He gained in some, he lost in others, and he lost ground nationally. He lost the debate.
Not on points; on substance he was better, for sure. But his demeanor and delivery were poor. The moderator was the most biased moderator of a presidential debate I have ever seen in my life. Lester Holt was horrendous…I wanted to reach through the TV screen and punch him.
That doesn’t let Trump entirely off the hook. He did not prepare the way he should have. He thought he could “wing it” and he was wrong. Hopefully, he learned something. If he comes off in the next two debates the way he did in the first, he is finished.
