Visions of jihad

The goal of jihad is to bring about the complete subjugation of the continent of Europe and of the West in general.

‘Jihad with mind, money and weapons’

During the closing weeks of June 2013, there was a meeting of seventy Muslim clerics at a Syrian solidarity conference in Cairo, wherein Sunni preachers called upon their fellow jihadists to “pursue all forms of jihad” against the Syrian government. At that stage in the Syrian civil war, Islamic State had not emerged as the new caliphate which would subsequently go on to conquer large tracts of both Syria and Iraq.

Extremist Egyptian preacher Yussef Qarradawi, based in Qatar, had earlier instructed all Sunni Muslims around the world to pour into Syria to fight a holy war against the government of Bashar al-Assad, together with the Syrian dictator’s Hezbollah allies and his political masters in Iran. Muslim scholars who were gathered from around the world to this conference in Cairo issued a fatwa, which was read out by the Egyptian radical cleric Mohammed Hassan: “Jihad is necessary for the victory of our brothers in Syria, jihad with mind, money, weapons, all forms of jihad.”

This Nuremburg-style rally of Islamic fundamentalists was attended by none other than Egypt’s then president Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, who condemned the Assad government and denounced the Shi’ite forces in Lebanon. Falling short of actually calling for jihad himself, his appearance at the conference was enough to legitimise participation by Egyptian citizens in what is fast turning into a full-scale civil war in the world of Islam.

This happened three years ago. Since then, Morsi has been removed from power, but Egypt is still involved in a tense stand-off between President al-Sisi and members of the now-illegal Muslim Brotherhood organisation.

Since then, we have seen the rise of Isis and the beginning of its downfall in Iraq and Syria. Isis, like the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda, however, are unlikely to go away, even after being banned in countries like Egypt. Terrorists do not die, they just move on after being defeated in one country and then go on to set up shop in new countries in order to continue their respective reigns of terror. Yasser Arafat was a classic example of the travelling terrorist who moved from country to country, from Egypt to Jordan to Lebanon and finally to Judea and Samaria in Israel, in order to continue his jihad against the West and the Jewish state.

Obama’s foreign policy failures

Almost as if following the orders of his own political masters in Saudi Arabia, the indecisive and awkward President Obama finally showed his true political colours in the summer of 2013 as the White House announced his decision to arm the Syrian revolutionaries and “restore US credibility by finally acting out our red line regarding chemical weapons use,” in the words of Michael Eisenstadt from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Obama armed the Sunni rebels in Syria, the same forces of Islamic jihad supported by the aforementioned imams in Cairo.

The timing of Obama’s own jihad against Assad could not have come at a more convenient time, just as the US president was heading off to Northern Ireland for the G8 Conference. Trying but failing to look dynamic in his much delayed reaction to Assad’s apparent use of chemical weapons, Obama tripped over his own red line and faced off with Russian president Putin over Syria. As usual in the case of meetings between the two presidents, Putin came out looking strong and decisive, whereas Obama sat there humming and hawing as his hair continued to turn greyer and greyer.

It was obvious to any political analyst that Obama was not reacting to Assad’s crossing of any red lines so much as he was desperately trying to keep apace with the Cairo jihadists, who are were setting the agenda for the direction of a full-scale Muslim civil war between the Sunni jihadists of the Arab world and the Shia jihadists under the influence of the mullocracy in Iran. Obama was complicit in the rise of Isis and the subsequent campaign of savage beheadings committed by the Islamic State.

American intervention in Syria has come too late to save secular government in Syria. Whoever wins the civil war in Syria, the people of Syria are doomed to live under the sword of one or the other of the two versions of Islamic fundamentalism. For the Syrian Alawite, Sunni, Jew or Christian, it will become a grim choice between a Sunni beheading or a Shia beheading. Once President Assad is gone the country will be controlled either by Iran’s terrorist-sponsored Hezbollah or the forces allied with Al Qaeda. The United States, in sponsoring the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamic groups, is fast losing control of the Middle East.

The prospect of direct war between Russia and America now restricts Obama’s room for political options and casts a dark shadow of potential nuclear war between the great powers. Harry Truman’s 1940s Middle Eastern politics dominated by secular Arab governments is gone – destroyed by Obama’s foreign policy.

The veil of jihad

Over thousands of miles along a snake-like line runs through the Muslim world. That line, which I call the ‘veil of jihad,’ is not a straight line. From Casablanca on the Atlantic Ocean in Morocco, it winds along the coastlines of the Mediterranean Sea to the Black Sea, before finally crossing by land until it reaches the eastern coasts of Calcutta on the Bay Of Bengal in faraway Asia. Much greater in distance than either the old Iron Curtain in Europe or the Bamboo Curtain in Asia, the veil of jihad divides the Muslim world from the world of Christendom.

The veil of jihad has existed for over a thousand years, several times being crossed by both Christians and Muslims in battles raging over the centuries. Christian crusaders at various times liberated Jerusalem and Muslims occupied Spain, parts of France, Greece, Italy, the Balkans and what today is modern Turkey. This conflict, the longest civilisational conflict in history, saw the forces of Islam defeated at the gates of Vienna on September 11 1683 and British armies win control of Jerusalem in December 1917.

To the south of the veil of jihad, the world of Islam dominates. To the north, the world of Christendom is starting to go into decline as more Europeans lose their faith in God and embrace the pseudo-religions of Marxism and humanism. Inside the veil of jihad, the formerly secular political regimes of the post-colonial world are falling like dominoes to the dark politics of Islamic fundamentalism, most recently in Egypt, Iraq and Libya. Syria is the latest domino. Russia saved Syria from the Islamic State, but the movement of Sunni jihadists into Libya has taken place specifically for the purposes of preparing a launching pad of jihad forces into Europe, in particular into Italy, where Rome remains the primary target of Isis. Already last year, hundreds of thousands of Muslim migrants went on boats from Libya to reach the shores of Italy and Greece. Since Angela Merkel’s massive importation of Muslim migrants into Europe last year, from Libya and Turkey, the forces of jihad have brought Islamist terrorism into Europe. Muslim terror attacks are now becoming a regular occurrence in the life of Europeans.

The goal of the jihadists is to bring about the complete subjugation of  the continent of Europe. We are now living in the age of the Muslim sleeper cell and the Muslim lone wolf jihadist, waiting for their chances to murder infidels in the heart of the infidel homelands. The infidel city of Paris is now a jihadist’s hunting ground for infidels. The seeds of the future possible destruction of the West are firmly planted in the ancient capitals of western Europe. If Muslim communities are not integrated fully within Western culture, they will continue to be foreign nations living within European nations, destroying Judeo-Christian civilisation from within.

Since the Charlie Hebdo massacre last year, Europe has exploded in Islamic terrorist incidents. Europeans run terrified down the streets of Nice, through shopping malls in Munich, and down the coaches of railway trains in Germany to get away from Muslim terrorists, armed with axes, guns, cars and bombs. Europeans run terrified while their governments no longer know how to defend their citizens from death at the hands of jihadists. Isis, al-Qaeda, and other Muslim terrorist groups, are laughing all the way to the mosque as infidels are murdered almost weekly on the streets of Europe. Merkel’s mass Muslim immigration program tipped the balance of power within Western cities in the favour of Islam. There is no place for Europeans to go. They simply watch in horror as their political representatives do nothing.

The Europeans who accept Islamisation are naively thinking they will not become future victims of jihad. Jihadists, however, will show no mercy. The left-wing European diversity types think the rise of multiculturalism will transcend the jihad. In fact, as multiculturalism undermines Western values, the rise of the European jihadists will only continue. Until we find ourselves in something akin to the Planet of the Apes. People will ask themselves, “How did my city turn into a concentration camp for infidels such as myself?”

Iran’s nuclear nirvana

Deep inside the veil of jihad is Iran, the first Islamic fundamentalist government, created by design in the White House of Jimmy Carter during the Cold War. Originally supported by the Americans, the Islamic Republic of Iran is now sponsored by the new Russia of Vladimir Putin and has for decades been a sworn enemy of the United States. The mullahs in Tehran scored another victory in getting the Iranian public to select another Islamic terrorist as the new president of Iran three years ago.

Iranians chose to elect a so-called moderate whose record in power shows a history of complete loyalty to the mullocracy going back to his days hanging out with Ayatollah Khomeini in the commune of Neauphle-le-Chateau in the suburbs of Paris. Hassan Rouhani was the people’s choice as the most moderate candidate from a list of mullah loyalists and is being welcomed by naïve newspaper editors and politicians in the West in the manner of an Iranian Gorbachev. He was in fact a ruse designed by the mullahs to open up relations with the West in order to get the economic sanctions relaxed. And the mullahs succeeded largely thanks to the incompetent diplomacy of Obama.

Thus, last year the West signed the so-called Iran Deal. Iran was saved from imminent collapse and Obama opened up Iran’s economy for Western corporations. Meanwhile, Iran uses $150 billion in formerly blocked funds to improve its military hardware and to fund its terrorist activities in the Middle East. Obama has not stopped Iran in its pursuit of the nuclear bomb, he has only delayed for ten years the development of the inevitable Islamic bomb which will be used by Iran to attack Israel and the West.

The mullahs never compromised with America. They just wanted to buy precious time in order to bring closer the dawn of Iran’s new era of nuclear bombs. Rouhani was merely the smiler with a knife. The mullocracy has had seven years in which to watch their greatest enemy, which they call the Great Satan, transform itself from George Bush’s imperial presidency to Barack Obama’s post-America, which appeases its enemies and betrays its allies.

From the minarets of Tehran, the secretive Mullah regime sees in Obama a 21st century Neville Chamberlain, who will sell out to the forces of Islam in order to preserve “peace in our time.” America is weary of overseas wars and has become a worn out great power no longer interested in defending the West, just like the United Kingdom during the 1930s. Americans today look to Obama for a free lunch and Obama would rather create a socialist welfare society run by an all-controlling White House than fight for the defence of the free world. Like Putin, Obama is not interested in the Anglo-Saxon freedoms that made the United States the greatest power of the 20th century.

The mullahs know that Putin is ruthless and that Obama is a soft touch, a man who does not have his country’s best interests at heart. Like Bin Laden at 9/11, the mullahs are out to attack American power and cripple it forever by bringing the Islamic nuclear bomb into Tehran’s war arsenal. They know that an atomic mullocracy will forever seal their power to enslave the people of Iran under sharia, and will destroy the prestige of the United States in the Arab world forever. Iran’s ally Russia is waiting in the wings to replace American hegemony in the Middle East.

The United States, after the Iran Deal,  is very unlikely to deal ruthlessly with the Iranian threat to Israel and the West, and that threat will become toxic once the Ayatollah achieves his nuclear nirvana. There is fear amongst a small minority of people in the West that a nuclear Iran will tip the balance in Eurasia in the favour of Islam. But the majority of people in Western countries simply don’t care, just like the cowardly British ruling class of the 1930s didn’t care about the threat posed by Nazi Germany.

Capitulation and sexy sharia

Millions in the West would gladly accommodate the rise of an authoritarian Islamic caliphate on the doorsteps of Europe, not to mention the introduction of sharia law in countries of the European Union. Take Britain, for example. When Jewish journalist Melanie Phillips warned an audience in London on the BBC television show Question Time that a nuclear Iran posed a threat to the West, she was viciously jeered by the “cool” cockneys who now see Israel as the threat, not Iran.

Ms Phillips was subjected to rabid anti-Semitic tweets by foaming-at-the-mouth Jew-hating Britons. Today in Britain it is “cool” see people in Bedouin-style clothing on the streets of our cities. It is “cool” to wear the PLO scarf made famous Yasser Arafat. It is “cool” because multiculturalism is now the new religion of the younger generation and Anglo-Saxon freedom must go the way of Zoroastrianism in Iran to make way for sexy sharia.

Britons and Europeans no longer understand or believe in Judeo-Christian Western values. Within a generation they might well be saying “Je suis Mussulman” if they don’t stand up and fight the terrorist threat posed by both Shi’ite and Sunni fundamentalists. Indeed, Bernard Lewis, the Middle Eastern and Islamic scholar, has stated that Europe has already abdicated the battle for cultural and religious control.

In a special briefing with the editorial staff of The Jerusalem Post nine years ago, he remarked that “Europeans are losing their own loyalties and their own self-confidence […] They have no respect for their own culture.” Europeans had “surrendered” on every issue with regard to Islam in a mood of “self-abasement,” “political correctness” and “multi-culturalism,” he said.

The face of fundamentalism, which sneers at the world from behind the veil of jihad, must be unmasked and confronted by means of war. Or else the veil of jihad will expand to cover not only the Middle East, but also Europe and North America. Europeans, and the West more generally, must stop surrendering to terrorism and Islamism. Otherwise, we risk the annihilation of the civilisations our ancestors built over the last millennium.
