Felix and Edgar, I am still confused why Israel is important to you since neither of you believe in God / YHVH / Hashem / Adonai. I have read and or heard almost all the arguments put forth as to why the Bible isn’t so! Edgar, How can I be a narcissist – I’m a nobody, I live in a rural area, I spend my days studying Torah, talking to God, tending my sheep and working the land, Hashem has blessed me with. When I die, they will have to hire 6 people to plant me. I’m OK with that.
Now Edgar that comment about the Prophets using drugs to talk to
God is a good ideal. I’m might have to try that. The kicker will be if God, starts talking back to me. Cause for the last 60 years I have not heard his audible voice.
The torah is written on different levels in the language of man. Pshat, remez. drash, sod. It takes time / years to study and move from level to level. If you read sod and try to force it on Pshat it does not work. IF you do the opposite, your understanding will be distorted. And after a lifetime of reading the book that the Jews / Israeli’s gave the world, I realize I know nothing and most likely I knew the most when I was 16 ears old. I hope you get that remark and maybe resemble it somewhat.
Now to Israel, Without GOD / TORAH Israel (all 12-13 tribes) do not have a reason nor right to exist. Israel should have visited the dust ben of History years ago, like so many other nations and groups of people. I stand with Hashem and the torah even when, I do not understand it. But, the other option is to let the nations that surround Israel try to exterminate them. Because its a DOG eat DOG world let the DOGs loose on Israel and see if they Have a God that will fight for them.
Torah tells us they do have, and he will defend them. But, here is the rub. As long as there are JEWs / Israelites in this world that refuse to fear and honor God. That refuse to keep the torah as best as they can then they stand with Hamas against God and As Amalek their HAND is against the throne. Get ready – there will be bloodshed. DEATH and DESTRUCTION. One of the central teachings of the torah is that GOD+TORAH +ISRAEL = ONE. the separation of the sheep and goats is taking place all around the world – choose today whom you will serve, Israel or Hamas!
Moshe said, the people of Israel would come to serve Hashem and the nations would come to recognize the God of Israel. This war is not the last one, they will continue until Israel obeys the Torah.
Deut 30:10 and following.
10 when you obey the LORD your God by observing his commandments and decrees that are written in this book of the law, because you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
11 Surely, this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too hard for you, nor is it too far away.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who will go up to heaven for us, and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?”
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will cross to the other side of the sea for us, and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?”
14 No, the word is very near to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart for you to observe.
15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity.
16 If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the LORD your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
17 But if your heart turns away and you do not hear, but are led astray to bow down to other gods and serve them,
18 I declare to you today that you shall perish; you shall not live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live,
20 loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and holding fast to him; for that means life to you and length of days, so that you may live in the land that the LORD swore to give to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Boys, you had better get started – your time is running out. Hashem
is saying to each of us. You can come to me the hard way or the easy way…… but you’re coming. choose this day, LIFE.
New Revised Standard Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1989), Dt 30:9–20.
Edgar,
I think you must have used Dominion voting machines to arrive at your counts. The numbers I came up with were the “papyrus” version, hand-recorded.
Felix,
I consider an insult from you to be a badge of honor.
I am still considering this episode
Victor has a good sense of most Americans supporting Israel
Caroline sees the dangers from the PA
That is as far as either could get to.
So where does that get to?
I have a strong feeling for returning Gaza to nature and an intellectual centre joining land and water as our basic future
This would have implications

I’ve ben meaning to ask you if there is any movement yet on Aliyah?
In fact for quite a while I saw no posts from you and thought perhaps you were on your way. I just now realised that I made a silly comment . You could be posting from Israel.
@Sebastien Zorn
Why don’t you post a fun video as an answer, as you usually do, instead of uh huhing.
Because Netanyahu is a coward, He breathes fire and brimstone, but won’t do anything without the permission of the State Department and Biden. And they haven’t given him permission. His latest act of cowardice was to cancel an order given by one of the ministers to close Al Jazeera’s Israel office, because of its incitement of violence by the Arabs. What could possibly make Netanyahu want to keep Al Jazeera’s Israel office open? Again, maybe State Department orders.
But why would Israel have allowed Al Jazeera to have an operate in Israel in the first place? Everyone knows that they are the mouthpiece of the Muslim Brotherhood, and thus no friend of Israel and an ally of Hamas. They have been nothing but trouble for Israel in every possible way. They keep positioning their reporters in the line of fire, where they risk being shot, and them alleging that Israeli soldiers deliberately shot them. This inflames MUslim opinion against Israel throughout the world, and prompts the State Department to blame Israel and harshly criticize the IDF.
We have at some point to acknowledge to ourselves that Israel has lacked competent and even patriotic leadership for years. Half of their ruling elites are outright traitors, and the rest and fools and sycophants. We have to look elsewhere to find a nucleus of Jewish lofe to carry us through this century and beyond.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that only a portion of the Ivrim left Egypt with Moses leading them, that many stayed behind.
If my recollection is correct, then the Ivrim in Egypt before the Exodus must have outnumbered the Egyptians even more.
According to agronomists who have studied that period ,and the archaeological remains of granaries and towns etc. the cultivated land could not possibly have supported 3 mill slaves and 1.5-7 mill Egyptians.
And I totally forgot the story of the spies who were afraid because the Ivrim would be so outnumbered by any of the 7 Canaanite kingdoms
Plus the “story” of G-D saying that he chose the smallest (in numbers) People.. So 3 mill is pure nonsense, and 3000 is most likely…if it ever actually happened, because it is following the story of creation, really in the realm of Mythdom.
Just recalled that the spies that Moses sent into Canaan were there for “40 days” ..coincidence..eh??

The Holy Name was spoken a SINGLE time ONLY each year by the High Priest who entered the Holy of Holies on Yom Kipur.
I suggest that “partly right” is not exactly correct. You are a convinced Bible Believer, even the most impossible parts which are KNOWN to be myths copied from earlier civilisations who had their own myths copied from earlier times.
As for your comment on Felix, I can say no more than that he is absolutely correct and you are wrong. He wants to stick to the ongoing subject whereas you want to ramble abroad into Torah times about which you know absolutely nothing but what you’ve read there.
Much has been shown ti be correct by archaeological discoveries, but also much has been either disproven or not proven to be correct.
We must not forget that The Torah was not written as the events unfolded but many years after, and that much had been either misunderstood or meanings lost.
For instance, there are about 3 lists of High Priests descending from Zadok, all at certain points differing from one another. This has been Historically proven, and is because of the very turbulent times that we all seem to forget, that Israel, throughout it’s whole history, was just another small kingdom, subject to invasions by outside forces, with resulting chaos for series of years and may records were destroyed or lost. Then during peace, were concocted to try to create some continuity.
There is controversy who cam first Ezra or Nehemiah.
The mention of the Tetragrammaton in later historical years is of no consequence as by then it had lost it’s mystical power.. History progresses you know. And from Saul downwards it is purely history interspersed with a series of “miracles” and “prophesies”, undoubtedly written after the facts, or whilst the occasions were in progress.
The classic example is Hezkiyahu;s prophecy “that young woman is pregnant and will bear a son” etc etc.
He was a cousin or uncle of the king and was the major court advisor. So this MUST have been in Jerusalem, and the “young woman” MUST have been the king’s wife. The beginning of the next chapter proves this.
And this is the kind of logical continuity that I follow.
It is well attested to by experts that “prophets” took drugs, especially the later ones, and that many were mentally unsound. But invoking G-D gave them a special “aura” so that they could babble nonsense which we’re(not me) still waiting for to happen.

Uh huh. 😀
Michael-
As usual you let your religious fervour lead you on your vicariously wrong path. The story of Joseph (and his famous coat) may or may not be true, but certainly as described it seems not exactly so. Dreams about skinny cows eating fat cows, when cows are strictly herbivores.
Egyptian criminals who did as Joseph is reputed to have done, were not jailed but executed. and why should the Pharaoh-a god- believe a criminal in jail. How would a criminal ever get to even see the Pharaoh. never mind the story of the cup bearer is also too convenient. Hopping in and out of Jail, and restored as a cup bearer… Phooey….!!!
Joseph as the Messiah is pure bunkum and you should be ashamed to even hint at it. The Moshiach concept did nor arise for at least another 1000 or more years, and is just as ridiculous as the story of Joseph.
You are merely following the Revised Standard Version.,
And even a half-wit, which you are not, des not believe that the Ivrim who “went forth out of Egypt” numbered 600,000 MEN besides women ,children (likely 4-6 in a family) and other attached people, as well as millions of cattle , goats, asses, maybe camels etc.
Sinai was then BARREN, dotted with a few known (but not to the Ivrim) oases only.
The total people (about 4.5 mill) would have been about 3 times the Historically claimed number of Egyptians in their own land. So this is even more impossible. Also that so many were a generationally obedient race of slaves. And the “manna”……Must have had ALL the neccessary vitamins.
I wonder if the cattle also ate manna, because any herbiage would have been consumes the first month.
The MISTAKE in translation is caused by the ignorance of later translators who confused Elef and Aluf .
,
Elef means1000, the first letter being “Ayin”…”Aluf” means leader or head of family”, the first letter being “Aleph”. There were NO VOWELS for the next 1500 years. SO those translators who wished to portray a miracle, and were both ignorant and centuries removed chose the impossibility.
The “600.000” is really 600 “heads of a family”.
This would far more realistically cut down the REAL total to a lucid number of about 2-3,000. Which could be manageable, but barely.
You MUST know that the figure “40” had a long forgotten mystical appeal to very early Judaism and even BEFORE. The Flood “rained for 40 days and forty nights” ….The Sinai wandering “40 years”….. Moses was “40” when he led the People out of Egypt. Moses was on the mountain top “40 days and 40 nights.
David reigned for “40 Years”, and let’s not forget Solomon, who BY COINCIDENCE also reigned tor “40 years”.
If you believe any or all of this, I have some Florida sea front lots to sell you.
*****The Flood Myth is a copy of The Gilgamesh Story, which was arounf 24-2500 BCE*****
\
I sympathise with you -indeed I do. I know that many can be intelligent-like you- but crazy on one particular subject.
PS….It was “12 sons INCLUDING the Viceroy”…..
It’s only natural for me to correct errors, especially of that ancient time and Torah facts. That is, those that I believe to be true, as born out by archaeological discoveries, and also those logically likely.
You seem to have started a Christian club on Israpundit, all equally misled.
Ah, Edgar — it was you!
I should have known that if there was a distinction to be made, you would be the one making it. Yes, of course, you were right: Jacob had twelve sons, who sired 12 tribes. Then, in blessing Ephraim and Manasseh, he created a 13th — counting those two in place of Joseph. (Joseph, as of course you will deny, represented Messiah, who would rule as God’s Viceroy).
By the time of the Exodus, Israel numbered over 600,000 men of war among the 12 landed tribes, plus some 11,000 military age Levites (22,000 including the children). So to begin with, we had 12 sons plus the Viceroy; then we had 12 tribes plus the chosen, the Levites.
Then, as I read in the Forbidden Books, in Luke 22, Jesus teaches the 12 apostles (which included two Judahs)
[29] And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
[30] That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Of course, those twelve were reduced in number, when one of the Judahs killed himself. He was replaced by another in the Book of Revelation, leaving
1. Reuben 2. Simeon 3. Levi 4. Judah 5. Naphtali 6. Gad 7. Asher 8. Isaacher 9. Zebulun 10. Joseph (representing Ephraim) 11. Manasseh 12. Benjamin
The tribe of Dan represented Judas Iscariot, who “killed more of Israel’s enemies in his death, than in his life”. Of course, arrayed around God and the Lamb were 24 elders, not twelve; because, though the new twelve tribes were represented, the original twelve were not cast out.
An additional note: The year has about 365 days, which can be divided into twelve 29½ day months, plus some 11 extra days. The Hebrew lunisolar calendar accomodates the extra days by now and then inserting an intercallary month, Adar II, which I shall call the month “Peek-a-boo”, the month that appears, then disappears, then appears again — as in the parent-child game, “Peek-a-boo”. The purpose for this game, is to give the child confidence that even though the parent occasionally disappears, he will return. There is a doctrinal significance to this.
Felix, I agree with you on wanting Israel to take the war to Hamas and defeat it completely. That is why I quoted from your own people’s historic literature. If you will go back and read Deut 20, or if you do not own a bible then reread my post and you will see what I am advocating for. – The complete and unconditional surrender of Hamas to Israel, If not then the complete and unconditional death to ever male old enough to carry a rifle inside of Gaza. don’t kill the women and childern and dont kill the furit trees. DESTRUCTION to everything else.
Hamas is evil Felix, and evil must be eradicated. IF no one else is coming to save Israel, then Israel must stand up and save ourselves.
You are correct the “Historically we can very easily show that the concept of the Palestinians is an historical con job.” And I would add it is time the lie is exposed once and for all.
Felix, you are correct, “It is moreover historically arguable that the Jewish nation WOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED without their Judaism.”
But let’s think a step or two further, Judaism is a religion that was at it’s very base / core was given to the people of Israel by their creator God, Father. It has been that father, creator that has sustain the Jewish people for the last 4, 000 years and will continue to protect them. But Israel as a nation has to start doing what their Father creator wants them to do. Only then will things go well with them, and they will be blessed – beyond measure.
Edgar,
You said, -The pseudo-acronym you used is strictly forbidden to Jews, assuming you are a Jew. It is the HOLY NAME. I say, – That is partly correct, it is forbidden because the Rabbi’s ruled once upon a time that it was wrong to say it out loud. The Torah never says it is wrong to say it only to used it in vain. But I accept, the Rabbis, ruling. I don’t say it out loud, i only used the letters – sometimes but not always, you know like A- B- C- D.
You Say: -It is not mentioned in the Torah, the Chumash. The Five Books. It is these Five Books which are the founding basis for the Land of Israel, and the Jewish People-originally “Ivrim”.. The rest of the Torah is principally the history of the 12 Tribes (actually 13) in the Land….. I say, – you are partly correct, The 5 books of Torah are the bases of everything else and yes, the other books of Tanak are the history of Israel and the ten tribes. BUT HERE, is where your greatly mistaken. The four letters of the Tetragramaton or known as the Y -H – V -H, the name of God is written in the Tanak and Torah over some 7,000 times. The reason you do not see it when you read the Torah or your prayer books is because you and the Jewish people have been condition and trained to read it as YHVH in your mind and speak it out loud as Adonai.
You said: – Why should it mean anything to a follower of Trotsky who may be an atheist? I see that he’s said so already and repudiated your lengthy Torah excerpts. . He’s right It has nothing to do with Israel’s present predicament, except that if there were NO Torah there would have been NO Jews and no Israel. — I say, Felix is old enough to have learned better. If he wants to be ignorant, then let him be ignorant. But, in my mind why would an atheist care anything about the people of Israel, a people that are referred to as “Gods Son” – that is just stupid, to believe and care about a people that exist, but not believe in the God that created them and brought them into that existence.
You say: – And, why are you sounding so offended, and acting as if it has “made your case”.. whatever it may be?? — I say, I’m not offended Edgar. I just don’t like being called out by an atheist, who doesn’t believe in God. You think I’m screwy—- what is really screwy is somebody who doesn’t believe in God telling me to not quote form the bible that was given to mankind by a God that Felix doesn’t believe in. WOW. – IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH TORAH.
Michael you claim
Let’s have a look
Putin in defending his borders aka country against NATO is the good. The Ukraine by making itself the proxy for massive powers and NATO is the evil.
The war by Putin is the good.
You Michael are the evil for siding with the Evil.
It takes more than a couple of biblical quotations to remove that evil.
In the course of that you removed the responsibility from Ukraine for the Holocaust.
In the course of doing that you removed from young people in Israel an awareness of the Holocaust aka Hamas Fascism.
Which would have saved them.
Michael to me you do not have a good look!
You have a very bad look even as it dresses up in loquaciousness.
Tanna I want Israel to take the war to Hamas and to defeat it completely. Like they did to Eichmann I am for revenge against Hamas and what they did on October 7. Israel and its supporters is the good. Hamas is the evil. Going forward we need Israel. We do not need in any way Hamas.
Historically we can very easily show that the concept of the Palestinians is an historical con job.
It is moreover historically arguable that the Jewish nation WOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED without their Judaism.
Edgar, your attacks on Tanna seem screwy, very convoluted and remarkably illogical.
@Reader
I am well familiar with the Daily Mail. Like all news today, it shills fake news as well as fair facts, so it is incumbent upon us each to tease the truth from the tall tales by doing our own research. In any event, are you suggesting that Soros is not pro-Hamas? If so what is it that draws you to this conclusion? It is one thing to recognize that Fake News is a real thing, but quite something else to suggest that Soros is not funding movements for which he himself advocates.
Also, the money Soros spends is intended not to directly control the world but to buy influence to support the policy changes for which he advocates, such as de-policization and open borders. His politicians are changing the face of the world in which we all live, making the world a much more dangerous place to live. This is why his NGO’s were thrown out of Hungary, and unfortunately for the Ukrainians they were not thrown out of Ukraine, but rather became a powerful source within Ukraine’s power structure. Likewise, his efforts to overturn law and order in the US is in no small part associated with the illegal actions being pursued by Soros funded politicians to turn the streets of the US iinto a nation wide version of Gotham City, regretfully with all too much success.
In any event, I gave you two sources with specific details in each to indicate clearly enough that Soros has been funding these groups. This being said, you are a good researcher so, by all means, should you find that something which is reported in these publications is not factually accurate, do let us know. I have every expectation that you will be frustrated in your efforts to do so, but perhaps I am wrong.

The reason I was asking is because of the way Michael worded it:
This supports the fiction that Soros with his 9 billion $$$ allegedly rules the world or, at least, influences it in a major way and is the worst antisemite in the world while other, much more powerful players are perfectly neutral or even virtuous.
In other words, I have no sympathy for Soros as a human being, however, I object to him being used as a Jewish octopus.
BTW, Daily Mail is a British tabloid notorious for being unreliable in its reporting.
Felix, since the Torah means nothing to you. Then YHVH means nothing to you and since YHVH means nothing then Israel should mean nothing to you, because the only reason Israel exist is because YHVH wills it.
Sounds to me Mr. Felix you must be for HAMAS.

I am not sure why you are asking, but after a quick search here are but a couple of examples of Soros having supported BLM and pro-Hamas groups:
REVEALED: George Soros has plowed $3M of ‘dark money’ into BLM activists pushing to defund the police
Why Did George Soros Fund a Radical Pro-Hamas Group?
Again, these were found quite quickly, so there are likely more and varied reports beyond these to substantiate Soros’ financial support of these type of groups.
@Michael S.
Where does it say that Soros funds BLM and other pro-Hamas groups?
I found this and it does not mention BLM:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_projects_supported_by_George_Soros
Which ones of the above groups are pro-Hamas?
Each of the comments below make great points. From the moment I heard of the attack I was sick of heart. Now 3 weeks later I’m sick of Israeli leadership! However, I do understand there is much I do not understand and see. There is much going on behind the scenes, that we the people might not learn for 50 years or maybe, we never learn the details.
I agree on the hostages, they are a pawn. They will be released if it favors Hamas. If it does not, they will die. Ted, I agree it makes no sense to trade 2 or 3 Jewish lives for the live of a hostage. But, to Michael’s point, the unrelenting pressure is what will work. Hammer, Gaza for months or years, till slowly they surrender.
The media loose interest, and Israel cut’s Gaza supplies off, leave the people a way to escape and let IDF hammer away and when they are done, NO MORE HAMAS. People are of short attention span. They want the whole show over in under 2 hours. But maybe IDF should besiege Gaza, till the Gazan people bring Hamas out while waving a white flag. NO crease fires or peace agreement, total capitulation to Israel.
The government of Israel has to arm the citizens of Israel if not all, at least those living outside of the secure areas. Rifle and 500 rounds to every law-abiding citizen and household. Too stop or minimize the next massacre. IF not the IDF, must stay on full alert 24/7 so they can protect the citizens of Israel. A gun fight only last for minutes, help (police, military) does not show up for hours or days. There good at picking up dead bodies!
Deut. 10 When you draw near to a town to fight against it, offer it terms of peace.
11 If it accepts your terms of peace and surrenders to you, then all the people in it shall serve you at forced labor.
12 If it does not submit to you peacefully, but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it;
13 and when the LORD your God gives it into your hand, you shall put all its males to the sword.
14 You may, however, take as your booty the women, the children, livestock, and everything else in the town, all its spoil. You may enjoy the spoil of your enemies, which the LORD your God has given you.
15 Thus you shall treat all the towns that are very far from you, which are not towns of the nations here.
16 But as for the towns of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, you must not let anything that breathes remain alive.
17 You shall annihilate them—the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites—just as the LORD your God has commanded,
18 so that they may not teach you to do all the abhorrent things that they do for their gods, and you thus sin against the LORD your God.
19 If you besiege a town for a long time, making war against it in order to take it, you must not destroy its trees by wielding an ax against them. Although you may take food from them, you must not cut them down. Are trees in the field human beings that they should come under siege from you?
20 You may destroy only the trees that you know do not produce food; you may cut them down for use in building siegeworks against the town that makes war with you, until it falls.
The Holy Bible: New Revised Standard Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1989), Dt 20:10–20.
Raphael,
I agree with you. I haven’t read the latest press on the matter; but as far as I know, Israel has been continuing its pressure on Hamas. (If this weren’t so, they would not have been releasing hostages).
Soros and friends, who have been funding BLM and other pro-Hamas groups, were, the last I checked, continuing their anti-Israel demonstrations and other promotions, while all the while, the vast majority of people in the world seem to support Israel. Even the Russian people initially supported Israel,
(cf. https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2023/10/20/russian-propagandists-are-dancing-on-the-bones-of-israel-hamas-victims-a82840)
The best course of action for Israel, is probably to continue decimating Hamas’ infrastructure with airstrikes, while advancing on the ground only in such a way that is safe for the IDF and civilians. With the Crazy Left already shouting at max. volume, there is no reason for Israel to be daunted by them.
There is a lot happening in the world today, and the MSM cannot sustain the steady diet of BS it has been dishing out. Sooner than later, people will lose interest in the war in Israel, and remember things like fuel prices, Bidenflation, the fentanyl crisis, the collapse of the economy, flight from crime-blighted cities, etc. With steady pressure on Hamas, sooner or later they will realize that every day they hold hostages is a day they will get pummeled.
Those who are restraining Israel from attacking Gaza have only one goal in mind: the survival of Hamas. Hamas is a useful political pawn in the game of Middle east “diplomacy”, not to mention that those who want Hamas to survive, (including the US), don’t mind seeing Jews suffer and die. This is why Israel must, repeat must, follow its own course.
Hello, Ted. You said,
My sentiments are similar, but they are only sentiments. It is because of what you said, that I recommended Israel use tactics similar to what Ukraine has been using in its latest offensive — resisting outside pressure to attempt “speedy victories”, in favor of sometimes agonizingly slow advances while minimizing losses of men and materiel.
The slowness of this process can help Israel in several ways: First of all, it minimizes Israeli losses; secondly, it thwarts the MSM and other agitators, by taking the wind out of their sails; and thirdly, it gives saner heads a chance to try a workable solution. It also gives civilians plenty of time to evacuate combat zones.
As I said to Reader below, I recommend noting MacGreggor’s comments on the matter, whether one agrees with him or not.
Hi, Reader.
If you agree with Marx’s main underpinning doctrines, which, apparently, you do, you can justifiably call yourself, and be called, a “Marxist.” I intend no slur in that.
This is the third place tonight, that I am forwarding this interview of Col. Douglas MacGreggor (ret.) by Tucker Carlson:
https://twitter.com/TuckerCarlson/status/1716574971206500570
When MacGreggor was prematurely declaring Ukraine to be destroyed, and Russia victorious, I spoke against this; because it was hyperbole. Outside of that, I must conclude that his observations are deadly accurate; and he sums them up very well: We are headed towards Armageddon in the Middle East; and one event along the way will probably be Turkey attacking Israel!
I seriously doubt that MacGreggor got his views from the Bible, though they line up exactly with the scriptures. One place where he seems to DEPART from the Bible, is in recommending that Israel pull back from its plan to utterly destroy Gaza. In his opinion, the current course of action by Israel will lead to Israel’s own destruction.
All the best 🙂
There is no way we can save the hostages short of letting Hamas survive. This we cannot do. The deaths of the 1400 cry out for revenge. The more we try to save the hostages, the more soldiers will be killed. I do not favour the lives of the hostages over the lives of the soldiers. They are all Jews. So our calculus must be how to destroy Hamas with the least Jewish deaths.
On the otherhand, can israel capitulate to Hamas to save the hostages? Once released, Israel can reneg on the deal and kill the bastards. Sounds great but I don’t believe Hamas would be so stupid as to agree.
@Sebastien Zorn
I am neither a leftist nor a Marxist (I don’t know in what terms Felix happens to think of himself), however, I am also neither a rightist nor a (I have no idea which term is the opposite of Marxist – a McCarthyist?).
I think that it is wrong to use primitive labels to describe people in order to make it easier to judge them, their thoughts and actions, and to predict their behavior.
Marx created a model of how human societies develop, he realized that this development is uneven, and that each society’s development proceeds at its own pace and that it is impossible to jump over the stages of that development, and he was right – several countries tried and failed.
@FelixQuigley
It is because Left and Right is a false dichotomy which has been used by centuries by politicians in the US and Great Britain as a divide-and-rule technique which most citizens there absorb with their mothers’ milk, and they cannot think in other terms.
Was Sharon a “leftist”?
Was Begin a “leftist”?
Caroline Glick also happens to be a huge Netanyahu fan, and to her he can do no wrong in spite of all the facts she conveniently ignores (if she didn’t, she would have to say that her Bibi is also a “leftist”).
Here is the answer: I found this by accident before listening to the video (Aryeh Eldad – from 2014) – do not take it as a comment about the Ukrainian situation now:
In my opinion, the “international community” is viewing the war in Gaza as the perfect opportunity to:
1) destroy as many Jewish lives as possible by prolonging the war in Gaza and making it more difficult for the Jews and easier for Hamas;
2) make tons of money on the arms for both sides;
3) last but not least – handing over the Hamas-less Gaza to the PA (or another “moderate” Arab group) and creating the 2-piece Pal. state cutting Israel in two at the waist with either a road or a tunnel which they know will make Israel defenseless .
@Felix @Reader @Michael Ditto that.
Felix and Reader, thank you for supporting Israel.
Hi, Edgar. It’s a [sic] — I cut/pasted “brake”. Tell them about it.
I think you’re wrong: This war will be the worst, and maybe not the last.
Lots of “breaking” news — Glen Beck says Iran has a nuke already (I haven’t read the details), and Tucker C. says we are going to war with Iran — unconfirmed, so far, but think likely. In good news, it looks like Saudi is depending on S. Korea (not Iran):

Gottago now. Looks like this will be a busy night.
@Felix You and Reader are the only leftists, certainly the only Marxists I have ever heard of, and I live in Marxist country, who don’t support Hamas (with the recent limited exception of AOC, I was surprised to read). You are certainly the only ones who defend Israel. I used to be one, myself, as you know, and it’s why I left the left though I never changed my mind about reformist working class safety net bread and butter issues. I am also an anachronism, in that respect, it would seem.
MICHAEL-
I doubt this very much. Israel fought for it’s very existence in 1948 and 1973.
By the way, in the context you’re using it, it’s generally spelled “break”.
Of course American have their own very individual freedoms laid down by their Constitution to spell words any way they want to.
Trusting the Bho’s doctrine? A trap! The US has still not succeeded in eliminating Bibi.

…moving ahead, slow but sure…
Listening to Caroline talking about the “left” in Israel towards the end of her very educational talk I could see she was having extreme difficulty in how to understand and characterise this feature left and right. And yet Caroline did an excellent job at DESCRIBING EMPIRICALLY their political activity. Perhaps that’s the way, first empirical description, then come to a conclusion name wise. But terrific talk.
