The Horrific Reality of the Ukrainian Government

1. Written in Turkey 1933 by Trotsky

   “Naive minds think that the office of kingship lodges in the king himself, in his ermine cloak and his crown, in his flesh and bones. As a matter of fact, the office of kingship is an interrelation between people.

   The king is king only because the interests and prejudices of millions of people are refracted through his person. When the flood of development sweeps away these interrelations, then the king appears to be only a washed-out man with a flabby lower lip.

   He who was once called Alfonso XIII could discourse upon this from fresh impressions. [1]

   The leader by will of the people differs from the leader by will of God in that the former is compelled to clear the road for himself or, at any rate, to assist the conjuncture of events in discovering him.

   Nevertheless, the leader is always a relation between people, the individual supply to meet the collective demand. The controversy over Hitler’s personality becomes the sharper the more the secret of his success is sought in himself.

   In the meantime, another political figure would be difficult to find that is in the same measure the focus of anonymous historic forces. Not every exasperated petty bourgeois could have become Hitler, but a particle of Hitler is lodged in every exasperated petty bourgeois.”

   The above can easily be applied to Zelensky not to Hitler who Trotsky had in mind in 1933. Zelensky who has become very suddenly the focus and love in the heart of every petit bourgeois from Galway to Chicago.

   It seems that the historical hatreds of the Russian Revolution of 1917 have been concentrating themselves in this Zelensky and the Fascist movement in Ukraine

   This is a movement which has a history but there is a very deep avoidance of that history. And that’s the point. There’s no mention of that very writ large history – the awful Pogroms of 1918 in Ukraine, no mention of the Holocaust in Ukraine, in which this present movement led in, and side by side with, then Nazi Germany.

   In the midst of climate breakdown from which capitalism tied humanity will find it impossible to come out of, which spells out destruction on a level to be feared – this in Ukraine today and IS Fascist Happening once again.

   It is the same kind of lying about history, the same hatred of a people (the Russians), the same Nazification of their leader legally elected (Putin). The signs of mass hypnosis is obvious. It is Fascism. Even the line of succession Hitler through Azov to Zelensky shouts to us. Their total lying nexus.

   This Is the Fascism, the methods of thought and practice, which the historical body of man’s practice, contained in capitalism, to meet it’s historical human breakdown crisis, Global Warming. This is the end unless we can find our way to social revolution.
