It is necessary to point out that all of these theories of a globalist conspiracy to rule the world have this political-cultural origins in nineteenth century far-right propaganda about a supposed Jewishconspiracy to rule the world. The “Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion” is the most “successfull,” although hardly the only, example of this propaganda genre.
I am not saying that this speaker is an antisemite. Many contemporary people who promote theories of a “globalist” conspiracy to rule the world are not antisemitic. But some of them are, and many of the people who listen to and believe in these conspiracy theories are antisemites. Jews need to keep this in mind and be cautious about pushing the globalist conspiracy theories.
I am sure there are lots of people out there who would love the rule the world, and who may even be conspiring to find a way to do this. But they are divided into hundreds of factions based on differences of nationality, religion (meaning the radical Islamists), political agendas, and simply rival ambitions for power or wealth (for example, Al-Qaeda-vs. IS). They will never all get together to rule the world. The realistic danger is not world government, which is extremely unlikely to come about, but constant fighting among the 190 sovereign nations and hundreds, if not thousands, of armed “not state actors,” constantly fighting with each other in constantly shifting alliances, creating chaos as in Syria.
