I agree. Let’s take it a step further. I am sickened by the term,”hate speech, and almost bile comes up my esophagus, with,”hate crime!” In my mind NEITHER exists! Sure there is speech, MOTIVATED by hate, and there are crimes MOTIVATED by hate, but there is not there should be HATE crimes nor speech!!!!!

I’ve never seen more newly-coined adjectives bandied about. People, it seems, are no longer “Christian”, “Jewish”, etc. Now, they have to describe themselves as “Nationalist Populist Traditionalist”.
I don’t buy it. If people have to resort to Newspeak to describe reality, then I think they’re out of touch with reality. I first saw this coming, when the “Right” started being labeled “Red”, and Communists in the freshly-collapsed USSR were being called “conservatives”.
Even the word “Newspeak”, familiar only to aficionados of George Orwell, is probably too trendy. The old-fashioned, time-tested word is “lies”. As the late Dr. J. Vernon McGee used to say, “The ‘New Morality’ is nothing more than the ‘Old Immorality'”.
Recent election victories across the globe can be explained as follows: People have been fed lies by evil men, who are motivated by pride and greed, and the masses have lost patience with them. Is that new? No. The only thing new, is information technology accelerating things. Slow down the movie projector, and you will find that the time is the Third Millennium BCE, and we are living in Sodom and Gomorrah. The names have been changed, to protect the guilty. As Solomon said,
“There is nothing new under the sun”.
A day of reckoning came to Sodom and Gomorrah; and a day of reckoning is coming to the politicians, professors, and other “masters of the universe”. Welcome to the past.
