A few weeks ago Israpundit, my blog for over 13 years, got HACKED and my domain name, israpundit.com, was stolen.
I bought a new domain, namely www.israpundit.org and connected it to my most recent backup. Hardly skipped a beat.
Except that my traffic took an enormous hit as there was no way to inform my potential readers that the url for israpundit was changed to www.israpundit.org
Please bring this to the attention of your Facebook friends and Twitter followers.
I sent a similar letter to a list of bloggers that I associate with and most of them are helping. See these for examples

Thank you.
This is a police matter, Ted. File a complaint witht he domain hoster. Call the FBI. You are a lawyer.
Anyone who looks at your domain history can see that the domain was seized a month after a renewal anniversary. So it is clear you had ownership.
@ rongrand:Thanks for reminding me about this. I will deal with it. I have another twitter account @TedBelman

Ted is sitting in my kitchen having a piece of Honey Cake and a cup of coffee. He will return shortly.
Is everyone seen Ted lately?
Was he hijacked along with the old website?
I’ve been away for some time and I get the feeling something isn’t kosher (I trust I can say that here among friends).
I just looked on twitter and sure enough there is @Israpundit (with Ted’s picture)the post ” Muslim Actress Tells Off Sheik Cleric – WOW http://wp.me/p10xge-4iRm8

cling on it and it takes you to the hacked Israpundit.com???
Oh well, I tried.
@ Ted Belman:
Double Standard.
I see alot of jargon on here that is of no value.
Ted, I don’t want to be a pain in the butt, but your picture is still appearing on Twitter @Israpundit and the post links back to the old website .com. ???
Either you don’t know how it works or someone posing as you and Israpundit is tweeting away. If the later you should notify twitter.
Thanks for the advise.
BTW > G-d bless Israel
@ dove:I deleted it simply because I saw no value in the discussion. Not here anyways.
@ M Devolin<
Of coarse I'm still rockin and rollin! Hockey season starts soon……another winter coming up 🙁
When can I move to a nice warm climate?
@ M Devolin:
Thanks Dev – good to see you! I really don’t like being labelled ‘religious’. Most Jews I know are the same way. I admit – I need the shul connection. This past summer was hard. We felt every ache and pain of Israel.
It will be good to catch up with people during the High Holidays. A lot of lakers that disappear for the summer.
Glad to hear you have found a more pro-Israel shul, Dove. Glad to see you’re still rockin and a rollin. Hockey season is nearly upon us, eh.
@ honeybee:
C’est dommage! I knew a christian stood up in his church and screamed ‘SHIT’. Then he said ‘More of you are upset at that fact that I said shit instead of caring about millions of babies who are being slaughtered!! A few examples of when ladies use the F word is not out of line. Get a grip!!
Cest dimage!

Ted agrees with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
okey doke Ted, even though your site deleted my response to Eric yesterday. I didn’t think it was that bad compared to alot of the jargon I have to sift through.
This may not mean anything to you but I took the plunge and became a member of a different shul today. It was soooooo easy! I guess my name is out there! Sorry Bill L but I dropped the Reform – too many negatives towards Israel and sympathy for Palestinians.
I am happy to be part of a shul that is a strong supporter of Israel.
@ Ted Belman: Ted I posted your request on my facebook page plus one of the pro Israel facebook groups I belong to.
If you have not done so I would suggest sending a couple of e-blasts to your subscriber list plus putting your request on the Facebook groups you belong to.
I really hope these assholes do not get away with stealing your URL.
Ted, your domain name got registered with
https://www.namecheap.com
I think if you contact them and tell them that they are registering a stolen domain, they may help you.
They really should if they are reputable company.
It’s worth trying.
@ Bill Levinson:Thanks Bill.
