There are plenty of eco- attitudes and figures to contest here but what is more important on this website is the more the petro-era winds down, the more the Arabs of all stripes have to do some real work and stay at home.
Just think for a moment that if the Arabs can be persuaded to use their sun and deserts for Zaslavsky Towers (qv Technion and IC21)to create power and desalinate water they could turn their coastal belts into agricultural lands to settle and self support their populations peacefully without migrating and getting into religious tantrums and dispensing gratuitous violence.

Thank you for presenting this very interesting video; I know how difficult it can be to advocate a counter-point to popular mainstream politically correct received wisdom.
The “Environment” is one of the most ‘complex’ (or tendentiously-complex) issues facing the World today – much as the Israeli/Arab conflict is (my area of study).
As a scientist, you’ve learned – what most people never do – that to become expert, one must master not one, but two disciplines: the body of facts in the chosen field of study, and valid argumentation.
It is the latter element that most people never really pay adequate attention to, which is unfortunate, because this skill can be re-applied to most any other area of interest/inquiry.
When I listened to your arguments (on a subject I’m sorely poorly informed on), I found them to, by-in-large, hold valid; a most successful achievement, as finding perfection would require also the observer (me) to be perfect.
