Aaron Klein, WorldNetDaily.com,discloses that Intel official says Washington promoting Palestinian state to pay for Arab support
A senior Palestinian intelligence official said that based on meetings with American diplomats he “understood” the U.S. plans to target Iran’s suspected nuclear installations in two to three months if negotiations with Tehran don’t generate a major breakthrough.
The official, speaking to WND yesterday on condition of anonymity, said according to what he “understood,” the U.S. will “pay” for Arab support for a U.S. strike against Iran by creating a temporary Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip and most of the West Bank by next summer.
Although it is hardly supported by this official and no one else, it sounds right to me. Bush’s vision speech of ’02 and the Roadmap were the price paid for Arab support for US invasion of Iraq. So this trade off has a precedent.
It would explain the following;
-
– Abbas kept increasing his demands throughout the last month,
– Abbas or Erikat forecast a state by ’08.
– Israel gave everything, virtually, in exchange for Iran being taken out.
– Olmert says the coalition will hold together even though there is much grumbling
– Arab states are not cooperating because it is not part of the deal
– The attack on the Israel Lobby (US interests before Israeli interests) to pave the way for the sacrifice of Israel
– there is no talk of a peace agreement with the Arabs, only “recognition” or “normalization”. (Come to think about it even these words aren’t currently in the news. Thus nothing is required of the Arabs.
I have argued in the past that the Arab states are not as worried about Iran as the US says they are – Arab policies weren’t supportive of US policies e.g the Mecca Accords – thus the Arabs had to be bought off.
One must admit, though, that there are signs to the contrary.
-
– time is running out for a deal (perhaps brinksmanship)
– it is far from clear that the US is committed to such a state but they are committed to the appearance of a peace process (I keep asking, why are they weakening Israel)
– the presidential primaries will be upon us before a deal on a Palestinian state is struck
But hey, what do I know.
The official probably supplied WND with some official disinformation.
As though there are only 2 choices – leave Israel intact or get nuked.
Nobody will attack Iran. Iran will take over Iraq eventually. The world politics turns on money anyway, and if the Middle East gets nuked (even at the lovely reward of doing in the Jews) – how will anybody get the oil out of there? Even Iranians (I mean the government) know on which side their bread is buttered. The fight agains Jews will be decidedly more low-tech. With the Americans and the British leading the way, as usual with the usual excuses.
Aaron Klein I believe has a good track record of being mostly correct. What bothers me in most reports of this kind are the anonymous sources?
That America or anyone else would or is capable of selling Israels security and interests out for their own National or even personal political interests is a given! I believe two things for sure; that Israel is capable of doing the Iran thing alone but is fearful of the after conflict if they do. It might mean that Iran and any combination will attack Israel and even Jewish interests and Jews themselves all over the World Like what they did in the past in Argentina only more intensively and much worse. This is not to say that Iran and their allies might not do the same even if the US. attacks Iran. A conflict with Iran has also the possibility of causing total collapse of American and Western economies and their financial structures. No one know for sure if the Iranians have not purchased any nukes or dirty bombs either off the shelf or on the black market and I can say from experience that one gram of osmium isotope196 was selling on the black market for over a hundred thousand dollars and there are many more, exotic isopes being produced in FSR especially from Russian labs in Kazakhstan and Siberia. We have all heard of nuke brief cases and suitcases! They already have operational rockets that cover all of Israel and parts of Europe.
I believe this is what is driving all policy makers here and in America to sleeplessness nights.
This puts both Israel and America between a rock and a hard place.
Personally I do not see a way around not nuking them where it hurts in hopes of preventing worst case scenario after Iran is attacked. Instilling Fear must be guiding determination in Nuking Iran; in hopes of preventing worst case aftermath scenario.
