The three Hamas politicians were ordered to leave J’lem. Instead, they’re meeting foreign dignitaries, handing out literature and holding press events.

Sokel writes to me to tell me a great deal was left out.

    Unfortunately, some of the best material got cut, including the vituperative infighting between the PMO and MFA and an official acknowledgment by the Ministry of Public Security that Hamas and other militant groups operate covert cells in Jerusalem.

But the infighting is not the reason nothing is done.

    Police spokesman Lt. Col. Shmulik Ben Ruby told the Post that “we don’t want to detain them right now,” citing unspecified “operational reasons.”
