“Michel” (pronounced Meekhel) is a name for a “common” German sort of like “Patrick” for the Irish, or “average Joe” for Americans.
Here is an antiwar song where “Michel” is asked what else does he want when he has all these weapons, etc.

There is NOTHING more conservative than these militias.
Nazism was also a conservative movement “for the people and the country against the oppressors of the poor Michel”.
Unquestionably, the government will try to co-opt them in some way but what kind of government? and will it work? and might it backfire?
It is very sad that the Jews are even more in denial than they were 90 year ago.
I think this is probably accurate as factual reporting. It is hard to say whether incresed militia membership is a good or bad development is difficult to say. Probably it will simply serve as an excuse for the Federal government and blue-stae State governments a to crack down on conservatives. Certainly the participation of members of these militia groups in the January 6 protests have been used to justify repressive measures against many members of these groups, as well as many demonstrators who had no connection with these groups.
This sounds very romantic and freedom loving, however, when things fall apart (and they will), these freedom lovers may easily turn into an American version of the SA.
Needless to say, they (or a few among them) will then know for sure who caused all the problems in the US (you-know-who, as usual).
BTW, the Occupy Wall Street movement was financed by the “libertarian” Koch brothers.
Maybe the brothers are now financing the militias. Who knows?
