UK denies us the right to express ourselves

Europe keeps pressing Israel on being more forthcoming i.e., giving in to Arab demands. It doesn’t want the turmoil in EGypt to stall the peace process or be a game changer for israel. Our concerns should not even be mentioned. Well, too bad. T. Belman

UK to Israel: Drop negative stance on Egypt

Ynet

“Amidst the opportunity for countries like Tunisia and Egypt, there is a legitimate fear that the Middle East peace process will lose further momentum and be put to one side, and will be a casualty of uncertainty in the region,” Hague said in an interview with The Times en route to Jordan.

He added that “part of the fear is that uncertainty and change will complicate the process still further. That means there is a real urgency for the Israelis and the United States. Recent events mean this is an even more urgent priority and that’s a case we are putting to the Israeli Government and in Washington.”

According to the British minister, “This should not be a time for belligerent language. It’s a time to inject greater urgency into the Middle East peace process.”

He said he planned to convey similar messages to Arab leaders in his emergency tour of the region, emphasising that Britain will speak up for political and economic freedom, but explicitly acknowledging that in different countries “change will take time according to their cultures.”

Between Egypt and Iran
The British foreign secretary made these remarks on the backdrop of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement that Egypt may follow in Iran’s footsteps, oppress its own people and threaten neighboring countries.

Speaking Monday at the European Friends of Israel conference at the Knesset, Netanyahu said that various potential scenarios exist in Egypt at this time, beyond the liberal democratic models – including secular reforms, an Islamist takeover, or Egypt following the Iran example.

The Obama administration conveyed a calming message to Jerusalem on Tuesday, promising that regional instability in the Middle East would not affect US relations with Israel.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was responding to criticisms that the US administration had turned its back on a key ally, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, after protesters called on him to step down. Some wondered whether it could do the same to Israel.

  1. Yamit82: ” the same way that we did to the Nazis who tortured, mutilated, and killed over six million of us. Do NOTHING!” Do nothing??? Considering that it was a case of starved, unarmed, and not organized civilians, including many women, children, old people, disabled people, etc., against the strongest military force in Europe at the time (if not the world), just what would you expect them to do? And have you never heard of the rebellions in Auschwitz, Sobibor, the Warsaw Ghetto, and other ghettoes and camps; the Jewish partisans in the Balkans, Ukraine, and Russia; the Jews who escaped and joined the Allied military…etc.?
A little more empathy, and a little more reading of history, might help you to be less condescending toward fellow Jews who were not as fortunate as you.

Yes, I’ve studied the history and have spoken to many many survivors both in America and Israel. If I say what I really think I will make a lot of people angry and some might be emotionally hurt so I won’t say more. Just one thing. We all face and make choices in life some turn out good some not. Some Jews saw the handwriting on the wall early and got out of Europe. Some got to Palestine. Not a single Jew who made it to Palestine was murdered by the Nazis. In the last hundred years the number of Jews in Palestine and Israel killed by our enemies equals a half days total in any of the camps with crematoriums.

Today other Jews are making choices that have future consequences. Problem with Jews they never learn from their past.

  3. Let’s look at the very countries who are shouting for Israel to give more and more to the arabs.
All countries who are sitting on their arse, sucking their thumbs while muslims are taking
them over. These people are breeding faster than rabbits in the UK, France, Germany, Spain,
Belgium, Holland, and Germany. These governments pay them, feed them, house them,
and sit by while they are making bombs and shouting sedition. They are the ones telling US
    to bend over?

  4. The Brits, the obamists , the europeans and the usual leftist idiots in Israel are expressing symptoms of their oxymoronic push for Israel to ‘urgently’ sign some sort of a ‘peace’ deal with the resident arabs (‘palestinians’). The urgency is on the part of the Jew haters. Noone in their right mind would sign anything with the unrepresentative plo chief thug, abbas or with thier Jew denying hamasticks, especially at this time when our northern border is threatened by ‘hizbullah’ and now our ‘stable’ peace with Egypt has become destabilized. To the ‘quartet’, nato and other ‘piece lovers’, the emperor has NO clothes… !!!

  5. “I prefer a powerful and proud Jewish State that is hated by the entire world than an Auschwitz that is loved by one and all” Still the wisest answer all these years have passed

  6. Exactly. My comment is awaiting moderation. I see.
This means what I just wrote is exactly on target. Sorry they got to you Ted.
Still in the end, our voices will not quiet. Not for anyone. You of all people should know that.

In the mean time someone on this forum insinuated only 10percent of Jews travel to Israel. I asked for a link and did not get one. I will forward that post to ADL and SWI.
    Thank you most kindly.

  7. They like us until we behave other than what they want to see. Still to this day people on both sides dictate to Jews. This is proof positive how it has always been and most sadly it never ends.
Proof of that right here on this blog with suggestion or two I should “take my leave.”

Why I myself always look in the mirror and suggest others do the same.

  8. It’s a time to inject greater urgency into the Middle East peace process.

    Really?!!!!

These people are truly insane and should be treated as such.

    HCQ:

I think we all know what happens when Jews aren’t belligerent.

That’s why I keep on sayin’ that we Jews shouldn’t be constantly trying to make people love us. Most won’t. Instead we should be trying to make people fear us, because fear brings true respect.

  9. “Jew, Fight Fair”
    http://www.masada2000.org/FightFair.html
The Romans in full view of the crowds in the Coliseum were going to feed a Jew to the lions. They dug a hole five feet deep, put in the Jew standing up and buried him to his neck, so that only his head was above ground. They then let out the lion that was starved for two days. The lion with his mouth drooling went straight for the Jew and circled his prey before eating it. When it got close, the Jew bit it. It yelped and ran away. From the stands of the Coliseum, someone screamed, “Jew, Fight Fair!”

What do they want from us?

You know what they want from us? They want us to react to the Arab murderers the same way that we did to the Nazis who tortured, mutilated, and killed over six million of us. Do NOTHING!

No, we Jews are civilized and after the Arabs kill the last Jew in Israel we are expected to collect money to make yet another memorial dedicated to the memory of murdered Jews THIS TIME at the hands of fanatic Arabs with genocide on their minds. If we do anything to avert this second Holocaust upon Jews, someone from the Coliseum will scream…
    “JEW, FIGHT FAIR!”

What the West (Edom) cannot come to grips with is a Jewish fighter with a gun, How much more so Jews with Nukes?

It is only now that Jews can put the sun to shame. In Mahabharata’s words, we can light thousands of suns. With a push of a red button.

It’s time to start behaving like normal people who recognize their enemy and start fighting Fire with Fire.

Threat of Egypt aid cutoff over

By Paul Richter, David S. Cloud and Kathleen Hennessey

  10. Oh, those belligerent Jews. How dare they express concern? How dare they question those who know what’s best for them?

I think we all know what happens when Jews aren’t belligerent. I think we know what happened when Jews put their well being in the hands of others. I think it’s safe to say that a belligerent Jew is a Jew very much interested in his/her/their survival.

  11. “[P]art of the fear is that uncertainty and change will complicate the process still further…”

    Well, wouldn’t it, Mr Secretary?

Funny, how whatever goes down, whatever the news may be, it’s ALWAYS evidence of greater urgency that Israel yield.

That dog don’t hunt so good no more.
