Rockets fired from Gaza continued to fall on Israel early Friday morning as Iron Dome batteries intercepted one rocket over Israel’s south while two landed in open fields near Sderot.
The first rockets hit Israel on Friday following a Code Red siren around 5:00 AM.
No injuries or damages were reported in the latest rocket attacks after rocket-fire on Thursday damaged vehicles and homes in Sderot , including a building used as a daycare center. The infants and their caretaker were in a fortified shelter-room at the time of the attack and escaped injury.
That strike came after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had warned earlier on Thursday evening that if quiet in the region was not restored, the beefed-up IDF units amassed there will act “with power.”
Over 40 rockets and mortar shells have landed in southern Israel since early Thursday, including two direct hits on residential buildings in Sderot.
Rocket-fire and Israeli reprisals have continued throughout the week, bringing calls from some within Israel to carry out a large-scale operation in Gaza. On Thursday demonstrators gathered on the edge of and called for strong military action against Gaza.
Hamas warned Israel against launching such an offensive on Thursday, saying that Israel’s previous conflicts with the group would be “a picnic” compared to what would follow should the IDF begin a large operation in Gaza.
The IDF has initiated a limited deployment of forces toward the Gazan border in light of the increased rocket attacks.

I agree with your comment about the Israelis. Think about it. They have had to learn how to work ignoring everything else. If they didn’t with all the rockets the vermin keeps on sending Israel would be in the stone age. They accomplish a lot in spite of everything. G-d bless them.

I’m going to a shul where the rabbi is a young person from Argentina. Very funny, energetic and. full of life. The Torah classes are conducted by someone else. It is a very busy shul with lots of children, the elderly and everyone in between. They have a school on the premises and a summer camp. A swimming pool in the lower level and a bunch of kids to enjoy it. It is a very busy and happy place. He is in Israel right now. Left last week.

We complete the inside the home remodeling and are waiting for the relevant permits to build in the backyard an extra room and the BBQ area.

yamit82 you used to put some links with Jewish wisdom that I sent to my son in law. More than anything in the world I wish they would move to Israel. They have no debts except the mortgage. The house has increased in value very nicely and enough savings to last the rest of their lives. Two beautiful children with excellent minds and Israel waiting for them. I agree with yamit82. It is not the same to grow up here. Here is the opportunity to make lots of money; but in Israel you can breathe Judaism. You have your identity. We do not need more scholars in the family. honeybee, the 4th of July in NY is always celebrated with the most beautiful fireworks anywhere in the States. When I was younger we would get some tickets to one of the ships in the harbor with dinner, music and the best views of the fireworks in NY harbor with the Statue of Liberty as a background.
Always sponsored by Macy’s the Department Store in Midtown. I’ll deviate myself to mention something that many people do not know. There is an Italian American family whose name I can’t recall and every year they are in charge of producing the most beautiful spectacle. Their creativity is unequal.
There is also in Cannes a yearly competition for fireworks which the Italians from the continent always win. About twenty or twenty five years ago the Italian Americans whose family have been in the US for close to a hundred years or more, participated in the Cannes Festival and to the Italians dismay the Americans WON first price.
In between they had a fire in their warehouse in New Jersey where everything was destroyed but it does not matter. They always create new and more beautiful fireworks. This year for the first time it had the Brooklyn Bridge as a background and cascades of waterfalls in all colors showed as if coming from the side of the bridge. The best of all is the different bands of the US Military playing their marching music. Today we had the Air force, followed by the Navy, on to the Marines and finally the Army. The New York family who produces the fireworks are always in demand.
The day Israel is independent from all the world crap surrounding her. We are going to have the biggest fireworks the World has ever seen in Jerusalem. I have to think of something like that to get myself n a better mood that I have been. The Psalms help but it hurts to see how effective the propaganda from the musloids have been with the W H musloid in charge helping the EU and the international vermin against Israel.

No, we did not leave because we were waiting or a hurricane to hit NY directly today. I think it went towards the ocean and it missed us. 16-20 people is a lot. Do you have to cook for so many people or you have help? Make it buffet style and let everyone serve themselves. BBQ is a great idea. We are going in the next two days or so. I’ll let you know.
