The Attempt to Overthrow America

by Guy Millière, GATESTONE INSTITUTE

The wave of riots that has followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25 appears to have nothing to do with Floyd’s death and everything to do with groups seeking to overthrow America. Mayors of many cities and other local officials have deliberately protected criminals over law-abiding citizens and allowed the destruction to take place. • The situation had become “worrying,” in fact, even before the results of the 2016 presidential election were known. As we now can read in the Department of Justice report by Michael Horowitz, the senior levels of government during the Obama Administration were colluding to prevent President Trump from winning the election, and then, after it, to frame him in an attempted coup d’état.
  • Mayors of many cities and other local officials have deliberately protected criminals over law-abiding citizens and allowed the destruction to take place.

  • “I thought things were partisan and tough 30 years ago — nothing compared to today. Things have fundamentally changed… [the left] represents a revolutionary Rousseauian party that believes in tearing down the system… They’re interested in complete political victory. They’re not interested in compromise. They’re not interested in dialectic, exchange of views… It’s a substitute religion. They view their political opponents… as evil because we stand in the way of their progressive utopia that they’re trying to reach…” — US Attorney General William Barr, Fox News, August 9, 2020.
  • “Today our nation is facing the most serious threat to establish such a tyranny in our entire history.” — David Horowitz, Frontpage Mag, August 10, 2020.

The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020 might appear, looking back, as a pretext for mayhem. His reported killing by a white police officer was immediately followed by a wave of riots during which neighborhoods in several major cities were devastated. Stores were looted, buildings were burned and people were murdered as mayors and other local public officials chose to let the rioters run wild, whip up racial conflict and protect the criminals rather than the citizens being brutalized. The riots quickly appeared to have nothing to do with Floyd’s death and everything to do with groups seeking to overthrow America.

In the past, members of the radical organization Antifa had committed acts of violence, but never before had been able to sow terror throughout major cities. This time, they could and they did.

In addition, the Marxist movement Black Lives Matter (BLM), which seemed to have disappeared since the election of President Donald J. Trump — who, incidentally, did more for the black and Hispanic minority communities in three years than anyone had done for decades — suddenly reappeared, well-funded and well-organized, at the heart of the riots. BLM received further support from the mayors of several major cities and gained even more popularity while attacking first the statues of former slave-owners, such as George Washington, and then those of the escaped slave and abolitionist Frederick Douglass. In Washington, DC and New York City, “Black Lives Matter” was painted on avenues in huge yellow letters – in New York by the mayor himself.

This may have been the first time in US history that a Marxist movement received corporate support: Amazon, Microsoft, Nabisco, Gatorade, Deckers and other large American firms donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, now a major beneficiary of US corporate largesse. Many colleges and universities also joined in backing the movement. The trustees of Princeton University decided to remove Woodrow Wilson’s name from the university’s school of public policy. They said that they had examined the “long and damaging history of racism in America” and that Wilson’s “racist thinking and policies make him an inappropriate namesake for a school or college”. Calls to “#CancelYale” surged across social media, alleging that Yale’s namesake, Elihu Yale, was a slave-owner and slave-trader, and that the university must change its name, as well. Yale University President, Peter Salovey, however, said that would not be done, explaining that Yale was “relatively unexceptional in his own time.”

Also for the first time, mayors of many cities and other local officials have deliberately protected criminals over law-abiding citizens and allowed the destruction to take place. Seattle’s Mayor Jenny Durkan abandoned an entire area of ??the city, dubbed CHAZ (and later CHOP) to rioters and suggested that the police-free zone would create a “summer of love“, then did nothing while rapesvandalism and murders took place. Portland’s Mayor Ted Wheeler has allowed for nearly three months an entire district fall prey to rioters. The city councils of New York and Los Angeles, America’s two largest cities, voted to cut the budgets of their police forces drastically. The Minneapolis City Council went even further and voted to disband the city’s police force altogether.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, in a seeming surrender to the mob, began referring to the pandemonium in Portland as the “immense power of peaceful protests” and compared federal law enforcement officers trying to defend a federal building against marauding arsonists to Nazi-era “stormtroopers.”

Former President Barack Obama, speaking at the funeral of a civil rights leader, Congressman John Lewis, compared President Trump to the segregationist governor of Alabama in the 1960s, George Wallace — who happened to be a Democrat. He spoke of “police officers kneeling on the necks of Black Americans,” distorting the facts. In Minneapolis, a single policeman had knelt on the neck of a single black American, once. The police officer is in jail, awaiting trial, and his abuse has been severely and universally condemned.

The idea that the American police are “racist” has been used to justify riots and destruction. Some police officers may well be racist, but accusing all American police officers of racism does not align with the facts. Statistics show that the vast majority of black people killed by police officers are armed and dangerous. Moreover, the police officers involved are sometimes black. Statistics also show that, on average, 94% of the black people killed each year in the US are killed by other black people. But many people who talk about racism do not seem even slightly concerned about those black lives that have been taken. During the riots — in which people were killed by rioters or by looters who used the riots as cover — the main victims were black people, sometimes children.

  1. @ Reader:

I can think of another one, “Bram Koker”, who wrote Kracula. It was medically oriented and involved early experiments in blood transfusion systems.

As for the rest of your post, I was one of those who thought that here was a strong posssibility that atom bombs could be flying any time.. And I was not alone. There were 200 million Americans of the same mind, as well as all of Europe, resulting in the creation of NATO and other defensive measures.

Even our stalwart servint uf de lawd dug a 100 foot hole in his garden for the same purpose….as did many others.

During WW2 my family had a Nissen hut air raid shelter, dugout in our garden, after have had our house destroyed and us blown out of bed by bombs..And I lived in a “neutral” country.

So NO the concept and actions of those people were sensible , not the opposite, as you imply.

  2. @ Bear Klein:
Hi, Bear. Thank you for staying on topic. I’m glad you could make some sense of my poorly-structured sentences.

Concerning Reader, I wouldn’t call him a “loser”. Edgar G. has done a good job, I think, of addressing some of his poorly-digested views. I don’t know if he’s poor, or merely idealistic. We’re all works in progress.

Concerning the BLM/ Antifa “losers”, they might include my son, and do include the son of a close friend. The last time my son and I got together, well over a year ago, we actually took an online quiz to see how our political views lined up. We were on opposite ends of the scale; and I made the comment that between the two of us, we averaged out at “moderate”.

Here is some news about the political (and religious) situation here in the Northwest, which I see has become the BLM/Antifa capital of America:

“The same city that allowed anarchists to take over its downtown for weeks and is playing host to anti-Trump protests over Labor Day weekend has slammed the door on a Christian event using a city park.

“Seattle’s Department of Parks and Recreation on Friday issued a sudden order to close Gas Works Park, which had been picked by Sean Feucht Ministries as the site of a Labor Day worship rally.”

Also this week, in our neighbor to the south,

“Marchers in Oakland, Calif., chanted “death to America,” a slogan that was also heard in Kenosha, Wis., last week and was popularized by the Iranian revolutionary leader Ayatollah Khomeini.”

The Portland protests have attracted a large number of witches:

  3. @ Edgar G.:

Sorry about typo. “sig” of course should be “dig” and “it was” should be “they were”.

And some of that 1/2 ton you hoarded would have come in handy then. Get Zeke to create a miracle and get a holy pat on your stalwart shoulder…..!!

  4. @ Michael S:

Maybe it was just a typo which he overlooked, and really meant “pasty” as in “pasty face”…which may eventuate when the blood migrates from the face to strengthen the knees, of those are perpetually on their knees, praying to the the Egyptian Sun god,and carefully cultivating horn kneecaps to demonstrate their “piety”..

Considering a different possibility, perhaps he misspelled, and the “p” should have been a “b”, with the rest of the word a bit disarranged-like….say, an “o’ instead of an “a’ …and so on and so forth…

Forgot to tell you that they discovered when excavating Quamran around the time jesus was there, they found several of the little holes that they were given small spades to sig, when the urge came on them… Miraculous of course. it was still radio-active.

  5. @ Michael S:

I very sincerely THANK Our Creator for your last sentence. Reading through your encomiums, I was getting worried. Until reading that, I thought that it might be one of those “miracles” or old Zekie’s prophesies you are always spouting about, or, a scenario with you as Yael and me as Sisera, and was wondering when and where the spike would enter.

Or….maybe…just maybe…you had actually returned to taking your meds, and were rational..”for the moment”.. I can think of no other reason for you to be able to talk sense.

Never mind, old broad shouldered saviour….”All contributions gratefully received”.

  6. We have people on this forum (one of them with the initials “BK”) who can neither read nor think but they sure can spout off a bunch of cliches they learned as children sitting under the desks in their schoolrooms hiding from the imaginary Soviet bombardment.
They also feel free to insult anybody whose posts they don’t understand and wouldn’t understand even if they tried REALLY, REALLY HARD.
I heartily wish them a few nice, big doses of the “Whirlwind” vaccine created by Bill Gates, the great “free market” (which has never existed) competitor, while they scream “Give me more!!!”

  7. @ Michael S:
I find mostly losers who want to blame others for their inability to compete in a free market system blame the rich and want income redistribution. They frame this attempt to legalize theft as Robin Hood type theory. Also those who want to rise to power on the back of others use the naive appeal of socialism to draw in followers.

Venezuela is the recent most disaster of a country that undertook socialism/communism as they guide to ruin. They stole from those that had money until there was no more money, food or medicine.

We have a resident loser on this site who blames rich people for his poverty. Just like the BLM/Antifa losers are doing.

  8. @ yamit82:
Yamit, I just noticed that you called me a “pastor”. As in just about everything, you have read me completely wrong. That said, you are in a different league from Edgar, who has no idea what his religion is about.,

  9. @ Edgar G.:
Edgar, I can scarcely believe this! I actually agree with everything you said to reader in these latest posts, especially

“People are dying , even the elderly are dying before their time. This virus is what pushes morbidly ill people over into the chasm. Without it, they would have several more years of life.”

Reader seems obsessed with the “Super-Rich vs. Oppressed” narrative that the Marcusians at Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Occupy, etc. and their manipulators have been pushing for some time (and the Marxists before them). Interestingly, this puts him in the same league with some Trump supporters who are convinced the COVID “pandemic” ought to be completely ignored. The trouble with this extreme thinking, is that it reduces the likes of you and me to mere statistics.

The fact that the virus “only” affects old fogies like me with pre-existing conditions who would “die anyway” does not help my wife and I one bit. Nor can we take solace that the Rockefellers and Rothschilds have somehow oppressed us (They haven’t) make me want to accept the rioters and the Democrats promoting them, and want me to submit to a tryrranical Harris-Biden presidency.

All that said, I am happy to say that you and I have very little else in common.

  10. @ Reader:

I am closing this conversation with you because it’s going from the macabre to the 4th dimension…maybe the 5th. Later, when you get off this “kick” we’ll find something that we can discuss rationally, LOGICALLY, and with more commonsense, and less wild thrashing around. Disappointing….!!

No i don’t know any Rockefellers, but I had a very good friend, one of the Guinness family, whose sister married a Rothschild. He was the only stratospheric denizen in my small collection of very rich people., Not that it made any difference, we both chased girls, and drank Guinness, not Curvoisier. (although later, in Israel I had a very fine collection of old brandies and other eclectic beverages)….

  11. @ Edgar G.:
    1) Just because I am not frightened by the virus doesn’t mean no one else is;
    2) a lot of people (especially the elderly) are frightened not only by the virus but by the ongoing violence in big cities, of the extreme political polarization of the American society, by the state of the economy, uncertain future, etc.
    3) People are ALWAYS dying, especially the elderly, and in much larger numbers than from COVID-19 but all the lights have been trained, and the strict measures directed ONLY on COVID-19 in complete disregard of the facts or human lives, or even, it seems, with the aim to obtain even MORE “cases” than would be normal if they didn’t interfere;
    4) Go back and check all my posts – so far I’ve been proven RIGHT 100% of the time;
    5) “very rich people” I am not talking about your “millionaire next door” types, I am talking about the likes of the Rockefellers who are, to the best of my knowledge, multiTRILLIONAIRES (that’s why they don’t show up on the richest people lists and not because, as some think, they lost their fortune).
Have you met any likes of the Rockefellers personally? Were they really nice people?
    6) Only psychotics can think that they are gods who are entitled to manipulate the population of the whole Earth at will just because they decided that this population is breeding too much and it’s time to cull them like fish or cattle on their own farm (AND to make trillions of $$ on dangerous vaccines at the same time).

  12. @ Reader:

“Frightened”…are YOU frightened???…”Psychotic”…Name them… You are very dogmatic, more than emphatic.. The facts are before you. People are dying , even the elderly are dying before their time. This virus is what pushes morbidly ill people over into the chasm. Without it, they would have several more years of life.

One thing in your post, that you say is, in my opinion correct, (as are many things in other posts-but also, you’re often wrong and won’t admit it)

Very rich people are, on the whole, unscrupulous, so you are quite right in THAT, but again, “psychotic”…not as a rule, I believe. I have personal knowledge of some very rich people, who were otherwise perfectly normal. Is Naftali Bennett psychotic…?? NO.!

This is a fault I find….. you become so enthusiastic and “emphatic” that you make wild, blanket statements, which just cannot be accurate. I’m not criticising, I have many faults myself, but just making an observation, as I said earlier.

  13. @ Edgar G.:
I am emphatic because I am fully convinced that THIS TIME, at least, it’s a completely man-made scare which I am too disgusted to discuss.
We are being frightened into submission by a few extremely rich and unscrupulous people who are also, most likely, psychotic.
Of course, everyone is free (in a very limited way) to do whatever s/he wants as a reaction to what is happening.

  14. @ Reader:

It’s O.K. I don’t have any anxiety. I’ve never ever had a flu shot and NO injections at all since I was a kid. I hate them and all the pandemics and epidemics whic killed hundreds of thousands over the years have passed me by.

As for the Oxygen test I mentioned it would not be useless at all The major scare right now is that virus which attacks the oxygen in red blood cells. So any oxygen shortage at this point and whilst the pandemic is around is far more likely to be caused wholly or mostly by the virus. An oxymeter is very cheap so why not.

I’m not so POSITIVE, like you, nor am I speculating, but using logic. You are far too emphatic in your use of words…like “useless”. It’s not meant as criticism but as an observation.

  15. @ Edgar G.:
The problem is, this test will be meaningless because the oxygen content of you blood can be affected by things other than coronavirus.
I think you will be just deepening your anxiety about getting infected and giving yourself more things to worry about.
Of course, if it makes you feel better, go ahead and buy it.
The only protection from any virus is washing your hands and not touching your face, eyes, and, probably, ears before you wash your hands.
It’s a tiny piece of a molecule, there is no way to avoid it, it has to infect most of the society before it stops and it mutates constantly.
We have as much control of when, how, and where we die as of when, how, and where we are born.
We just have to hope and pray that next time they won’t release something a lot more deadly.
AND tht they don’t make that miserable RNA vaccine mandatory.

  16. Michael S Said:

There’s a vast difference between being “in the bosom of God” and being God.

““‘Very truly I tell you,’ Jesus answered, ‘before [the Hebrew Patriarch] Abraham was born, I am!’” (John 8:58)”

I haven’t found Christian who can tell me with a straight face that he understands that verse. I certainly don’t understand it, and neither do you. At any rate, it says nothing about Jesus being God.

    ANSWERS TO A PASTOR

You need a great deal more than you think you (Yamit) do. Jesus is not “super-” natural. He is and was VERY natural, and you’d better believe it or you are antichrist:

    You betcha I am anti-christ 😉Michael S Said:

    2John.1
[7] For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

“The Entire Word that I command you: that shall you observe to do; you shall not add to it and you shall not subtract from it. If there should stand up in your midst a prophet or a dreamer of a dream, and he will produce to you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes about, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us follow gods of others that you did not know, and we shall worship them’ — do not hearken to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of a dream; for, HaShem, your God, is testing you to know whether you love HaShem, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul. HaShem, your God, shall you follow, and Him shall you fear; His Commandments shall you observe, and to His Voice shall you hearken; Him shall you serve, and to Him shall you cleave.” (Deuteronomy 13:1-5)

    Brief Bible

    More Brief…

  17. @ Reader:

I recall something of that. I’m not worrying, I just think that with all the masking, respirators, gloves, distancing, lockdowns, etc, a simple little test like oxygen content of blood cells makes mucho senso.. And they cost very little and readily available.

  18. @ Edgar G.:
There was an article by 2 Chinese scientists in the beginning of this debacle who claimed that the virus actually causes major oxygen starvation but it was dismissed here as a mere “model”.
You can get an oxymeter, just remember that your oxygen levels will fluctuate naturally day-to-day and even throughout the day.
I wouldn’t worry about it, personally.
