This is war. There should be zero tolerance for provocateurs.

T. Belman. Just imagine a rioter in the US confronting the police this way. He would be forced to the ground in two seconds. In Israel, there should be zero tolerance to this kind of aggressiveness. The young IDF soldiers have to deal with these riots every week. Their lives are at risk. These soldiers did right in aggressively subduing him..

Soldiers Caught on Film Hitting Arab Provocateur

Soldiers allege that the Arab tried to snatch a rifle and hit them, but the Arab media footage, as usual, is damaging regardless of the truth.

Above is the video as filmed and edited by Arab media.

The Palestinian Authority is gloating over footage of soldiers apparently beating an aggressive provocateur, but soldiers said that the video does not show a prior scene of the man trying to snatch on their rifles.

The IDF said it the apparent behavior of the soldiers, seen kicking him while he was pinned to the ground, does not “match expectations” of the military.

The incident took place neat Beit El and Ramallah, as it does every Friday. Dozens of people, including children, hurl rocks at soldiers and often cause injuries. Soldiers said that the man shown in the film is a constant thorn in their side and always incites others.

It is not easy being an Israeli soldier in Judea and Samaria. Troops are forbidden to shoot bullets at rock thrower. They are constantly filmed by Arab media who are waiting for a chance to show the soldiers as thugs.

This time they succeeded. Even if the video left out the attempted rifle-snatching and assault of a soldier, the “disproportionate” response darkens Israel’s image that is never going to be positive in the eyes of the media and political leaders.

  1. Soldiers allege that the Arab tried to snatch a rifle and hit them, but the Arab media footage, as usual, is damaging regardless of the truth.

We have to stop worrying how Israel will look to the haters who already have their minds made up. Israel’s true allies will not be swayed by the transparent bias of how this incident is being portrayed.

Babushka, is right about this being similar to the media coverage of the Texas incident and all the other incidents involving police and minority criminals. These wretched scoundrels will be very sorry one day for their direct role in empowering criminals and terrorists and demonizing the good guys. They are paving the way for a horrific future in which their children and grandchildren will be living in. May the media burn in hell.

  2. Same crap as McKinney, Texas. The liberal media portrays the aggressors as victims and the authorities as victimizers. The IDF policy of hamstringing soldiers is truly Obama-esque, and nothing is worse than being Obama-esque.

  3. That will never, ever happen if the so called military command structure and doctrine is not returned to military standards from the still in place Oslo intentional sabotage guidelines. That requires complete personnel removal and stern selection, with Knesset approval, of a new, very much new command staff.
At present we are being sold down the creek by the 300 gang.
The “rubber bullets and paint ball” deviants must go. NOW!
