UAE and other Arab ‘allies’ block US from retaliating against Iran.

Peloni:  US assets can be used to protect the UAE, Qatar and other Sunni ‘allies’ in the region, but it seems that those same assets can not be used to protect US forces in the region.  The absurd relationship established by this one sided alliance demonstrate the degree to which US standing in the region has crumbled.  Israel alone remains America’s true ally in the region, even as the current administration is abusing that alliance to Israel’s detriment.

  1. @John Galt III
You raise a good point here, but it is more importantly relevant than even limiting the US military from responding to attacks on US interests due to Sunni concerns about potential Iranian attacks. These nations are in fact not just responding to concerns regarding Iran, as they are also in response to Russian and Chinese interests in the region. Last year, China conducted over $500 Bn worth of trade in the region, while the US conducted only $80 Bn. China does not have the military assets to compete with the US, but they have the ear of Iran and they have demonstrated the ability to influence the Iranians far more capably than has the US with their well leashed military, sizeable as it is. As every policy choice being made seems to universally benefit China at America’s expense, it should be recalled that those policies are being chosen by China Joe and his China First acolytes, and nowhere is this more relevantly clear than in the middle east.

  2. If Iran bombed the UAE and other Sunni Countries the US under Obama/Biden would quietly cheer and then do NOTHING.

    So, do you blame them?
