I remember an article some few years ago in the Wall Street Journal titled, The Ugly Premise of Settlement Opponents, in which James Woolsey, former director of Central Intelligence under President Clinton, pointed out that the charter of the Fatah party – which is that of the Palestinian Authority’s putative president, Mahmoud Abbas – foresees a “Palestine free of Jews.” He referred to the Fatah demand that:

Israel must give up all of Jerusalem before it would begin negotiations on a two-state solution.
Mr. Woolsey also referred to President Obama’s embrace of the Palestinian Arab’s judenrein policy in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) as well as in the eastern half of Jerusalem. The judenrein policy employed by the German Nazis was designed to ethnically cleanse areas of Jews throughout Europe, which the Wehrmacht had invaded and occupied. The chilling words, “Juden raus,” Jews out! barked in German by Hitler’s brutish soldiers, attended all such terrifying aktions.
In Obama’s now notorious Cairo speech, his first major address on becoming president, he essentially embraced the PA’s anti-Semitic policy by announcing that Jewish neighborhoods in eastern Jerusalem are “settlements.” In fact many of the Jewish neighborhoods that were on Obama’s proscribed list are, in actuality, in southern or northern areas of Israel’s capital, Jerusalem, but facts don’t seem to matter to so many.
In Jerusalem, according to Israel National News:

300,000 Jews live in the neighborhoods of Gilo, French Hill, Talpiot, Ramot and Pisgat Ze’ev, among others.
I have long urged Israelis and pro-Israelis alike to stop using the term, “settlements,” in English when describing Jewish communities in Israel and, instead, begin calling them by what they are; villages, towns or cities. After all, Arab communities are always referred to as villages, not settlements, even though many have existed for fewer years than many Jewish villages. This is a double standard as you will see later in this article.
This word in English has now become a pejorative term indicating that the Jewish communities are an alien and colonial presence imposed upon another people’s land. This is a blatant falsehood and puts fact upon its head for it is the Arabs who are largely an alien presence within the biblical and ancestral Jewish homeland and particularly in its very heartland known as Judea and Samaria (aka the West Bank).
During the British Mandate of Palestine, Arab immigration, mostly illegal, was condoned by London. From 1922, over 100,000 foreign Arabs entered the Mandatory territory from neighboring Syria, Egypt and Transjordan – even from as far away as Sudan – with the connivance of British officials. Indeed, if we look back at what the British Governor of Sinai from 1922-36 wryly noted in his contribution to the Palestine Commission Report, we find the following:
This illegal immigration was not only going on from the Sinai, but also from Transjordan and Syria, and it is very difficult to make a case out for the ‘misery’ of the Arabs if at the same time their compatriots from adjoining states could not be kept from going in to share that misery.
During the preceding Ottoman Turkish occupation, Arabs and Africans had also been brought into the geographical territory; the Africans as slaves from throughout the vast Ottoman Empire. Sadly, Arab propaganda has been so effective that it has succeeded in framing the Arab imposed conflict in erroneous terms of Jewish settlement displacing Arabs.
The thousands of Arabs who illegally flooded into British Mandatory Palestine effectively destroyed the opportunities for continuing Jewish legal immigration. According to Ambassador (Res), Yoram Ettinger, these Arabs who now call themselves Palestinians are descendants of the 1845-1947 Muslim immigration from the Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, Morocco, Bosnia, the Caucasus, Turkmenistan, Kurdistan, India, Afghanistan and Baluchistan.
Ever appeasing the Arab world, Britain, on the very eve of the Second World War, imposed the infamous 1939 White Paper, which severely limited Jewish immigration into Mandatory Palestine and led to millions of Jews finding no refuge in Palestine, whose gates were now closed to them, or elsewhere in a hostile world. They thus fell under the Nazi extermination machine which resulted in the horrible deaths of six million Jews, including one and half million children: One third of the world’s Jewish population.
The Palestinian people does not exist
Remember, there has never in all of recorded history existed an independent, sovereign state called Palestine. And remember the so-called Palestinians are an Arab invention. No such people by that name have existed in centuries past. Here is an Arab leader and PLO executive committee member, Zuheir Mohsen, admitting this fact himself on March 31, 1977 in the Dutch newspaper, Trouw:

“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese… Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism…”
The PA claims that there are 2.5 million Palestinian Arabs in the West Bank but, according to Israeli Ambassador (Ret) Yoram Ettinger, in an article dated October 16, 2009 titled, The Case For Demographic Optimism, there are in reality 1.55 million Arabs. He writes:

“An audit of Palestinian and Israeli documentation of births, deaths, school and voter registration and migration certifies a solid 67% Jewish majority over 98.5% of the land west of the Jordan River (without Gaza).
“The audit exposes a 66% distortion in the current number of Judea & Samaria Arabs – 1.55 million and not 2.5 million, as claimed by the Palestinian Authority. In 2006, the World Bank exposed a 32% bend in the number of Palestinian births. Bloated numbers have provided the Palestinians with extravagant international foreign aid and in inflated water supplies provided to them by Israel.”
Today there are still scores of Jewish properties, illegally occupied by Arabs, scattered throughout areas of east Jerusalem. They have remained in legal limbo because of international pressures against successive Israeli governments. This has led to endless delays in the return of the land and properties to their rightful Jewish owners.
Remember, Jews living in the Old City of Jerusalem and in surrounding Jewish villages were driven out of their homes and land by the British officered Jordanian Arab Legion in the 1948 Arab-Israel War. That territory – biblical and ancestral Jewish Judea and Samaria now known by its Jordanian occupation name, the West Bank – was illegally occupied by Jordan from 1948 until its liberation by Israel in the 1967 Six Day War. Only two countries ever recognized Jordan’s illegal occupation: Pakistan and Great Britain.
But an unholy chorus around the world delights in describing Jewish villages and homes in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem as “illegitimate.” This while turning a blind eye to the massive illegal Arab settlement expansion, which is continuing apace.
Be assured, if Israel made the catastrophic error of abandoning its biblical heartland, it would not be long before the same unholy world chorus began referring to Jewish villages, towns and cities within the so-called 1949-1967 green line as illegitimate. James Woolsey then continued:

“The Obama administration seems committed to stopping growth of any kind in all Jewish “settlements” in the West Bank. This policy implies acquiescence in the banning of Jews from a future Palestinian state.”
In other words, blatant Palestinian Arab and Muslim Apartheid.
He then went on to ask that if 20% of Israel’s population is Arab, why is it so unacceptable for Jews to live within a proposed Arab state called Palestine? Why should such a Jewish minority be forbidden in Palestine?
Mr. Woolsey answered his own question by pointing out:

“The Obama administration essentially urges us to accept that, because Palestinians will kill unprotected Jews, Jews cannot be permitted in a Palestinian state.”
Any child will tell you that the Arabs, who call themselves Palestinians, are not interested in living side by side in true and lasting peace with a Jewish state. All territory they gain from Israeli concessions immediately become launching pads for ever more terror and aggression against what is left of Israel.
In 1929, the Arabs massacred the ancient Jewish community in Hebron while Britain occupied Mandatory Palestine. Hebron is one of the four holy Jewish cities, the others being, Safed, Tiberias and, the jewel in the crown: Jerusalem.
There was no Israel in 1929 or the existence of any so-called Israeli occupied territories, yet the Muslim hatred of non-Muslims existed then as it exists today, and will tomorrow.
The Muslim Arabs have said repeatedly that they do not want to have a state side by side with a Jewish state but instead of Israel. That is why they have rejected breathtakingly generous offers of “land for peace,” which carry with them enormous and near suicidal risks for Israel’s security and existence. They don’t want peace because they would have to give up their demands for all of the land from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea – which anyway is a mere 40 miles wide. In other words they want the whole enchilada and nothing less. Only those without ears to hear or eyes to see can continue to negotiate with representatives of such an implacable and genocidal hatred.
I am reminded of the following words from my earlier published article in the March 2009 edition of American Thinker magazine titled, The Two State Solution is 87 Years Old.
It referred to the earlier British dismemberment of Mandatory Palestine in 1922 and the loss to the Jewish people of land east of the River Jordan. I wrote:

“It is instructive to remember that upon the granting of the Palestine Mandate to Great Britain, an eminent British celebrity and Christian supporter of Zionism, Josiah Wedgwood, addressed a Jewish audience of thousands at the Royal Albert Hall in London in which he urged them to stand up for Jewish rights in its homeland.”
According to the late Shmuel Katz in his groundbreaking biography of the great Zionist leader, Vladimir Ze’ev Jabotinsky, titled The Lone Wolf, Wedgwood said:

“… This lesson I want the new Jewish nation to learn and to get by heart: Stand up for your rights. Let us have more of the spirit in the Jewish movement of my good and gallant friend, Jabotinsky.”
I then went on to write about the delusional two state solution:

“Sadly, Israeli governments have become notoriously fearful of rejecting outright the deadly trap inherent in the so called two-state solution. Their muted responses have merely encouraged world leaders to repeatedly breathe new life into the discredited plan. The searing tragedy is that the two-state solution may presage for the Jewish people another Final Solution: The Nazi’s euphemism for the Holocaust.”
And now, lo and behold, the latest Secretary of State, John Kerry, is currently visiting Israel to push, predictably and yet again, for the two-state-solution.

Wasn’t the US complaining that China’s currency needed to be revalued higher to the dollar. What can countries do with tons of devalued dollars that they hold? What will happen in America when the devalued dollar cant buy imports? What will happen when the debt is repaid in devalued dollars? What will happen to black market dollars when the currency is re issued? What will the US do when all the US dollars are rushing back to buy US property and resources and wheat? Will they put export taxes on wheat and import tax on investment. What will the world eat? My experience with inflation is that hard goods increase in value.
If you owe the bank 100000 dollars you better worry, if you owe them 100 billion they had better worry. The major problem I see for the US is the devaluation of savings(cash) and inflation. However, jobs should increase when imports become too expensive. Further, there might be a way to separate US dollars generally from the US dollar reserve currency. I predict a european spring before there is an american spring. Combine a euro spring with the muslim spring and one has to ask if europeans are halal for their muslims to eat 🙂

The point of the two posts I made is that the debt in America is not only unsustainable but demands massive digital printing of money debasing the dollar which will lead if unchecked to a global meltdown even war. Why the debt and it’s causes are another matter and I don’t disagree with you.
America maintaining the dollar as the worlds reserve currency is key. If they lose the fight to keep it, the worlds financial and global economies collapse and America becomes a third rate 3rd world country. That’s why I think Iraq and Saddam were invaded and why Gaddafi was ousted. Both were threatening to destabilize the dollar as the reserve currency of the world.

Although in this nstance the last 20 years was a shift too dramatic, it is obvious that the ratios must change if the bulk of poplation growth is in the developing world. After all, one could not expect the one billion to be providing the other 8 billion all their goods. Ultimately it makes sense that asia also becomes a produces and a consumer engine. I think that Chna is delaying becoming a consumer engine until after it corners enough resources and builds enough empty cities for the future. Ultimately their idea must be that asias consumption will rekindle US export growth. It just happened too quick and is borne by too few. What annoys me is that the finger for the current problem is pointing everywhere except where it belongs.

Europe, the US and the UN have never ceased the age-old habit of extortion of the Jews based on fear of what they might do. the Jews are afraid to reverse their position of the “peace” process and the TSS out of fear of what the EU, US and US will do: again extortion based on creating fear in the Jews.
There is a basic principle in law that agreementss made under duress are not legally enforceable or binding. Israel needs to state that it is changing ALL prior paradigm; that all the prior paradigms were based on extortion and fear. Based on experience the fears are well grounded. At this moment the despicable axis is funding jew killer orgs(political wing of hamas), enthusiastically pitting their govt resources and supporting every possible org to obstruct the jews from the land of Israel, and extorting concessions based on the tactic of fear. The last people I would take advice from are those who have been steering the economy for the last 40 years to the current situation for their own benefit. This is nothing to do with capitalism vs communism it is about corruption, greed and exploitation. The govt and financial sector will seek to make the taxpayer shoulder the burden of debt as usual. My own view is that the US has poured billions over decades into the global economy with the latest transfer being to asia. a way needs to be devised to make those who caused and benefited pay. It appears that the current model being pursued is to devalue the currency through printing to devalue the debt and to improve trade deficits. However, this model also devalues the wealth of the lower 80% of americans. The upper 20% always benefits from the dislocations they cause.(CIA factbook on US economy states that since the 1970’s 80% of gains have gone to top 20% of population; this means that as technology improves the economy the top 20 % are gobbling up a massive proportion)
It is interesting that the free market advocates have steered US resources to make a centrally planned, non free market economy with state owned corporations the fastest growing and most successful economy in the world.

Thank you, Yamit, for frequently pointing out these facts. Some years ago, during the early 2000s, there were plenty of frantic warnings about the upcoming financial meltdown, which peaked in 2008. But those warnings were reported by alternative websites, not the mainstream media. ~~~ Here in Canada, even during the meldown itself, the only economists the MSM interviewed for advice were those those associated with the bank industry. Of course they played down the entire thing and diverted blame away from the real culprits. They relied on the complexitiy of the derivatives industry to fool everyone.~~~~~ These days the alternative media keeps warning that the other shoe is about to drop with really devastating consequences for whatever remains of the middle class. The most dramatic signals are coming not from some corrupt African country but from Europe itself. ~~~ And with global finance whatever happens in the EU can happen anywhere. Nothing is safe anymore. Not people’s pensions, bank savings, safety deposit boxes – or jobs, if they still have one. Combine this with the US morphing into a high-tech police state, and we have the stuff of nightmares.
This question raised is the hardest one of all – where to draw the line, if anywhere? Drawing a line has a certain finality to it that can only be undone with war as happened in 1967. Allowing one state risks having that state inundated by Islamists.
In Canada we essentially have two solitudes (as we call the situation in Canada between English and French) on steroids. The imperfect and defective model in Canada, however, should not be overlooked. French people are predominately in Quebec and constantly complaining that their language and culture are being dominated, ignored and overwhelmed by the English majority. They do all in their power to keep the separatist pot on a boil. This gives them endless funds, transfers and incentives to stay part of Canada. It is a delicate dance and over time has created a co-dependance and politically strange outcomes like a separatist federal party, the BQ or Bloc Québécois (now almost dead) participating as MPs in federal politics/parliament.
So, if Israel were to have provinces, each with its own jurisdiction, and with a separation of responsibilities between federal and provincial, but with the government of Israel managing and speaking for the country internationally, perhaps that could work. The Pals could have say over their religious and other needs such as voting for provincial leaders.
Of course, it all depends on Islamists who have repeatedly used violence and war to give us their final answer on numerous occasions – that being a NO state solution, without Jews, but with Islamic warlords rampaging the region as a final solution to the issue.
The other possibility is to go back to the British Mandate and re-examine the total Mandate, including Jordan, to find room for more Palestinians in the Palestinian state of Jordan.
A lot of seeming unrelated world events will I believe conspire to make our conflict with the Palis a non event so remote from the concerns of the rest of the world as to make it but a small foot note in history.
Global economic meltdown combined with major ecological or possibly pandemic viruses and global war are just some of what may be in store in the coming year or two.
That does not mean we should be passive or complacent but less worried than at any time in our recent past that we will be forced to give away our national heritage.
