  1. @EvRe1

his efforts to reach out to Silicon Valley, RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Blacks, Hispanics, etc. These are facts.

    You cannot be serious!

He has just insulted every conceivable minority through that “comedian”.

  2. Did you read the comments from that video? All praising the muslims of Dearbornistan, the epicenter of jihad in America. Either these people are incredibly naive or hypocrites when just a few months ago Harris was rightfully trashed for pandering to this community. But it’s great when Trump does so. I have no doubt now that American conservatives would easily turn against the Jews for muslim votes. And the demographic shift will inevitably make the political power of muslims surpass Jews in America. You will see GOP support for Israel crater. Remember there was a time when Democrats were pro-Israel. What makes anyone think the GOP won’t move in the same direction as the demographics shift and with Michigan an important toss up state? We’ll only have the Evangelicals on our side and their influence within the GOP is dwindling.

    Trump has already “flipped” (@Laura).

Trump courting the Arab voters in a surprise visit to Dearborn, Michigan 2 days ago – watch the whole thing but especially in the beginning, mins. 6-8 and at about min. 15 and on:

Israelis and other Jews should stick to their own (Jewish) politics and solve their own (Jewish) problems (which are quite numerous and difficult) and quit playing the role of the World Jewish Ghetto.

There is nothing good to be had from the US or Europe, or, likely, anybody else.

  3. I don’t think Trump is invested in supporting radical Islam or jihad inside the United States or anywhere else in the world. All of his actions have shown that he is an enemy of jihadist Islam, and a friend to Jews and to Israel.

If the Arabs or Muslims of Dearborn, Michigan want to vote for Trump, that does not imply Trump is somehow invested in radical Islam just because he meets with them and receives their endorsements graciously. It does not imply any change in his foreign policy.

It also would not surprise me if he is able to work with those Muslims who want a peaceful Middle East in Michigan to make the Muslim enclaves in Michigan more in keeping with America. It serves no Americans to have cities or towns that owe no allegiance to America or our values. Trump believes and has said this that people who hate America do not belong here.

So this is not a sign that Trump has somehow “flipped.”

Trump’s goal is to make the Republican tent bigger, to include more and more people in the conservative party who share a love for America. He has shown his willingness to do this with his efforts to reach out to Silicon Valley, RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Blacks, Hispanics, etc. These are facts. The rest is nonsense.

  4. @peloni

    WATCH THE VIDEO!!!

I don’t have to prove anything to you, I posted umpteen times the same map of Trump’s Deal of the Century which spells the end of Israel, and even THAT doesn’t impress anybody – maybe no one ever looks at it?

About the alleged 30% of the territory going to Israel – Netanyahu showed a misleading map in his presentation.

Trump sneaked to Dearborn several days before the election, listened to an Arab rant about how Arabs and their Palestine are victimized and slandered. and how Arab immigration is good for America, told them what a fine people they are, and in the end said that if he is elected, there will be peace in the ME, and the reason there is no peace in the ME is because of the clowns they have in the US government and the clowns they have in the ME, you have people in the ME who are not doing their job, you have people in the US who are not doing their job, and when they get it right, you can have peace in the ME. When asked whether he talked about this with Prime Minister Netanyahu, he replied that he always talks about things like that.

The quote is not verbatim because 1) I don’t have perfect memory; 2) there is a lot of background noise in the video.

What is very clear from the video is that Trump is being deceitful (to Jews, Arabs, or both – we don’t know this YET).

You think that getting more votes justifies being deceitful, I think that the end doesn’t justify the means.

there is only one question which bears consideration at this moment: who would be more likely to betray Israel in her hour of existential need, Trump or Kamala?

    The ANSWER IS: BOTH!!!

Jews must quit sticking their heads in the sand up to their butts like they did in Germany and Poland last time, we got to face REALITY!

We have only ONE country and it is NOT the US, or Germany, or France, etc., etc.

There are only two questions which bear consideration at this moment: (HINT: the two answers are not the same)

    1) who is easier to deceive (based on their at least 2,000 year long history of denial and acquiescence) – and – with impunity?

    2) who is very dangerous to spite and who you CANNOT deceive with impunity?

Your reasoning, and the reasoning of the American and Israeli Jews is the same ghetto reasoning that has prevailed throughout the Jewish history, only now we have to get it though our heads that we are not in a ghetto anymore.

  5. @Reader

Israelis and other Jews should stick to their own (Jewish) politics and solve their own (Jewish) problems (which are quite numerous and difficult) and quit playing the role of the World Jewish Ghetto.

There is nothing good to be had from the US or Europe, or, likely, anybody else.

    All quite true.

    Trump has already “flipped”

You will have to explain this as true. Trump refused to endorse a TSS even when pressed in this video. He refused to support the Hamas narrative of a Gaza genocide when pressed in this video. And he refused to make any statement other than that there will be peace in the Middle East and that the war must come to an end, both of which he has stated several times before this.

While I am not supportive of Trump’s outreach to the Hamas supporting Dearborners, it is an important initiative to take votes away from your opponent in any way possible. Still, in what way is it that you perceive that this event demonstrates that Trump has ‘flipped’ as you claim above?

Do recall that despite your comment supporting Israel’s independence of the US assistance, which I entirely support, Israel is far from independent of such assistance at this time, and foregoing US support would at the moment come at a cost of many Israeli lives. So, regardless of any low opinions of Trump, or cynical conjectures that he will be unveiled to have ‘flipped’, there is only one question which bears consideration at this moment: who would be more likely to betray Israel in her hour of existential need, Trump or Kamala? The answer to this basic question seems painfully obvious to me, even if you or Laura might inexplicably have suspicions to the contrary.

  6. @Laura

But she’s admitting Trump can flip.

This claim of a Trump ‘flip’ is both silly and arbitrary, as such a claim could be made of any politician, and notably, many of the candidates which you and others preferred over Trump have made significant flips on major topics even during the recent Republican primary without raising such alarms as you cite here.

At least the GOP would push back against Harris, while if Trump stabs Israel in the back there will be no pushback.

Of course, only Nixon could go to China, but even when doing so, it fell to the same China Hawks, who would have opposed McGovern if it were he that had done so, to oppose Nixon for having done so. As I indicated in a response to you yesterday, policy debates must not be based on personalities. Rather, they must be based on policy distinctions. With this in mind, if the GOP were truly the friend of Israel which I take it to be, it would push back against anyone who stabbed Israel in the back regardless of party, such as is taking place even today in the Dem party with such loyal and steadfast allies as Torres and Federman.

The power of the president, however, is immense, and even the Congress has limited persuasion over the president. Consequently, the real pushback would necessarily come from Israel should it be necessary.

Do note that this entire line of conversation is entirely based on quite an arbitrary line of conjecture, distinctly colored by your dislike of Trump. Note further what I stated yesterday: Trump is and has been the greatest ally which Israel has ever known, bar none – and this is not up for debate, not based on conjecture, and not supportable of any speculation that he is poised to stab Israel in the back.

  8. Of course, Harris is a disaster. But she’s admitting Trump can flip. That’s not a comfort. In a way the unknown is more unnerving, and the Israelis will have their guard down with Trump. At least the GOP would push back against Harris, while if Trump stabs Israel in the back there will be no pushback.
