Violence in Jerusalem and on Temple Mount.

Times of Israel is live blogging events.  I recommend that you visit this site for the latest update.

When evaluating the reports, remember the  Battle in Jenin 2002.  Wikipedia reported that “Palestinian militants had prepared for a fight,, booby trapping the camp,”

After calm was restored:

“senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat suggested to CNN that some 500 Palestinians had been killed in the camp. Five days later, when the fighting stopped, PA Secretary Ahmed Abdel Rahman told UPI that the number was in the thousands, hinting, along with other Palestinian figures, that Israel had snatched bodies, buried Palestinians in mass graves and under the rubble of ruined buildings, and otherwise conducted on a scale compatible with genocide.”

The same is happening now.

This violence is orchestrated and promoted by the PA and Hamas. Already there are reports that rocks and other projectiles were stored on the Temple Mount in advance for use by the rioters. Rest assured that all reports of the injured and the violence are greatly inflated, just as they were in Jenin in 2002. The EU press were quick to rely on such reports in order to vilify and blame Israel.

Biden administration was also quick to blame both sides knowing that the Palestinians were trying to wreak havoc and the Israel forces were just trying to restore law and order.  Every US administration for decades has used Palestinian violence as a spring board to forcing Israel to make concessions or gestures. For example, after the Intifadah in 2001, “The Mitchell Report made clear that Israeli settlement policy is as much to blame for the breakdown of the peace process as Palestinian violence and that a settlement freeze is necessary to end the violence.”
