you how magnanimous I am I’m quite prepared to have the Palestinians in Hebron have an emirate as proposed by Mordechai Kedar. They want to be removed from the PA. They’re ready for self-government. They want to live in peace. They can stay and be an Emirate plus all the cities that are on the ridge, of Ramallah, of Shiloh, of Jenin. You know how far Ramallah is from Amman? 40 miles. We can make a highway. They could stay there and they could travel by highway to Amman.
“I can’t see it any other way.
Mudar texted me an answer today.
Ted
“A very important part of the JO is the compensated immigration to Jordan. What’s happening with that?”
“We must move everyone out of the B areas either to the A areas of preferably to Jordan.”
“MEU is the opposite of Nationalism. I’m for nationalism.”
Mudar
“There will not be a program to move them per say.”
“But they will automatically and naturally move to where the work and welfare are”
Ted
“Correct. So there can’t be work or welfare for them in Israel”
Mudar
“Nothing in Israel for them”
Ted
“Considering that only about 100,000 Palestinians have work permits does that mean the rest will have no choice but to move to Jordan?”
Mudar
“I think so. Also, we will cancel the pay for slay and end UNRWA. And of course the Arab curriculum must be overhauled. And we will criminalize all attacks on Jews.”
Looking good to me
To quote Yogi Berra,
De Ja Vue all over again!!
@BEAR.
All good questions. Obviously, it hasn’t happened yet. I do not know exactly when it will be a fait accompli. Nevertheless, I believe it will happen.
Be patient. When Mudar was interviewed on INFO WARS, he said it will happen before the end of the year.
I believe it will be much sooner than the end of this year.
@Ted you wrote (see above for confirmation)
That was about 12 or 13 days ago.
So did the King actually abdicate? Did the Jordan Government collapse? Did Mudar take over?
Not an attack on you Ted, just a series of questions. If you prefer not to answer or delete my comments or part of them I will understand.
@Peloni, I had answered you completely but Ted decided he did not approve and removed 90% of my answer. So if you want the full answer, maybe Ted will repost the whole response if you ask him to. Clearly I am persona non-grata. That I understand, as no one would like being pointed out wrong and why they are wrong.
Did not rewrite? But actually you just admit you did rewrite what I answered and only left what you felt like (how convenient). You did not allow me to respond to Peloni’s attack on me defending you.
Previously you removed factual comments because could not debate them. They pointed out 100% how some of the things you published were false. This is not name calling but I was simply pointing out why the JOC people you quote are not credible, based on their claims. Reminder claim of a sub-committee that does NOT exist in USA Congress to investigate the Jordan situation (that is not name calling) but a factual challenge that can proven or not.
So much for your belief in freedom of speech. My guess is you will delete this or modify it to suit your purposes.
@Bear.
I didn’t rewrite it. I just removed your attack on Peloni and your repetition of your objectional remarks that you used in you comment to me. Besides, I only removed 7 of you comments and I did so, because they contained ad hominem attacks.
@Wow Ted, so first you removed 100s of my comments. Now you rewrite one. Lots of credibility Ted.
Ain Kovod etcha.
I received this email.
@Peloni
I will not comment on this further at this point. When Ted, has reliable confirmed proof that the J/O has occurred in the real world and Mudar has formed a partnership with Israel for peace I will cheer and say Ted was brilliant. Until that happens like I said I simply do not believe it is real!
@BEAR
There you go again with your “false narratives, disinformation and faulty hope” accusation. Your charges are baseless. You know nothing yet you attack me as if you are the expert and privy to what is going on. You’re not.
I will continue with my support of the JO.
@Bear
Just an observation, but it is a fair one to make. The question you chose to answer is not the question Ted asked of you – not even close actually. He asked you why you are so invested in discrediting him, and you replied by further attempting to discredit him. This suggests rather clearly that Ted’s followup inquiry about how doing so benefits you a rather poignant one for you to answer, even as you have ignored both of the questions he did ask, while you re-threaded the needle to further abuse him while answering a question that was never asked of you. Perhaps you will share what feeds your intent to do so, or perhaps you will simply double down (triple down?) and do it again? The choice is yours to make of course, but I think the choice you make will answer the question either way.
Perhaps that makes it not just an observation on my part, but an observation and a question as well, but I believe they are both fair to share, and together deserve a response which might actually be more responsive than the deflective/abusive response you shared in your last post.
Ted, I glad you asked why I have been persistent in expressing that I do NOT believe this Mudar J/O scenario is coming to actual life. I think that a site like Israpundit should be invested in exploring possible real world improvements or solutions to Israel’s problems.
When a site like Israpundit provides false narratives, disinformation and faulty hope it takes away from being able to improve the situation even if for discussion purposes. No other motive. I always admired that you made Aliyah at a advanced age. That said the spinning of the Mudar J/O scenario is not admired by me.
Years ago I had high hopes for Israpundit being a possible place for the discussion of possible solutions or improvements to Israel’s situation. Sadly, I have concluded it is not that in the least.
@Bear
Since you recognize that the JO would be a good thing, why are you so invested in discrediting me. How do you benefit?
Why don’t you just ignore what I am reporting and wait to see how things pan out.
Are you trying to protect my followers from having false hope. Are you their protector?
You don’t have any hard evidence that it wont happen.
I have given you many reasons to be hopeful. You ignore them all.
But why do you work so hard to discredit the optimism.
You write:
Once again you are attempting to discredit me by suggesting that maybe I intended to deceive. Discrediting me or the JO or Mudar seems to be your agenda.
@Ted it did not happen (trying to split hairs now in your communication now it appears) and whenever you say it is happening or soon, it never happens.
Movie Script, Disinformation by JOC to try and make things happen perhaps. You intending to deceive maybe or maybe not, as I am not inside your mind reading it.
The JOC and Mudar clearly are hoping the King abdicates and perhaps that is the motivation for the clearly false reporting (Disinformation) of things that never happen over years. So that leads to no credibility with many of us and one no longer gets the benefit of the doubt due to this!!
I hope Jordan becomes an ally of Israel with a new supportive government and populace. Hoping that does not make it occur, even their exists a few ex-Jordanian Pats who are in favor.
@Bear
Allow me to correct you. I did not say he “left Jordan and abdicated” as you allege.
I quoted this tweet from the Pres of the Coalition for Change in Jordan;
With my comment;
I did not say he has abdicated.
The only proof that you rely on to call this “disinformation” is that it hasn’t happened and there is “No news of this anywhere in the world.”
Google says “Disinformation is false information deliberately spread to deceive people.”
You have no proof that it is false or that I am deliberately posting it to deceive people.
It is July 8, 2023
Above Ted, you quoted on June 28th the King and his government left Jordan and abdicated and the Jordanian option is being actualized. 10 Days later this has NOT occurred. No news of this anywhere in the world.
Write a real article with credible news sources when it occurs. Until then I consider this all Disinformation at best or a prelude to a good middle eastern movie script.
@Bear
You don’t appear to have read my responding comments to your comment. Please do so. I don’t want to repeat myself.
@Ted, Mudar has nice sounding ideas to Jewish or Israeli ears (not Palestinians who hate Jews in the large majority). Where does he live England.
Who is today in charge of Jordan, the King. Who will be next week and the month after most very likely be in charge of Jordan the King. Yes, one of these days the predictions of the King going may occur (through law of averages end up correct) because dictators and Kings usually eventually get replaced. Then you can say see that was the inside information I could not divulge (sure you betcha ya)
In the middle east Kings and Dictator’s do get thrown out and replaced but with someone with an army behind them. Mudar, what army (virtual) ? Jordanian Army of course you can not prove it because it resides in the virtual world at best.
A few days ago Mudar or one the JOC you quote Ted, said the King abdicated and his whole government has left Jordan. Why does this not make news anywhere in world over several days?? Obvious answer it did not happen and was just another boy crying wolf or phony abdication call.
Suggestion have somone write a movie script of Mudar coming to power and get a movie made out of it. It is a good middle east spy drama story. I am serious about that. You should copyright it and might make some money on it. That is the closest to reality it will ever occur. You should do it because it would be a spring board to more people hearing about it and get some real world traction.
@Bear
On July 5 Mudar tweeted
@Bear
You have no evidence to back this us. I submit you just assume the King will be there because it is difficult to remove a dictator.
Mudar has the Jordan Army behind him but I can’t prove it. He also has the Jordan intelligence service behind him but not the King’s intelligence service.
You will see this when the transition takes place.
Abedalelah Amaala, Pres of the Jordan Coalition for Change, tweeted today:
On July 5, he tweeted
and

@Bear
A year ago Mudar spoke at my webinar about a growing regional approach. Today I posted a video which talked about Israel joining Centcom as further evidence of a regional approach to organizing the ME. Finally I posted the interview of an Arab expert wo also talked about a regional approach. Jordan is central to that regional approach.
@Bear
You are absolutely right. Nevertheless, Mudar has never catered to the Jew haters. Instead he has always preached cooperation with Israel as being in the best interests of Palestinians. He does so knowing that he will lose some support, maybe a lot of support from the Palestinians/Jordanians. At the same time his attitude and preaching has endeared him to Israel. He is a leader. He believes he can change the Palestinian/Jordanian mindset.
It is your right to disbelieve that it is happening. Similarly it is my right to work at actualizing it or to believe that it will happen soon. It is not wishful thinking on my part. But I can not give you details.
But I ask you why would I flog a dead horse. To what end?
I believe the JO is alive and well and will soon be a reality. So I work on it. Surely you must believe that I believe in it.
Remember Abdullah has a terminal illness and won’t live very much longer. His father died in his sixties. His son is gay and has been rejected by the Jordanian people as the successor. I read that Congress has also rejected him as the heir apparent.. That means the end of the monarchy. The only question is who will take over. Will it be the MB or Iran or will it be someone backed by the gulf states, the US and Israel?
There is much talk about the New Jordan which will be a republic and the end of Jordan as a monarchy. A draft constitution for the New Jordan has already been written. A great deal of planning has taken place to usher this in.
You can ignore all that if you want but I think its meaningful.
One more thing. The PA and Abbas are reaching the end of the line. Israel must make plans for what to do with the PA. Israel cannot allow the PA to hold elections as that would mean that Hamas will replace Fatah.
So I am sure Israel is planning an alternative. That’s only logical.
If Jordan became the dual Jordanian/Palestinian State and was committed to peace with Israel and non interference in Israeli affairs that I agree would have great potential for peace and to advance the middle east. If it would open up its land to emigration of Arabs who currently reside anywhere in Israel including Judea/Samaria that would be even better.
Trouble is Jordan is ~80% Palestinians who hate Israel and so do the rest of the Jordanians. So call me skeptical to be understated in believing that the Mudar/Belman Jordan Option actualization is going on now more than in a virtual reality. So why claim it?
@Bear
I would say “I did my best. Too bad. It was worth fighting for.
It would have been good for Israel and the Palestinians. It would have ended the Arab/Israeli conflict. It would have improved relations with the US government. And so much more.”
@Bear
I would say that a great opportunity to permanently resolve the crisis in the Middle East had been thwarted with the support of the very people who would largely have benefited from the societal changes which would have actually fomented peace from the ground up, rather than from some treaty down. I would say that the powers who find a benefit in betraying Israel, forcing her to submit to a peace which can not bring peace, have gained yet another serious victory against not just the Israeli people, but the Jordanian people, as well as the Arab populations across the entire region – all of whom suffer daily from the instability fomented by maintaining this alien crux within Israel, which is simultaneously tied to maintaining a false narrative in the region, a narrative which both toxifies the entire world opinion against Israel while it also strengthens the radical control of Islamists over the vision of moderates such as Mudar and MBS. I would say that the Saudi’s foolishly and uncharacteristically, failed to pursue their own interests over the interests of the West, which have placed their greater support for Iran over their support of both Saudi Arabia and Israel. I would say that Israel passed on gaining a genuine partner in peace, whose very success would stabilize both Israel and Jordan and who has spoken out publicly on Israel’s behalf before international arenas when no other Arab would dare to do so. I would say that the Pals chose to maintain their subjugation under the hostile care of their mortal enemy Hashemite rulers rather than following their own interests and their own leadership towards a more equitable, stable and prosperous future. I would say that the future is bleaker, less hopeful and more hazardous and more unstable for the entire region and likely the entire world.
In fact, I would say all of these things would necessarily be the consequence of the JO failing to become operational. Yet, until such time as the facts materialize to demonstrate your conclusion to be providential, I would say that for all the reasons I have listed above, and many more, chances are much greater that the Jordan Option actually WILL be actualized and that none of the foreboding words which I have written here will ever need to be lived. I hope I am right and you are wrong, but in any event, the future will certainly show us what comes nextm and which of us might be the better judge of what that future will look like.
Most likely you will not publish this comment as you deleted all my prior comments from the past because you were unable to debate them.
What will you say when this does NOT occur and Jordan option is NOT Actualized? Chances are it does NOT happen.
A propos of my post yesterday mentioning Israeli Arabs support of the YESHA infiltrators, I see in Arutz 7 today, that the “Israeli Arabs support the Jenin “Terrorists”.
The report says that “thy demonstrated in support of”.
Chana –
I feel that the Golan Heights are not on the table. Israel can not, will not ever relinquish them to anyone,………. ever.
I recall the times when farmers peacefully tilling their fields below, were regularly shot at and often killed from the Heights, then in Syria’s hands.
With no redress possible.
That’s all over now.
TWD-
What you post says is a must, and I would assume that concurrently with thr movements I’ve described, they wold be doing just that. Concurrently or very shortly before, hours not days.
Israel used to be good at simultaneous action on several fronts each dovetailing into the other. The last time I think, I can’t recall one since, ,was ENTEBBE.
@Ted
Jordanian passports, incentivized migration, ending UNWRA, extending sovereignty… Actually, I would say it is looking really good. Congratulations on American Thinker publishing this article. It provides many important details which many will be reading for the first time.
I hope it is all true. As someone else said. I have had my posts deleted so I doubt this will appear. Honest question what will happen if it does not happen again?
West of the Jordan R? He says nothing about the Golan now included in israel, by annexation. I’m not sure Zahrain can be trusted as he’s changed his original proposal.
Edgar
When the IDF finally attacks, time will be of the essence. The attack will start by hitting all know targets of missile storage by plane and by artillery.
But first the IDF will mobilize their forces on the border on some protect.
That’s my sense of it.
@ Edgar G,
To add to my post, …If the Israeli armour cuts across just BELOW the Litan, it would be better -and is really what I meant to say.
Then they could take the Hezbollah emplacements in reverse and destroy them all the way down to the border. (and make sure they are never reoccupied) .I’ve made the same post a few times over the years and never got a single comment on it. .So I don’t expect any, now.
Water also has a “cleansing” effect.

No one is expecting it to assuage Western Jew Hate. It is a purely local Middle East affair, but of course it’s success will have profound ramifications on how the West will relat to both Jordan and Israel then. A true peace for the first time in Israel’s history from an Arab country with no strings attached. Penalties for Jew Hate etc. Hard to believe, but it seems well on the way.
The first thing Mudar needs to do is to make sure of co-operation from Israel. Assuming he will have it, then banning the M Brotherhood etc.etc.
Presently, just he other day, the PM said that Israel NEEDS the P.A.
Mudar’s programmes shows that he will smoothly slide into the PA functions, do them better, and that they will be only temporary until the smoke clears, with many or most of the YESHA people moving to Jordan..
Let it happen very soon.
I suspect that Hezbollah, and /or Iran will take the opportunity of the temporary chaos to up their aggressiveness.
Re; the removal of the tents from Israeli soil. Israel should go straight ahead, but with units of attack helicopters hovering out of range of missiles. Also with enough armoured brigades poised around the Kiryat Shmona area. At first signs of serious trouble they can cut across to the sea and roll up the enemy emplacements down to the Litani.
I’m merely speculaitng of course and know nothing of the terrain, but assuming a means of doing it, I think it would be a war winner.
Especially if they could run hoses from the sea and fill the underground emplacements.
I hope that this is right, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Hard for me to believe that the Islamists and the Globalists will allow it. Even if a Jordanian republic, led by Zahran, does result, it seems unlikely that Israel could then annex “most of the land” without the rest of the world losing its mind. We’ll see.
@stevel
The first thing Mudar will do is ban the MB. That’s what SA and UAE have done.
He means it when he says he will criminalize Jew Hatred and antisemitism.
In 2018, I wrote, “The B areas will be absorbed into the C area in order to remove the Swiss cheese effect.” And so it will be.
Mudar is not alone in these plans. He has enormous support and will be able to withstand any opposition.
This will not satisfy the MBs, the jihadists (of the world) and/or the ayatollahs!
This will not affect Western antisemitism.
