Following earlier reports that Steve Witkoff, who negotiated the Surrender Deal with Hamas, would be leading the negotiating team with Iran, Trump clarified that this would not be the case. Read more here:

Unfortunately Trump has appointed many former officials who served in the “deep state” under previous administrations. Witkoff is one of these, having served in several previous Democratic administrations and having supported their policies. This is part of a consistent pattern with Trump, since he pursued this strategy in his first term of appointing people to high office with backgrounds in the “deep state” who were hostile to his program and values. Apparently he hoped to win them over and makie use of them to legitimate his policies in the eyes of the “deep state,” and persuading them to cooperate with his administration. This approach failed miserably in his first term. He had to fire all of these peopoe when they refused to implement his policies, Once they left his administration nearly all of them viciously attacked him in the press and openly became his worst enemies.
Unfortunately, he seems to be following this same failed strategy in his second term. Once again he is appointing some “deep staters” to high offices in the belief that he can win them over. He still hasn’t realized that the only way he can get his policies carried out is to appoint only MAGA people who are loyal to him.
You can’t “end the wars” before you end the wars.
Someone should tell that to Trump and his guy. According to recent postings here in the US, Witkoff WILL be running with Iran.
Meanwhile, Trump (whom I support) has been ending protection for various people such as Pompeo and Bolton, whom Iran is trying to kill because they don’t like what they have been doing to them.
Does this make any sense? Or does Israel have to finish off the Iranian regime before doing anything else?
