America has forced Israel to:
1. Accept the Roadmap which contained the Saudi Plan and prohibited settlement construction. Our 14 reservations meant nothing and Res 242 was forgotten about.
2. Sign the Rafah Agreement that squeezed us out of the Rafah Crossing thereby giving rise to unrestricted smuggling. The result of which was over 10,000 rockets coming our way.
3. Accept Res 1701 at end of the second Lebanon war which was to stop Hezbollah from rearming. It did no such thing and now the US is negotiating with Hezbollah.
4. Apologize to Erdogan when we were in the right, on the understanding that Turkey would again work with us. A total failure.
5. Release 104 convicted murders as a sweetener to get Abbas to enter negotiations which are of no value to us.
6. Enter into negotiation for a settlement while at the same time agreeing with the Arab position of ’67 borders plus minor swaps. Israel should not have entered negotiations on these conditions.
7. Forgo a pre-emptive strike on Iran. Look what that got us.
8. Accept a link between Iran and Palestine. Israel is now in Washington to negotiate the quid pro quo.
9. Greatly reduce construction East of greenline even in Jerusalem.
10. Refrain from building in E1.
Of Israel’s own volition she,
-
1. Caved to China’s demand that she not let her employee testify in a lawsuit on behalf of terror victims.
2. Caved to the EU on their Guidelines by compromising on Horizon 2020.
3. Caved to the EU by turning a blind eye to her support of the Arab theft of land and illegal construction in Area C.
4. Permits all the EU financed left-wing subversive NGO’s to function with barely a peep.
Does anyone think for a moment that this pattern will change.

Dunno where you got that figure (unless you meant 1500, but your finger inadvertently hit the zero 3 times instead of twice).
There may have been as many as 2000 Jewish deaths by now.

Ma Avarech
What shall I bless him?
What blessings can I give this child, what can he be blessed with?
Asked the angel
What blessings can I give this child, what can he be blessed with?
Asked the angel
And he blessed him with a smile, bright as light
And he blessed him with big observing eyes
With them to catch every flower, every living creature or bird
And with a heart to feel what he sees.
What blessings can I give this adolesence , what can he be blessed with?
Asked the angel
What blessings can I give this adolesence, what can he be blessed with?
Asked the angel
And he blessed him with legs to dance for ever
And a soul to remeber all tunes
And a hand to collect shells on the beach
And a ear attentive to old and young
What blessings can I give this man , what can he be blessed with?
Asked the angel
What blessings can I give this man, what can he be blessed with?
Asked the angel
And he blessed that his hands which are used to flowers
Will succed in learning the might of the steel
And his legs to dance the roads journey
And lips to sing the command pace
What blessings can I give him , what can he be blessed with?
This child this young adult
What blessings can I give him, what can he be blessed with?
This child this young adult
I gave him all I could give
A song a smile and legs to dance
And a delicate hand and a trembling heart
What else can I bless you with?
This boy is now an angel
No one will bless him, he will never be blessed
God God God
If only you blessed him with life

@ Shy Guy:
Our Sages once said that, in the Future, the Jewish people would gaze upon the face of Evil and proclaim it, instead, to be that of Good. We dare not consign our fate to the whims of any gentile nation, even the United States. This lesson was first taught to our ancestors who, after entering Egypt as welcome guests of Pharaoh, gradually found themselves forced into abject slavery. It was later reinforced in Persia when King Ahasuerus (Artaxerxes) first invited his Jewish subjects to a great feast, then (at the instigation of his advisor Haman) impulsively ordered their mass murder, and finally, in a stunning reversal (orchestrated by his wife Esther), once again became the friend and benefactor of his Jewish subjects. Finally, it was more than evident during the past two millennia of our Exile, most especially during the Holocaust.
Our leadership ignores this historical lesson at its — and our — peril. 🙁
DEVOLUTION OF THE JEW
Mark Rosenblit
“We are not what we once were. Once we were members of a religio-nation — Am Yisrael (the People of Israel) observing Torat Yisrael (the Torah of Israel) in Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel) — which accepted the yoke of the national as well as the personal mitzvot (commandments). But alas, after 2000 years of Exile, we look in the mirror and see, not a nation anymore, but only a religion. All of the national mitzvot are forgotten and only the personal mitzvot remain. Unlike the national mitzvot, which are tethered to, and can only performed in, the Land of Israel under Jewish sovereignty, most of the personal mitzvot are portable. We have deceived ourselves into believing that, precisely because these are portable, their performance outside the Land of Israel pleases God. We have learned to accept this truncated form of Judaism, and we are content.
We are not what we once were. Once we possessed the Aron Brit HaShem (Ark of the Covenant), our holiest relic, which rested on Har HaBayit (Temple Mount), our holiest spot, in Jerusalem, our holiest city. Sometime during the First Temple period, the Aron Brit HaShem disappeared. When we returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian Exile to rebuild the Temple, we accepted without anguish that the Aron was no longer among us. We have learned to live without it, and we are content.
We are not what we once were. Once we possessed Har HaBayit, our holiest spot. When the Romans destroyed the Second Temple they left a portion of its western retaining wall intact. In the millennia that followed, one empire after another took possession of Jerusalem and Har HaBayit. Although we finally have the power to regain possession of Har HaBayit, we have long since transferred our allegiance and our prayers to that retaining wall — the Kotel HaMa’aravi (Western Wall). A gentile people, who hates us and denies the primacy of the God of Israel, now controls Har HaBayit, and we have accepted this without tearing our garments and without putting ash and sackcloth upon ourselves. We have learned to live without it, and we are content.
Those of us who stubbornly remain in the Diaspora have learned to live out our lives and to practice our “Judaism” without Eretz Yisrael, and we are content.
No Aron Brit HaShem, no Har HaBayit, and no Eretz Yisrael.
Sadly, we are not what we once were.
But what, pray tell, are we becoming?”
@ XLucid:
I agree with all of your well stated points. There is nothing worse you can do to piss off a person than to pretend to agree with him only to disagree in the end. Way better is to state your case up front. If anything, any good negotiator knows that one should ask for more than they really want and in the end give in a little bit so you end up with exactly what you want. In Israel’s case, she has been constantly bending backwards so as not to upset her enemies too much which sends a dangerous message to the world as well as a dangerous precedent. The longer they wait to say NO, the harder it will be to finally say it. BTW, this attitude applies not just to Israel (their government and their people) but it equally applies to most Jews and Jewish organizations in the diaspora.

‘Turkey’s ban on Israeli flights could bring down El Al’
CEO Shkedy slams gov’t for failing to tackle ‘unacceptable’ situation in which 112 Turkish airline flights leave Ben Gurion for Turkey each week, compared to zero Israeli flights
More than a month after El Al sent a furious letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu complaining that Turkey was monopolizing the highly lucrative route between Israel and Turkey by banning Israeli airlines, Jerusalem has done nothing to change the outrageous situation, the airline’s CEO told The Times of Israel. Failure to tackle the issue could prove so costly as to bring down El Al, he said.
yamit82 Said:
It is easier and safer to say no earlier, when the refused object is smaller and they have not become addicted to your kowtowing. As time goes on saying no becomes an insult and a major change in the established relationship. The US has become accustomed to a lap dog. Israel keeps giving the impression that it will eat the fish but keeps stalling, thus making it more difficult to say no every time they say yes. a new leadership can shift the paradigm, but is there anyone there?
Israel has no self-confidence or self-respect despite its numerous achievements. The Jewish people still are a fearful people with a ghetto mentality. No I do not see this pattern changing.
The sole and only one to be blamed is the Israeli leadership which is suffering of a self-destructive obsessive compulsive pathology.
The Israeli society should be made aware of this state of affairs by all available means, and an information war should be conducted at all levels.
NO. The pattern will never change as long as the rights of the Jewish People are not reaffirmed, and as long as the necessary measures are not taken to implement the same and, among other things:
1. Abrogate the illegal Oslo Accords which resulted in more than 15,000 Jewish murdered by the terrorists “peace partners”.
2. Evict the Palestinian Authority, the Gaza government and the Wakf authority, and declare all agreements in respect thereof null and void.
3. Declare all pro-arab NGO unlawfull associations, and expel all their members.
4. Apply the Israeli legislation to all the territories of Judea and Samaria, and the East sector of Jerusalem.
5. Elect a new Prime Minister impregnated with Torah and Ahavat Israel values.
6. Dissolve the Supreme Court and prosecute the judges, the Justice Minister and the Defense Minister under the Criminal Code for their crimes perpetrated against the Jewish people resulting from the Oslo Accords.
Israel becoming a major natural gas producer, it is high time to redirect its politics in order to be what it was initial intended to be: a kingdom of priests, a holy nation, proud of its position of a worldwide leader in technology, healthcare and sciences, as well as a worldwide Nobel prizes winner.
@ yamit82:
Yamit,
Netanyahu does not have the backbone to say “NO.”
He is afraid of offending Obama and the Europeans and would do anything not to make waves.
You can only wonder who is the real boss in his marriage. I’m betting its not him.
In the last four years of his tenure, Israel’s political position has all but collapsed and Israel is now completely isolated!
Yup, the Jewish State needs him to hand it more “victories” like those he’s given it thus far.
The time to loudly proclaim “no” is now.
WRITTEN IN 1976 BUT MORE APPLICABLE TODAY THEN WHEN IT WAS FIRST PENNED.
The Talmudic parable of the king, his servant, and the fish. Never was it more apt.
Once there was a king who sent his servant to buy a fish. The servant returned with a fish that stank. In fury the king gave the servant a choice of three punishments: “Eat the fish, get whipped for the fish, or pay for the fish.” In common with most people, the servant chose not to reach into his pocket and he decided to eat the stinking fish but after two bites the stench made him give up and he decided to get whipped for it. The pain of the lashes, however, made him stop that, too, and he cried out, “I will pay for the fish!”
And so the fool ate the fish, got whipped for the fish and, in the end, had to pay for it, anyhow. Those in Israel and without, who refuse to understand that nothing will deter America from demanding that Israel make the maximum concessions, play the same fool. Those who do not understand that there is nothing that Israel can possible do, that there are no compromises it can make, that there is nothing short of full retreat to the 1967 borders that will satisfy the United States-are the same fools as the servant who ate, got whipped and in the end had to pay anyhow,
Their refusal to make the difficult choice of telling the Americans “no”, now, at this moment, will see them making the retreats they hope will avert American anger; it will see this effort fail even as the frontier moves from its present lines within the Arab heartland to new ones close to the Jewish cities; and most important, the Americans will make the same demands they always have envisioned since the days of the Roger Plan-total Israeli withdrawal.
