BREAKING: The Gordian Knot Between the Supreme Court, the New Israel Fund, USAID, and Kaplan – Exposed

After the revelation by @Cmt007075 (which received a response from Elon Musk) that Larry Garber, former CEO of the New Israel Fund, was a senior official at USAID for years, the circle has been closed: Larry Garber forged an alliance with the Supreme Court. Here are the full details (some of which appear in the attached video):

1. The Meeting Between the Supreme Court President and the New Israel Fund

On September 17, 2007, then-Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch met in her office with the leadership of the New Israel Fund and the leadership of the Ford Foundation (which has been accused of antisemitism). According to the foundation’s website, the agenda included a massive funding deal—$20,000,000 (!!) from the Ford Foundation to the New Israel Fund.

This was part of a five-year program that began in 2003. At the meeting, it was decided to extend the program for another five years (2008–2013), during which the Ford Foundation provided an additional $20 million. This amount constituted approximately one-third (!) of the donations received by the New Israel Fund during those years.

It is no surprise, then, that the photo attached to the foundation’s website shows great joy on the faces of the meeting’s participants:

  • From the Ford Foundation: Susan Berresford (President), David Chiel (Vice President), and Aharon Barak (Ford Foundation representative in Israel).
  • From the New Israel Fund: Then-President Larry Garber (yes, the same one from USAID), CEO Eliezer Yaari, and Vice President Neta Ziv.

It is worth noting that according to the Code of Judicial Ethics, which Beinisch herself established, she was prohibited from engaging in fundraising, even outside her office. Furthermore, Beinisch also presided over petitions submitted by organizations funded by the New Israel Fund. Moreover, it has been claimed that the foundation used this photo as proof of its supposed “apolitical” nature (which grants tax-exempt status in the U.S., amounting to millions of dollars per year).

2. The Scandal and Its Aftermath

Once the scandal broke, the page was, of course, deleted from the foundation’s website. The Supreme Court’s spokesperson issued a statement:

“It should be made absolutely clear that Supreme Court President Justice Dorit Beinisch did not participate in any event of the New Israel Fund. Visits by various organizations to the Supreme Court occur regardless of political affiliation.”

Implicitly, the goal was to frame the event as a tour of the Supreme Court by foundation leaders rather than a fundraising-related event. However, the foundation’s website (as shown in the attached video) explicitly called the meeting a ‘Presidential Summit’ and stated:

“Today, the Ford Foundation announced an additional $20 million grant to continue its partnership with the New Israel Fund.”

3. The Supreme Court and the New Israel Fund’s Shared Agenda

In its 2002 annual report, the New Israel Fund dedicated its cover page to the Supreme Court under Aharon Barak, stating:

“No institution in Israel protects the heart and soul of our country more than the Supreme Court.”

Thanks to Supreme Court rulings on petitions filed by lawyers from organizations supported by the foundation:

  • Arab politicians were not disqualified from the last elections
  • The court ruled that the state must recognize conversions performed by Conservative and Reform rabbis and register these individuals as Jews in the population registry
  • The court limited the use of Palestinian civilians as human shields (a euphemism for the ruling that banned the ‘Neighbor Procedure,’ thereby endangering IDF soldiers)

In 2009, under Beinisch’s leadership, the Supreme Court approved Arab political party lists to participate in elections, contrary to the decision of the Central Elections Committee.

The New Israel Fund publicly thanked Beinisch, stating:

“Beinisch saved democracy in Israel with her ruling.”

It should be noted that one of the justifications for the Central Elections Committee’s decision was the revelation that Azmi Bishara, founder of Balad, had spied for an enemy state!

To illustrate: Had the Supreme Court fulfilled its duty and prevented terror supporters from running for the Knesset, one of two things would have happened:

  1. The right-wing bloc would have had around 70 seats as early as 2002, increasing the right-wing majority to 80 or more seats today.
  2. The Arab community would have been forced to field only moderate candidates, which would have shifted the entire orientation of Israel’s Arab society.

Thus, democracy was stolen from us through judicial gangsterism.

4. A Two-Way Relationship: The Supreme Court’s ‘Gratitude’

This connection is not one-sided. It is a mutual relationship: While the New Israel Fund expressed its gratitude toward the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court, in turn, acknowledged the foundation’s contribution.

Former Supreme Court Justice Yitzhak Zamir wrote in recognition of the foundation’s efforts to strengthen the court and create public legitimacy for it.

It should be noted that Zamir was not just another judge. He retired from the Supreme Court just a few months earlier and was Aharon Barak’s right-hand man on nearly all public issues Barak dealt with (as elaborated in a response to a tweet). Another key figure considered Barak’s political enforcer was, in fact, Dorit Beinisch—as mentioned at the start of this post…

Before expressing surprise, let’s recall:

  • Beinisch’s daughter is one of the founders of “Brothers in Arms” (Achiim LaNeshek)
  • Dorit Beinisch publicly defended the protesters who fired flares at the Prime Minister’s residence and even compared the government to the Nazi regime (!)
  • She personally participated in protests against the judicial reform
  • Beinisch is a board member at INSS
  • Her close associate, former Supreme Court President Asher Grunis, recently called for refusal to serve in the IDF (!!)
  • Zamir himself chaired the selection committee of the Wexner Foundation, which awarded a scholarship to Uzi Fogelman, then a young law student, in its very first cohort

Thus, we have uncovered the web of connections uniting all left-wing institutions under one umbrella.

5. The Long-Standing ‘Gordian Knot’

This Gordian Knot between elements of the Supreme Court and the New Israel Fund has persisted across all periods and across the board—even to this day.

To avoid overwhelming this post, I will provide additional disturbing (and possibly shocking) examples in a follow-up post, as a reply to this one.
