British Prime Minister Theresa May personally blocked asylum for alleged blasphemer Asia Bibi. Convicted of blasphemy, she was subsequently acquitted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, after having been incarcerated for eight years. Upon her release, she went into hiding from the angry mobs that are looking for her.
The Prime Minister did that, despite the objections of her Home Secretary Sajid Javid, for fear of arousing the anger of the Muslims at home and abroad.
This is the same Primer Minister who just this month, signed the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GC), commonly referred to as U.N’s global refugee plan, pursuant to which the signatory countries will take in refugees and migrants, who are expected to originate mostly from the Middle East and the sub-Saharan Africa.
Nor did Germany, France, Sweden or any other country in the E.U who also signed the GC, offer refuge to Bibi, more likely than not, out of the same kind of fear that bedevilled Theresa May.
Pope Francis recently likened [Muslim] migrants trying to get into Europe to Jesus when he twitted: “Jesus knows well the pain of not being welcomed. May our hearts not be closed as were the houses in Bethlehem.”
If there is any one person seeking refuge who fits the analogy with Jesus is Bibi.
Yet, of all people, his Holiness, the Vicar of the Son of God, no less, closed his heart to her.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, dismissed Bibi’s plight as “an internal matter to Pakistan”. This was followed by the repulsive cynical statement: “I hope it can be resolved in the best way…I do not know how it will end, there have been many reactions…The question is not simple, it is very complex and delicate. Always we hope that it ends in the best way.”
And what about my homeland, Canada also a signatory of the GC? Our globalist Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has a team of three of loyal Ministers, headed by Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship to lead the charge to protect and find solutions for refugees under the GC.
In the meantime, how about offering protection and asylum to Asia Bibi? Not a word.
As is his wont, the Prime Minister does not want to upset a particular segment of a particular electoral constituency.
And in the meantime, what about the Christians in third world countries in Africa, south East Asia and in the Middle East who have been killed , maimed, raped, robbed, had their churches destroyed, and continue to be victimised in the same manner?
Should not the Western countries, including Canada, whose populations are overwhelming Christian and live by Judeo-Christians values, focus on the safety of the persecuted fellow Christians and arrange their rescue and transportation to their respective countries?
Nah! As President Obama once answered a similar question put to him during a press conference: “We are not that kind of people!
In the meantime, I submit that the very same Western countries and political leaders who champion the GC are accomplices to religious persecution and genocide of Christians, just as Germany, through a Minister of the government, admitted not long ago, to have also been an accomplice of the Ottoman government in the Armenian genocide committed during World War I.
I believe that history will judge these globalist cowardly hypocrites very harshly. They will richly deserve it.
