THIS WILL BLOW YOU AWAY! – BRILLIANT! (VIDEO)

Batya Ungar-Sargon‘s interview this week from The War Room with Steve Bannon was like no other.

Batya, a former liberal from Queens and an opinion editor at Newsweek, shared her journey from hardcore New York leftist to Trump supporter. And it is amazing! The way she describes Trump Nation is just perfect. The left will never get this. The elites will never understand this. And yet this is why they fear him and his MAGA movement.

Trump speaks for the working American. Trump represents the working American and American Greatness. The elites can never break that bond he has with the American people.

Batya says, “Donald Trump is like a New Deal Democrat.”

Steve Bannon: I want to talk about, you say you’re a liberal or progressive, yet this book is, I know you’re going to come out with a bigger media campaign later, but Second Class is one of the definitive works out there. It’s about to come out. How do you say you’re a liberal? When I read it, and I feel like I’m reading a MAGA writer?

Batya Ungar-Sargon: Well, to me, Donald Trump is kind of like a New Deal Democrat. And this is something I tried to explain to Bill Maher, as well. To Democrats and liberals, Trump is an extremist, but to Trump supporters, he is a moderate, if not a liberal. His view on abortion, 16 weeks, right? That was the Democrats view until the 90s. His view on immigration, that mass migration is class warfare against the working class. That was the view of the Democrats until the 90s. Bernie Sanders in 2015, open borders. That’s a Koch brothers proposal. Right? You remember that Trump is pro-black. He’s courting black voters. He’s pro-gay. I hear that from his supporters all the time, and they love that about him. That is who the Democrats used to be, and now it is who MAGA is. And I say that with a lot of love and respect.

Steve Bannon: So how talk about that as a liberal, you’ve been outcast because you take the side of the working class. So how can that be? The Democrats tell us all the time they’re a working class party.

Batya Ungar-Sargon: No, that’s complete nonsense. The Democrats are the party of the college credentialed elites and the dependent poor. So all of their policies are either about flattering the vanity of the rich or sustaining the poor. That won’t work. And meanwhile, everybody in the middle, the hardworking people who listen to your show, who you know about and who you respect, they were not represented by either party until Trump came along. And Trump showed up and said, wait a minute. Why is no one standing up for the hardworking American? And what I did for this book is I traveled around the country and interviewed working class Americans. And let me tell you something, Steve, and you know this. Working class Americans, whether they vote for Democrat or Republican, whether they’re liberal or conservative, they all have the same views. Like, neither party is really speaking to them. They all agree by and large about the most important issues. Polarization is a totally elite phenomenon…

…So the elites are very, very polarized. If you talk to someone who’s been to college, conservative or liberal, somebody who works in the media elites, somebody who works in the political elites, they look at the party platform, whether it’s the GOP platform or the democratic platform, and they’re like, check, check. Whatever the party tells them is the good and the right they agree with. So there’s no natural connection between supporting abortion on demand and believing in climate change and supporting an open border. Those things were cobbled together because they are all in the interests of the leftist elites. And so if you’re in those leftist elites, you’re like, oh, these are all my priorities. If you are a hardworking american, those are not your priorities. You go issue by issue and say, well, I’m a Christian, so I would never get an abortion, but I know somebody who was raped, so I don’t want it to be banned. You say, well, I have a family member who’s gay, and I want them to be treated with dignity, but I have a child school and I’m terrified of the trans agenda. Right. You have this because the american working class is deeply tolerant, and so that is how they approach the world…

…Let me tell you something. 97% of donations coming out of Silicon Valley go to Democrats. The majority of Americans making over $500,000 a year are Democrats. Nine of the ten richest counties in this country now vote for Democrats. And the majority of donations coming out of Wall Street went to Joe Biden and not to Donald Trump because these elites hate Trump because he represents the return of the middle class, the rise of the working class, and the pride of the working class. That’s what they hate and why they write this stuff, this drivel. They cannot stand the idea that people who work with their hands for a living should have dignity.

I’m not surprised. And..if you look down to the first post of the subject , as I did later, from curiosity, you’ll see her described as “a Liberal Jew”, by the poster.

In fact the name “Batya” although I am in MO WAY a philologist, may be a form of the ancient family name of the famous family of many sages, called Bathyra, which was very prominent around the turn of the millenium in the last days of the Temple..

By the way, although you quoted from Zeitlin, you did’t say if you were enjoying or impresseed by his writings.

With a name like “Batya” she has to be Jewish. That was also the name of Elie Weisel’s elder sister who was married to my cousin. Even after what she’s been through she was a wonderful person. I often stayed wit them on my tripe back and from Dublin.

A plaque was recently unvelied on Elie weisel Park in Montreal in her honour.

  4. The Highlight which says that “Trump represents the middle class” is true, and I’ve seen that it does, but he also represents the Working Class, as he has shown by opening up millions of jobs when he was President, when he made the US energy independent. Coal Mines, Oil Rigs and etc. .
And don’t forget the shale oil.

    All labour intensive.

It’s amazing how the right gives Trump a free pass over issues other GOPers would be rejected for.

Yet you miss the point. Trump is not a GOPer, and Trump did not run to lead the GOP. Instead, he specifically ran against the GOP, with panache and a style all his own. He did so because the GOP had been betraying the nation for years, and the nation needed someone who could face the ‘other GOPers’ and tell them that business as usual had come to an end. This is why the GOP chose to join with the Dems against Trump, because they recognized that they truly had more in common with the corrupt and vile Dems than they could ever have had with Trump. In fact, Trump threatened the entitlements of the GOP, the established hierarchy of the GOP, and even the long term survival of the GOP. Well, Trump won that rat race, and served the nation he loved as no member of the GOP would have dared doing, though the ‘other GOPers’ played a decisive role in once more betraying the nation by certifying the coup of 2020 for their Dem allies. The old GOP is no longer the Rep party today, and with every day that passes this becomes more and more true. It is instead a very different party, one which is inclusive of even NY liberals who love their country more than they hate their political opposites. Personally, I believe that this is the greatest feature of the party which Trump has transformed the GOP into being. Hopefully, it will also be the party which will save the nation with a sizeable victory in November, as Trump Makes America Great Again.

  6. @Laura I heard Trump talk about his position in an interview and he said he would try to bring the sides together to compromise but he wouldn’t impose a federal solution, which is the Constitutional and proper thing to do, not to, I mean. The projection of his enemies who accuse him of doing the things they do is surreal. He has always tried to pass legislation rather than go the Executive Order route, unlike Obama and Biden. And he is scrupulous about not reading things into the Constitution that aren’t there while observing the things that are! As far as abortion is concerned, he went through the same experience I did. I heard him in a town hall style talk show in which he said that the sonograms showing how soon fetuses develop, much sooner, than anyone thought, made him pro-life but he’s not extreme and he believes there should be exceptions for rape, incest, and saving the mother’s life (I know that last one is in accordance with Jewish law), and another time, he said maybe if the sides would compromise they would wind up with 12 weeks like Europe. But, I’m sure he wants to see it be “safe but rare” as Democrats said it should be as recently as the ’90s. I agree with him.

  7. That’s ironic since Trump himself is a NY liberal (on social issues) who supports abortion and gay rights. Are they aware that Trump hosted a gay wedding at Mar a Lago? It’s amazing how the right gives Trump a free pass over issues other GOPers would be rejected for.

I read the comments on Gateway and was suprised that she was rejected by so many. They looked at her as a NY liberal Jew who supports abortion and gay rights.. They ignored her overview of the democratic party which did its best to destroy the Middlle class. MAGA represents the middle class.

  8. @Michael.
    I implied no such thing.
I should also point out that she decribed MAGA people as pro gay rights and pro limited abortion rights after interviewing MAGA people throughout the country for her book. So she wasn’talking about her views. She was talking about their views.

  9. I just purchased her last book, “Bad News: How Woke Media is Undermining Democracy (2021) as an audible book for 1 credit (or it would have been $14.95). It’s also available as an Amazon Kindle book for 9.00 or as a used hard cover on various sites from $8.00 or $37.95 at Walmart to $349.75 or $507.25 at Bulk Shipping. 😀

    Plus tax and shipping.

    AI gone mad.

Never heard of her before. She was the editor of the Forward, the oldest left wing Jewish newspaper and she is the opinion editor or deputy opinion editor, depending on which news site you read, with no dates, of Newsweek from what I was able to find googling. In the past, I recall being pleasantly amazed to find that Caroline Glick had a column in Newsweek though I just looked just now and I can’t find anything by Caroline Glick and I am seeing anti-Trump and anti-Israel articles. Is Batya-Ungar Sargon still at Newsweek? Interesting name. Is she Jewish? Where is her family from, I wonder.

  10. Ted,

They looked at her as a NY liberal Jew who supports abortion and gay rights..

Are you implying, that those who oppose abortion and gay rights are antiSemites?

  11. Batya represents an important voice in MAGA. MAGA is and always was focused upon the American people, the middle class as Ted stated. There are those who would prefer to merge the MAGA movement with the values of the old GOP, but these are incompatibly different movements. MAGA has no focus upon the American oligarchs, neither those from the Left nor those from the Right. It is this latter group around which the old RINO GOP was centered. This is why they preferred open borders and globalist trade deals, leaving only scraps for the American people to make ends meet. These are the Right wing trademarks of the Uniparty, and MAGA is the antidote to the Uniparty, and it is great to know that people such as Batya are part of Making America Great Again. Without MAGA advocates like her throughout the Blue Wall, Trump could never have won in 2016, and might not have honestly won in 2020. America is not a exclusively Right wing nation any more than it is a Left wing nation. Likewise, MAGA is big enough to house both sides of its MAGA converts, and without both sides being present and accounted among its base, America will never be saved from tumbling off the terrible precipice on which it stands today. As in Israel, America’s survival is dependent upon a sense of unity around America. Failing to resolve this fact as certain, America will fall, and with it most of the world will face a brutal and ugly future.

  12. Ted… these are the fruits of ignorance caused by being ideologically hidebound. People have a checklist of “must haves” and “must not haves” and that’s where it ends.
This lady is obviously intensely focused, and is therefore worth following (and supporting).

  13. I read the comments on Gateway and was suprised that she was rejected by so many. They looked at her as a NY liberal Jew who supports abortion and gay rights.. They ignored her overview of the democratic party which did its best to destroy the Middlle class. MAGA represents the middle class.
