Significant retaliation is necessary. It should include the destruction of Iran’s port infrastructure so that Iran cannot export oil and make any more money from oil exports, I believe Israel should also destroy Iran’s water infrasructure be destroying the countries, dams, Canals and water pipelines. I realize that will be cruel. But cruelty is sometimes the only way to win a war. Once Iran surrendered or a non-Islamist government took power-which I think would be very likely following a targeted attack on Iranian infrastructure–Israel could send in teams of agricultural and industrial experts to help repair Iran ‘s infrastructure and get it up and running again
There are many indications that the Islamist regime has beecome very unpopular in the last few years. Widespread demonstrations all over Iran, especially of women, demanding the fall of the regime. If Americ and Western Europe had supported the anti-regime demonstrations and had provided money to sustain the revolt, I think the regime would have fullen months, maybe even years ago, But the Western countries failed to come to the aid of peaceful resistance to the mullocracy. For some reason, they preferred and still prefer to deal with the Islamist regime. Be that as it may, if Israel destroyed Iran’s vital infrastructure, I believe Iran’s regular armey, which still exists even though the regime has favored its separate army of Revolutionary Guards, would stage a coup, poverthrow the Guards and the Mullahs, and return power to moderate Iranian politicians. That is my opinion as to what would happen if Israel targets Iran’s vital infrastructure and destroys it, It would certainly be a bif gamble, but I think it would be worth a try.
