Why Israel isn’t Winning the War

Moral relativism and “purity of arms are not the way to combat Islamic taqiyya and were not the way Nazi Germany was defeated. The West once knew that.

Prof Paul Eidelberg, INN

Israel’s political and military elites are not ruthless enough, hence not wise enough, to win the war against Israel’s most ruthless Arab enemies. I say “not ruthless enough” because Israel’s Arab enemies are animated by such hatred of Jews that they use their own children as human bombs to kill Jewish “infidels.”

I say Israel’s political and military elites are “not wise enough” because they do not heed what King David said in Psalm 139 of what Israel must do against her enemies—who are also the enemies of God—“crush them so that they are not able to rise.”

Israel is confronted not only by a 1,400 year-old culture whose children are weaned on hatred of Jews, but the leaders of this culture have perfected an evil art of deception called taqiyya—an art that has dumbfounded Israeli leaders and the naive media of the liberal democratic world, a world that prides itself on candor.

So let’s be candid. Americans, having suffered great human and material losses in the Second World War, have since then sought to win wars on the cheap: minimal deployment of ground forces and maximum use of air power—where the later was manifested as “gradual escalation” in Vietnam and “shock and awe” in Iraq. The consequences? Protracted war, hence, for Americans and enemies alike, protracted bloodshed.

Even worse can be said of Israel, with its pious “purity of arms doctrine,” a doctrine pursued by weak Israeli prime ministers who like to wage war by means of “targeted assassinations,” one-sided cease fires, and futile negotiations. And this is not all.

In Israel, as well as in America, the media foster puerile pacifism and national self-loathing. The mandarins of the media are dominated by soft-headed Leftists whose mentality has been shaped by academia’s emasculating doctrine of moral relativism. This doctrine, which extinguishes moral outrage, is symptomatic of the end stage of democracy. Its academic poltroons, one may guess, have not had their wives or daughters raped or strangled.

Of course, it’s not easy to wage war or raise the manpower to win a war when the mentors of a nation are milk-and-toast liberals or bleeding heart humanists. Alas, this pretty much describes those elected nowadays to democracy’s highest offices. It was not always this way. Sober men take war seriously: they are not won on the cheap—not by bourgeois economists, not by “conflict resolution theorists,” and not by academic “game theorists.”

Let’s consider the war against Nazi Germany—although we ought to bear in mind that the Nazis, unlike Muslims, did not use their children as human bombs to kill non-Aryans. America is blissfully ignorant about the pernicious theological nature of its current enemy. But it knew enough about the evil nature of its enemy back in World War II—enough to take it seriously. Ponder Mark Helprin’s report in the Claremont Review of Books (Fall 2011):

On the day of Germany’s surrender, General Eisenhower had 3 million Americans under his command—61 divisions, battle hardened. And then there were the Russians, who poured 2.5 million troops in the Berlin sector alone. Almost 10 million soldiers had converged on a demoralized German population of 70 million that had suffered 4 million dead and ten million wounded, captured and missing. No sympathizers existed across friendly borders. The cities had been razed. Germany had been broken, but even after this was clear, more than 700,000 occupation troops remained, with millions close by. The situation in Japan was much the same….

Helprin goes on to say:

“To succeed, a paradigm of ‘invade, reconstruct, and transform’ requires the decisive defeat, disarmament, and political isolation of the enemy; the demoralization of its population; the destruction of its political ethos; and the presence, at the end of hostilities, of overwhelming force.”

Bear in mind that this is a paradigm. As Helprin indicates, this paradigm was grievously ignored by the United States in Iraq—and the cost is not over.

What about Israel? Israel had no war strategy before the Six-Day War of 1967. Its political echelon was so shocked by the IDF’s stunning victory that it didn’t know what to do with the land Israel repossessed in that war.

What about Israel’s “Operation Cast Lead” against Hamas in Gaza? Again, no serious war strategy—to utterly crush the enemy—hence no post-war strategy—to repossess Gaza and purge Gaza of its Islamo-Nazi rulers. As for Judea and Samaria—the only concern of .

But don’t get me wrong. It’s obvious that Israel cannot field armies and occupy extensive territory as can the United States. But much of Helprin’s paradigm applies to Gaza as well as Judea and Samaria. Only lacking in Israel are the necessary leaders.

  1. Great analysis there Nina!

It is a disease on the part of US Imperialist apologists. They are liars. They lie to themselves and they lie to the world and you end up not knowing which comes first and which comes last.

In fact as we will see later these lies are mirrored in the lies on the so called “left” in the world today, who are taught to be so full of “hatred” for Israel that they cannot see what is in front of their noses either.

Let us take the imperialist stooges and apologists first before moving on to the so called “left” of today, who I see represented by people like F.William Engdahl
Consider just this one paragraph here by a profound liar of the Imperialists, picked up and supported by the blind bourgeois Zionist leaders like the hapless Paul Eidelberg.

“To succeed, a paradigm of “invade, reconstruct, and transform,” requires the decisive defeat, disarmament, and political isolation of the enemy; the demoralization of its population; the destruction of its political ethos; and the presence, at the end of hostilities, of overwhelming force. In Iraq and Afghanistan none of these conditions was fulfilled, the opposite impression flowing mainly from our contacts predominantly with an expressive, Western-educated elite, and from our failure to understand that despite the universal human desire for freedom, equity, safety, honor, and prosperity, the operational definitions of each of these objectives can vary so much as to render the quality of universality meaningless.”

(Mark Helprin, The Central Proposition http://www.claremont.org/publications/crb/id.1873/article_detail.asp)

Note the electrifying title of Helprin. And do not get submerged either by the learned sounding verbiage…the latter part of the above paragraph is truly gibberish, so I advise enter into the full article at your peril.

But basically, strip away the verbiage of Helprin and you are left with the very uncomfortable fact. Helprin is hiding a main truth of the world today and that truth is that the forces of international capitalism is in a close Alliance with the forces of Islam, Islam in its purest Jihadist form, the Muslim Brotherhood.

    So Helprin refers to Afghanistan.

But the forces of the US and NATO went to war in Afghanistan in order to carry water for the Islamic Jihad.

Have you heard about the Afghan Jihad schoolbook scandal?
Or perhaps I should say, “Have you heard about the Afghan Jihad schoolbook scandal that’s waiting to happen?”

Because it has been almost unreported in the Western media that the US government shipped, and continues to ship, millions of Islamist (or Islamic fundamentalist) textbooks into Afghanistan.

Only one English-speaking newspaper we could find has investigated this issue: the Washington Post. The story appeared March 23rd. [1]

Washington Post investigators report that during the past twenty years the US has spent millions of dollars producing fanatical schoolbooks, which were then distributed in Afghanistan.

“The primers, which were filled with talk of jihad and featured drawings of guns, bullets, soldiers and mines, have served since then [i.e., since the violent destruction of the Afghan secular government in the early 1990s] as the Afghan school system’s core curriculum. Even the Taliban used the American-produced books…”
    — Washington Post, 23 March 2002
    See footnote [1]

According to the Post the U.S. is now “…wrestling with the unintended consequences of its successful strategy of stirring Islamic fervor to fight communism.”
So the books made up the core curriculum in Afghan schools. And what were the unintended consequences? The Post reports that according to unnamed officials the schoolbooks “steeped a generation in [Islamist] violence.”

The Alliance with Islam in Afghanistan was ON from the very first moment.

Move on to Iraq, Helprin’s other main point above. The fact is that Israel was opposed to Bush making war on Iraq because the Israeli leaders KNEW that removing the dictator Saddam would open the door for Shia dictatorship, which would open the door to the fellow Shia Fascists in bordering Iran, thus providing an unbroken corridor and new border with Israel from Iran through Iraq to Israel.

Sharon and others (not Netanyahu) opposed the war on Iraq for these obvious reasons. The problem is that they opposed it diplomatically, quietly, and did not shout this obvious fact out to the world at large.

Moreover the spokesmen for the war on Saddam on our world television screens were largely JEWS, people like Richard Perle were literally never off our television screens in those fateful months.

In that way another key objective of the US Empire was being fulfilled, how handy was that!, in that the JEWS were being presented to the world as the originators of this disastrous war.

Helprin with his “Central proposition!!!” fits right in there, does he not?

Helprin does not tellt he truth on this Alliance. the so called “Left” does not tell the truth!

It is a disease, this (so called) left world outlook, to them everything is inverted and the world is truly upside down. So Iran is not a problem for Israel even though it has nonstop been calling Israel a cancer, for years now, and there is just the possibility to put it at its very weakest that they prepare nuclear bombs. Place the two together, their language and the possibility and that should make any left person think…danger

Take a good researcher like William F Engdahl and you have some terrific research concerning the US Empire, even referring to the valuable concept “creative destruction” in his first paragraph, but read further and he views the world almost upside down also.

Move down to paragraph 5 and he is claiming that Mubarak represented a major obstacle to the US in the region.

The blindness of Engdahl on this score is massive. The reason that Mubarak (as well as Gadhafi, Baghbo, Ben Ali) had to be defeated by the US Empire was and is precisely the opposite to what Engdahl claims.

Engdahl says that Mubarak was opposed to the US policy towards Iran, and by this Engdahl means that Mubarak was on the side of Iran and was opposed to the position of Israel, who feared Iran with a deep fear.

It was entirely the opposite Engdahl! What a nasty bloody liar you are! Or is it the blindness of the so called left on this issue of Israel! I dunno! The latter I think because he is a good researcher.

Mubarak was also, like Israel, petrified by Iran.

    So was Gadhafi!
    So was Ben Ali!
So are the Algerians and so are almost all of the Arab Governments and leaders because all of these leaders are petrified of the Muslim Brotherhood and the power of warlike Islam across their borders.

And Engdahl has precisely, spectacularly missed out on the real reason and rationale behind the US NEW policy under Obama and Clinton (but in truth it was there in more disguised form under all previous Presidents, and I mean all including Reagan)
And what is this reason that Engdahl so spectacularly misses.
The reason must be writ in large letters in the minds of all true socialists and progressive people in the world today.

The forces of Imperialism have joined with the forces of Islam as represented by the Muslim Brotherhood, and it is working very well indeed, as seen in the victory some 68 per cent and counting of the Muslim Brotherhood in the pivotal Arab country…Egypt.
They keep this alliance, a grand alliance, hidden and they do have to keep it well under wraps, but it is obvious and it is there for all to see.

Note that this is quite different from say the alliance of Bush with Saudis. This is an alliance not with the Wahhabis but with the far more dangerous and extensive Muslim Brotherhood. This is essentially Obama and Clinton in action, an extension more than anything else of the alliance between Bill Clinton and Izetbegovic, which was in the final analysis an alliance between Bill Clinton and an active member of the Muslim Brotherhood, in league with the Nazis, in the Holocaust of the Jews, Romany and Serbs in the Balkans in the years from 1939 to 1945.

  2. All I can say is that the world is in a total mess, and it will not get any better until Jesus Christ returns. Then, all the world will see Him, but for many, it will be too late. My heart aches when I hear and read about all the wars, and rumors of war. And all I can say is, “Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.”

  3. “[Israel] is in an appeasement mode. Not a fighting mode.”

Just the thing to tempt the enemy to increase his audacity.

    Obviously israel hasn’t “bled” enough.

At some point, the enemy will overplay his hand, and Israel will see Red.

Don’t know how much blood & tears it will take till that point, however.

And it’s more than a little scary trying to contemplate it.

  4. Martin Sherman came to my place last night with other luminaries for an evening of discussion.

He advised the group that Israel doesn’t want to win otherwise, he said, Israel would approve considerably more money in the budget for Hasbara and go on the offensive. This it refuses to do. Its like Israel has thrown in the towel. It is in an appeasement mode. Not a fighting mode.

Others in attendance included Arlene Kushner, a noted researcher and journalist, Jeff Daube, who reported on his lobbying with members of Congress and Senate on behalf of the ZOA, Mordechai Nisan, who talked about his book Only Israel West of the River, which I highly recommend and Jan Sokolovsky who is a member of both the Israeli bar and the US bar. She is working with NGO Monitor on drafting better legislation based on the US model to stop EU money from interfering with out government policies. Adam Levich who runs CIF Watch was also in attendance. Mordechai ben Menachem who was just interviewed by Tamar Jonah at Arutz Sheva Radio on his recently published books was there. Finally, Robert Kaplan who is in the final stages of Publishing the Soros Connection; Germany’s Third Attempt to Conquer the World and Elihud Richter who has been working with Irwin Kotler to get Ahmadinijad indicted for incitement to genocide and is working to build opposition to incitement world wide as a danger to health were in attendance..

  5. Israel must cater to the low self-esteem & machismo of a lunatic enemy that revels in hate, ignorance and woman abuse. The secular permissionists will continue to sacrifice Israel’s self-determination, or lack thereof, to the very globalists who now think it was a mistake to recognize Israel at all; continue pandering to a rotten culture/religion that sees kindness as weakness.

The west is foolish if they think they can reprogram a people so thoroughly indoctrinated for centuries by such a foul ideology.

  6. The west will not allow Israel a complete victory,so as not to humiliate the arabs. To quaote Kissinger,”Let Israel bleed a little” (so as to give the arabs some pride). Does the phrase “disproportionate response” sound familiar?
