    The Rabbi And The Flood

    An orthodox rabbi is studying in his living room, when there is a knock on the door. When he opens the door, it is a policeman, who informs him that the rivers are rising, a flood is expected, and evacuation is recommended.
    The rabbi explains, “I am a man of God. I am sure he will protect me from danger.”
    The policeman shrugs his shoulders and leaves.
    As the rabbi is watching the rising water getting closer and closer to his house, there is a second knock, this time a State Trooper.
    The trooper says, “Rabbi, we are evacuating the area as the flood is getting serious and you are in jeopardy.”
    Again the rabbi explains, “I am a man of God. I am sure he will protect me from danger. I am staying.”
    Well, the water continues to rise, until the rabbi is forced to stay on the second floor.
    He hears some yelling and looks up to see two firemen in a rowboat right outside his second floor window. “Rabbi!” one of the firemen calls, “Get in the boat, the rains are not letting up! It’s getting serious.”

    The firemen, fearing for their own safety, row on.
    As the flood rises, the rabbi is forced to climb out onto his roof, just as a helicopter is flying over. The helicopter drops a rope ladder and a voice calls down, “We’re coming to get you, rabbi!”
    “No, no…. God will protect me. You go on.”
    Well, needless to say, the water continues to rise and the rabbi drowns. When he gets to Heaven, he is really upset.
    “I must see God,” says the rabbi. “Please take me to God.” He is granted an audience with God. “Lord,” says the rabbi, “after a lifetime of devotion to you, why would you forsake me in my moment of need?”

    I sometimes agree with Max and sometimes not and I can’t honestly say I understand much of his rants but I like Max and find many of his rants amusing even the ones I don’t understand.

    I always agree with Honey Bee and find her wise as well as at times funny and endearing.

    Both Max and HB, to my mind have very positive attributes unlike yourself and dean.

    I have long concluded that neither of you have any positive attributes. Neither of you are amusing or endearing and certainly not wise. 🙂

    I laugh at self-deprecating humor but the Hollywood elites have made a habit out of avoiding ridicule of Islam and they have made an industry out of ridiculing Jews and Israel. Popular culture mocks Israel and Jews with impunity. The media make caricatures out of Muslims – have a look at the CBC’s Little Mosque on the Prairie. These stereotypes, whether positive or negative become barriers to understanding the reality and so recent generations view life through the rose colored lenses of the leftist elites. If you like the way Israel is portrayed in the media and it is all a big joke to you then laugh your little brains out all the way to sharia and jihad in America.

  30. I don’t know….just never liked Larry David, and I think I’ve got a good sense of humor.

    I found that show Curb Your Enthusiasm, or whatever the name is, rather self-indulgent and not all that funny. I thought the character was rather obnoxious. Beautiful house in California, but no visible means of support, no job, no profession, no purpose in life. I could never identify with it, although I never watched many episodes.

    I was never a big Seinfeld fan–althugh I did find the Soup Nazi kind of funny– mainly for the same reasons. Dunderheads with no visible means of support (in many cases) living a rather troublefree life of low-level luxury. The biggest problems anybody had on Seinfeld would be minor inconveniences to many who live paycheck to paycheck, struggle to keep food on the table, have major medical or other problems, etc.

    Jerry Seinfeld did say once, though, that his show was popular in Israel and hated in Germany.

    It is not ironic being that close to the truth – Jews being seduced by Islam and sympathizing with their causes in America. Irony would be showing the Jews “shilling for Palestinians” as idiots, not sympathetic characters who are open-minded progressives while their yarlmake-wearing Jewish friend is booed and derided and, in the end, never vindicated.

    This is an exercise in moral relativism as well but instead of being portrayed as equals which would be unfair and in keeping with moral relativism, it goes one step further by showing the Muslims as progressives, something that is so far from the truth because, as we know, there is no such liberalism in any Islamic communities.

    Americans seem to identify and sympathize with the fictitious Islamic whore, but they can’t seem to identify with the Jew and Israel.

    The problem is that Larry David and other big name Hollywood types must be confronted because although some of us delve into these matters on a weekly or daily basis, most Jews take no interest at all in politics, put blinders on and the only TV they watch is junk like this and CNN.     There is no irony in this piece of crap. Where do you see humor in this? Who comes out looking good and who comes out looking bad? Who is on top? The comedian is sympathetic to the Muslims who appear open minded – the Jews are denigrated and made to seem parochial once again.

    This is disturbing on so many levels that it is sickening. Besides its failure as humor, it shows exactly how low some Jews will will go to reveal their ignorance, lack of understanding, emptiness, dislocation and disconnectedness from their religion and from reality.

    The truth is that hedonism, socialism, consumerism and cowardice has replaced Judaism for many. The truth is that many Jews would rip the guts out of their own people to impress their enemies. Larry David thinks that that behavior is somehow funny. The truth is that some Jews would sleep (physically and emotionally) with the enemy. The truth is that many (the Toronto Board of Rabbis are a prime example) would rip the yarmulkes off their brothers to satisfy the Jew hate of the Islamic and Christian communities. The truth is that quite a few in the Jewish community, given a choice, would side with the Islamic protestors against the Jewish protestors and they need very little persuasion to do so.

    It is one thing for Jews in Hollywood or anywhere else to not live religious lives but it is another level of evil to make a crappy video showing off how debauched and evil one is and how low a person will go. There is no feeling in Larry David for his own people. Judaism to him is something that is good provided it is popular, serves his business interests and position in society but when it becomes a target that requires defending, he will gladly abandon it altogether, sell out his friends and sleep with anyone: dog, boy, girl or whore – even whores who wants death to Jews.

    Larry David is the enemy within and although he brands himself a comedian, he is really a kapo who will sell out anyone for a dollar, shit on his friends and join the others in their propaganda rage against Israel. Larry, you are not funny, you are a prick!
