T. Belman. In general, the left is trying to maintain power in the hands of the civil servants rather that giving the power to the Knesset. For me, the civil servants represent the Deep State.

This morning the anti-Zionist HAARETZ reported on:
Jordan riots.
Israeli security officials are worriedly watching the latest developments in Jordan. At the moment the stability of the kingdom is not believed to be at risk, but the events of the past week show the difficulty that the royal house and the government in Amman are having with the combination of protests, violence and economic crisis.
The riots throughout Jordan began last week in protest over rising fuel costs. In the Ma’an district in southern Jordan, which in the past was also the focus of anti-government foment, the deputy commander of the district police was murdered. At the beginning of this week, the police raided the hideout of those suspected of the killing, members of an extreme Islamic group. A few others suspected of belonging to the group were arrested. The riots are still ongoing, although over the past 24 hours their intensity has reportedly waned somewhat.

Attorney Gur Blei said the bill required to allow the appointment of Religious Zionism Chairman Bezalel Smotrich as a minister within the Defense Ministry stipulates that “the appointed minister can overrule the minister subordinate to him” in disagreements between the two.
Last week, Netanyahu said in an interview to the Saudi network Al Arabiya that he and the next defense minister would set the policy in the West Bank. Later, he said decisions regarding the Civil Administration would be made in accordance with the agreement with Religious Zionism.
Police
Ben Gvir is pushing through the Knesset, with Netanyahu’s support, a law that would make him the police’s de facto commissioner, shifting the balance of power between the political and professional ranks in Israel’s law enforcement.
The new law is focused on giving him – one of the most racist and extreme politicians in the country – the power to set priorities, turning the police into a political entity under his control.
The Mister should have the power to set priorities. e.g. The police have prevented Jews from praying on the Temple Mount because it would cause rioting. The Minister should be able to set the priority of allowing the prayer even if violence ensues.
