The killings of 49 innocent people in a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Friday sent shockwaves through anyone with a heart. To a normal human being it made no difference whether the victims were Muslim, Christian, Jewish, white, brown or polka-dot. But not to the Media!
The liberal Media couldn’t wait to wave its politically correct index finger at the white man’s collective guilt and scream “Islamophobia!”. With victims all Muslim, all MSM needed was a non-Muslim killer. Their hope of erasing more than 31,000 acts of lethal terror by Muslims across the world since 9/11 would certainly be realized by this singular act of derangement, as long as the bad guy was white-skinned.
The Christchurch murderer had to be white, had to be right wing, and most importantly had to have sported a red MAGA hat. Or at least having thought of wearing one. That ultimate carrot of President Trump as the guilty party in far-away New Zealand was never in question, never too far-fetched, and never too beneath their yellow journalism. Mainstream Media punditry salivated and rubbed their hands while spinning this all-too-familiar tale.
Likewise, more than a few religious and political organizations, affiliates and groups couldn’t wait to populate our inbox with emails condemning the horrific murder. Trouble is, most of us are still waiting for their email condemning rockets over Tel Aviv on Thursday! Did my junk folder swallow their condemnation of the colossal failure of the Democratic Party to lay punitive consequences on Congresswoman Omar for her rabid anti-Semitism? Most indigestible was their supine silence over the Nazi-style parade float depicting religious Jews as money-grabbing rats in Belgium, last week.
No doubt, leftists will justify this deafening silence with “But, no one died, 49 Muslims died in Christchurch!”. Fair enough, we understand the “numbers” argument at the lack of any well reasoned rebuttal. So where was their outrage and condemnation of the gruesome killing of 32 Christians last at the hands of Nigerian Islamists last week? A total of 120 dead over the last three weeks! Where were their tears for the unbearable death of a 19-year-old Israeli teenager who endured inhumane rape and torture by a Palestinian Muslim?
For the first time in history New Zealand synagogues shut their doors on Shabbat following the shocking massacre. The Jewish Agency and the New Zealand Jewish Council proclaimed it stands in solidarity with the bereaved families. That’s great and admirable. But why were their doors open for Shabbat observance after Fogel Family murders when babies died in the Itamar attack? Or, after the murder of three Israeli teenagers on June 12th, 2014 when the young boys were kidnapped at a bus stop and brutally executed by Muslim Palestinians? Where was the grievance and cancellation of services for Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Shaer and Eyal Yifrah, ages 16, 16, and 19, respectively?
Amongst 258 terrorist attacks in 2019 so far, (256 of them carried out by Muslims), a suicide bomber stormed and detonated explosives in a luxury complex in Nairobi, Kenya. At least 21 people were killed including a British and an American citizen, 28 others were seriously injured. Strangely my inbox didn’t light up like a Christmas tree with emails condemning their deaths “in strongest possible terms”. Nor did I hear more than a whisper about this in any mainstream media. Perhaps I missed the services cancellation notices from a few Churches and Synagogues pronouncing that they stand in solidary with the bereaved families?
Unless the red MAGA hat can be sewn from the slightest pittance of news-worthy crumbs, the public will not be privy to media’s panic attacks, communal grievances, or calls for gun-control actions.
It isn’t mainstream media’s coaching on our incurable “islamophobia” nor the patronizing for when and how we should shed tears over human tragedy that we require. It’s the hypocrisy of the liberal political agenda and our resulting severe Mediaphobia that we need immediate relief from.
Vivarto,
There is a good reason for many to be pc concerning the Christchurch attack: Speaking the wrong way can land you in gaol, at least in the UK:
@ vivarto:
“A man has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of making a malicious social media post about the attacks that killed 49 people at mosques in New Zealand.
“Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the post was “making reference and support for the terrible events”.”

There is such an obvious assault on free speech here, I won’t comment on the matter.
Concerning your Chinese wife, I am in a situation similar to you: I have children and grandchildren in China. If the NZ attack were against the Chinese minority there, I would have been shocked and concerned; because it would endanger my own family when they travel abroad. As things stand, they are more in danger from Muslims while traveling. In China itself, “pc” is on a whole new level; and I won’t talk about that either.
@ ketzel:
Also: this is a great opportunity for NZ to encourage the rest to go to safer countries in the Ummah. I read that NZ is only 1% Muslim, so of all Western countries, they can save themselves the easiest. But they won’t. Everyone will say “what a tragedy” and import even more to replace the dead occupiers.
Sometimes crazy people are the first who do what needs to be done. The rest of us are too oversocialized to protect ourselves until the crazies show us the way.
I agree with the posters who responded to the 49 shooting victims with a nuanced thoughtful comment. There is another consideration. Islam is not on an equal footing with Christianity and Judaism. Their god is an idol, for whom they will mindlessly give their lives, who stands in the way of making thoughtful choices. Basically, allah has been used to brainwash Muslims to hate and to want to kill. Countless Muslims have been videoed echoing this over and over. And another difference between Islam and Judeo-Christian faith, is the prayer service. I have seen Muslims exiting a mosque after prayers. They were incited, belligerent and ready to fight. Though we can’t understand their prayers, some have translated one part they did understand, which was stating that the Jews and infidels should be killed. As this is in the Koran, and the Islamic prayers come largely from the Koran, it is most likely true. We have seen and heard countless videos in which Muslims repeat these mantras of death to America, death to Israel, kill the Jews etc. etc. Why then do the western media and many liberals respond to this mosque shooting by wringing of hands and crocodile tears, when the prayer service was partly calling for the very deaths of these crying for the mosque victims? I admit, I have no tears for them. We are not told if the victims were African migrants to Australia, but what is the difference? Some of them have caused problems in Australia. Are they innocent or guilty? We are not going to be told this by the media, so we will be left wondering. However, G-d knows.
Dear Vivarto, I think your thoughts echo the feelings of many people worldwide who have witnessed the exponential murders of innocents since 1979, the Iranian Revolution, which was a game-changer. The problem we are faced with in the 21st century is that these Jihadist murderers don’t wear a uniform. And Iran very cleverly has proxies worldwide that are heavily supported and financed to do the bidding of the Mullahs. We’re in a different mindset re how wars should be won. In WWII, our enemy wore a uniform. Whole cities were scorched. Since the Vietnam War, that approach to warfare changed. The ROE are horrific for soldiers who have to stand down on the battlefield. This rampage against Muslims at prayer by a supposed “White Supremacist” is condemned, not because of the violent act, but because of political expediency. Soldiers, civilians, innocents and evil-doers are all lumped together in the 21st century under an umbrella of hypocrisy and political correctness. It’s ultimately the sign of civilization imploding. No right or wrong. Just political agendas.
@ vivarto:
I like the way you think.
Well, I guess according to Valery, I am not a normal human being.
To me it makes a big difference.
If 50 Jew were murdered in a synagogue and another 50 were wounded, I’d feel very sad.
However in this case with 50 Muslims, my reaction is a mixture of feeling some sadness and “fuck them”.
Perhaps Valery is on a much higher level of spiritual or moral development. I don’t know. But I asked my wife, she is Chinese, and she also did not really care about 50 Muslims. Now if 50 were targeted for being Chinese were killed that would have been sad event for her.
So for us less developed people it makes a difference.
Additionally I came to think about Americans bombing Tokyo in 1942 killing innocent civilians there, and creating big celebration in the United States.
Then in 1944 Americans bombed Tokyo again. This time they create a fire storm which killed 105,600 people. Overwhelming majority of them totally innocent. I believe that most Americans felt good about it.
Islam has declared war on America, why shouldn’t Americans rejoice when enemy population is killed?
I support the goals of the idiot madman who did that. I would love to see civilized world cleansed of Muslim invaders. I don’t support the idiot, mostly because his actions will not help in bringing about this goal.
