US surrenders without a fight

By Dr Haim Shime, ISRAEL HAYOM

The United States, the strongest power in world history, is lowering its flag and surrendering without a fight to a brutal and vicious Iranian regime. If you look closely, you can see tears falling from the eyes of the Statue of Liberty.

The decline of the West is turning into a fait accompli. Western civilization has chosen to eat, drink and reach dubious deals, no matter what the consequences.

Human history would never forget the fiasco of U.S. President Barack Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry and their friends signing a deal that enabled a terrorist state to get its hands on nuclear weapons and endanger the peace of the entire world.

An unprecedented nightmare would come true if Islamic terror was to machine gun-armed pickup trucks to missiles armed with nuclear warheads.

Only complete fools would think real inspections could be conducted at Iranian nuclear facilities. Iran’s deception capabilities are far more sophisticated than inspectors or spy technology.

The emerging nuclear deal will permit the Iranians to build a nuclear bomb with world’s backing. No one will be able to get in Iran’s way and any complaints about the damage caused by a nuclear Iran will be forwarded to a friendly retired president relaxing somewhere in the U.S.

The sanctions on Iran brought it to the negotiating table and had a decisive impact on its conduct. It would be foolish to lift the sanctions instead of increasing pressure and bringing Iran to its knees.

In the current global reality, particularly at the U.N. Security Council, sanctions that are lifted will never be imposed again. Iranian negotiators are laughing out loud at the Americans who have no clue on how to do business at a Middle Eastern bazaar.

Lifting the sanctions would allow Iran to send its emissaries around the world into action, including against American and European targets. Billions of dollars will oil the wheels of the Islamic revolution and let it continue to draw the blood of innocent people.

It is a given that those who avoid the fight against terrorism will eventually surrender to it. When will the world realize that Islamic terrorism is not just Israel’s problem and that a nuclear Iran would not just endanger the Jews?

During this time period when we mourn the destruction of the Jewish temples, it is important to reiterate — never again. Like always, we have no one but ourselves to rely on. And those who believe are not afraid.

  1. You will all have to learn to accommodate the essential truth of the United States governance situation, which is that its leadership can never be counted upon to save any of its supposed allies from endangerment at the hands of regimes that threaten other countries with destruction.

Go ask the refugees who fled what had been the Republic of South Vietnam, before the protecting US forces evacuated that land in 1975, with the last bunch of soldiers and air-lifted by helicopters landing on a small pad atop the US embassy building in Saigon, as the city was falling to troops of the Viet Cong and the North Viet Nam army. If matters ever comes down to it, they will do the same thing to you in Israel, using shallow draft ships to evacuate their last remaining personnel from the Mediterranean beach adjoining the US embassy building in Tel Aviv. That’s probably the reason they insisted on building their embassy in that location.

Is any of this likely to change with next year’s presidential election? I more or less doubt that. Based on the current campaigns of the two main parties, it still looks like Hillary Clinton vs the herd of 16 GOP elephants. And I think she will beat whichever one of the Republicans nominate for president. But she will be facing a Republican-controlled US Senate and US House of Representatives. All that will occur in Washington will be endless political battles, as this now-overspent and utterly disunited society weakens further and further.

I have been preaching to most of you for a number of years that Israel should do everything possible to become allies of Russia, China, India and any other relatively large countries that are not under control of these grave-diggers of the United States. You had all better think up some ways to get that accomplished, as soon as possible.

  2. The surprise is that Israeli leadership ever believed Obama did not want Iran to have nuclear weapons. Iran having nukes accomplishes so many of his objectives, from diminishing America to imperiling Israel to facilitating jihad. Netanyahu failed to do his homework: read Obama’s “autobiographies”, investigate his associations, work to understand that BO is an Alinskyite radical. It is all publicly available information. Obama is an America-hating anti-Semite. Where is the surprise factor when Obama turns out to be what Obama has always been?

What caught me off guard is Netanyahu. I dramatically overrated his intelligence. He somehow failed to grasp the unavoidably obvious.

  3. And what is the surprise?
It has been a forgone conclusion from the word go.
The tragedy is that what we considered to be our leaders did not DO a thing to stop Iran either. Netanyahu’s tap dancing shows also meant to keep the zombies dormant.
    Whay to do?
SELECT MEW leadership no matter what and assure that the new ones are for real.
Otherwise I can hear it already…
“We did all we could but… da world failed”
“We will have to learn to live with a nuclear Iran”
ALL THAT followed with the perennial unJews crutch.
