@Adam
I agree with your comments on TFIG. Its analysis is skin deep and often is in error.
Nevertheless I post their videos anyways because they present a different view of things and are always pro-Israel.
TFIG’s ignorance of history and current events is staggering. America did not rescue the Jews during World War II. It did very little to promote Israel’s independence, even going so far as imposing an arms embargo on it, and urging the United Nations General Assembly to repeal its resolution recommending creation of a Jewish state in part of Palestine.
There is no evidence of a conflict between Russia and China. On the contrary, they hold joint military maneuvers and have a flourishing trade between them. No evidence that Russia is worried about Chinese influence in Iran or disapproves of Chinese assistance to Iran. While it is true that China’s state media has been critical of Israel, the Russian state media has been at least equally critical of it. Russia has joined with China and most other countries in supporting resolutions condemning Israel. Israel has a flourishing trade with both Russia and China. It has even awarded China a lucrative contract for operating its main port in Haifa. And it has not responded to pressure from the U.S. to break this contract.
For the most part, Israel follows George Washington’s advice to his fellow countrymen: Friendship for all nations, entangling alliances with none.
Russia will not ally with Israel because it believes (correctly) that is Israel is a close ally of the USA. Since Russia and the USA are still adversaries vying for power Russia will not ally with Israel.
There are few situations where Russia and the US are on the same side. One of those was when they both fought the Nazis. Russia usually takes the other side so that it can cause the US trouble.
Russia was the first to support the Palestinian side starting with the training of Arafat by the KGB in 1964. Since then the US began to support and protect Arafat and the PLO and the PA.
Russia had to take a back seat almost to the point of irrelevance.
When Trump switched sides to Israel, Russia was happy to be the Palestinian protector. But things have now changed and Russia can barely make a difference. Russia now has an opportunity to support Israel in opposition to the Biden administration.
And No, Adam. Russia is not deeply committed to Iran
No Israel-Russia alliance is coming. Russia is deeply committee to Iran, Israel’s principal enemy, and the Assad regime, which has invited Iranian-controlled militias led by officers of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard onto its territory and along Israel’s border. I don’t think Putin is personally antisemitic, but he does see Israel as an enemy of his friends. Recently Russian policy has become even more of a threat to Israel as he has now authorized Syria to acquire Russia’s most advanced ground-to-air missiles, which will be a thret to Israeli aircraft.
As to America’s “dominance” in the Middle East, that ended years ago. The usual bs from TFIG.
