T. Belman. Not to worry. He means Jordan should be the Palestinian state. otherwise he would have called for the Two-State Solution.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister: True normalization and true stability will only come through giving the Palestinians a state.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, said on Thursday that an agreement to create a Palestinian state would be a precondition for his country to establish formal diplomatic ties with Israel.
Speaking to Bloomberg TV from Davos, Switzerland, Prince Faisal said, “We have said consistently that we believe normalization with Israel is something that is very much in the interest of the region.”
“However,” he added, “true normalization and true stability will only come through giving the Palestinians hope, through giving the Palestinians dignity.”
“That requires giving the Palestinians a state, and that’s the priority,” stressed the top Saudi diplomat.
Neighbors of the kingdom, including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, formalized relationships with Israel in 2020 under the US-brokered Abraham Accords.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made clear that his goal is to achieve a peace agreement with Saudi Arabia that would “effectively end the Arab-Israeli conflict.”

However, Saudi officials have repeatedly said that a Palestinian state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital is a prerequisite for Saudi Arabia normalizing ties with Israel, and Prince Faisal’s comments on Thursday are in line with that.
On Wednesday, in remarks at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prince Faisal urged Israel’s new government to engage seriously on resolving the conflict with the Palestinian Authority.
@David.
I checked out the link in the last paragraph and the article included
I checked out that link also and it said no such thing. Once again the title and the sub title were misleading. The article provided no quote in confirmation.
@David
Your penultimate paragraph:
I checked out the link (Nov 1, 2021) and can confirm, it said no such thing, not even close.
Also the subtitle makes mention of a Palestinian state but it is, in no way, supported by the article.
@David Singer
So everyone has it wrong but you it seems, at least according to you, yourself. Reality is a hard thing to grasp for some, and it seems you, yourself, might be included in such a grouping.
Even if the Pals would support being subjugated to the anti-Pal Hashemites as you suggest, for which there exists no rational context which would support them doing so, the united front of the Hashemites-Palestinians under the tutelage of the anti-Israel Hashemite kinglet would never have an interest in seeking peace with Israel, and Jordan, Israel and the Saudi’s are well aware of this reality. Abdullah has proven himself as false as his father and his namesake, both. Even to this day, despite his treaty of peace with Israel, he coordinates with terrorists and incites violence against the Israeli people which has lead to bloodshed and war. The Saudi’s have no reason to seek a peace without the expectation of peace, which is all your al Shababi plan would achieve. More than this, Isreal has no need of such a peaceless peace, as she has already been suffering such a
faux peace with faux peace partners and false peace expectations at present. But we should place even more authority and more trust in Abdullah, a man whose word is a joke, and whose authority is only based on whomever he might sell his allegiance to next.
In short, you might try to sell crazy somewhere else, as the Middle East is far too overfull which such nonsensical plans as the one you advocate to do so again. Israel wants a peace with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia needs a peace with Israel. For either to receive what they desire from their wants and needs, they must seek a meaningful peace between Israel and the Pals, arranged with a meaningful peace partner in Jordan to design, coordinate and keep that peace. In no way does his weakness Abdullah fulfill this role. In fact, it isn’t just that he does not fulfill this role, but rather that he is incapable of fulfilling it, as it is beyond his nature which is that of a scoundrel, beyond his interest which requires subjugating the Pals, and beyond his reputation which is that of a dissimulating prevaricator.
I am curious as to when you think the coming out party for all these supporters of Al Shabi’s plan might be planned? Even today, what keeps the Pals, Hamas, Jordan, Israel and the Saudis so silent on the very plan which you suggest holds the path to their future cooperation. In fact, if they did support such a nonsensical plan as this, there remains no rationale to hold their deep seeded support secret. There is no change which would require the support you imagine from being bared for all to see.
But do tell us once more of how the great silence surrounding al Shabi’s plan to seek peace, actually portends the general acceptance and support for this plan.
Then tell us what Israeli govt might also support such a plan as you are advocating, as the current govt just recently formed would most certainly not do so.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud is playing second fiddle using the wrong score -whilst Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman’s confidant – Ali Shihabi – is using a different score conducting the Saudi Arabian National Orchestra in the world premiere of the Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine symphony.
Prince Faisal needs to replace his outdated musical score marked “two-State Saudi solution 2002” – with the new score marked “Hashemite Kingdom of Palestine Saudi Solution 2022 – as revised by Abdullah, Abbas and Haniyeh”
Get yourself a copy Prince Faisal
Jordan is Palestine. Move the Pals in Israel there with Saudi money.
Contrary to accepting that Faisal’s comments were ‘in line’ with the previous Saudi’s position supporting the TSS as the author indicates, I would suggest that Faisal’s current statement should be seen to be a contrast to those previous comments coming from the Sauidi’s position on this topic. I would actually go further and suggest his missing dialogue advocating on behalf of both the TSS and the fantasy of Jerusalem being split, should be seen as being a significant change from previous comments made by the Kingdom’s when referencing the Saudi position on the Pals, as Ted indicates, and this was not the first time these omissions were omitted by Saudi representatives in recent months.
As to the peace between Israel and the Saudi’s, Israel should in no way consider such a peace worth the price of accepting an existential threat to her existence, which would mean ignoring all attempts by the Saudis to restart the dangerously flawed TSS. In fact, if the Saudi’s want peace, really want peace, they too will be quite opposed to the imposition of such a flawed path forward as the TSS, as it will never support a continued peace in the region – it was only ever pursued by the Pals as a process towards a better position in continuing their war of conquest against Israel, and this will never change. In fact, if the Saudi’s truly seek peace, they would insist upon the creation of peace between the Pals and Israel, but with the Pals being led by a man who is actually centered upon obtaining peace for his people. There is only one plan which actually supports such a construct, and only one man who could succeed in pursuing it. It is not with Fatah, nor the Hashemites, that a meaningful and productive peace might be found, but only with Mudar whose very purpose in leading his people is to lift them from the squalor which these other parties require as a basis of their hold on power. So the real test for the Saudi’s and the level of interest which they might hold in obtaining peace, is to see them support the implementation of the JO with Mudar leading Jordan towards peace with Israel. Any alternative prerequisite by the Saudi’s would actually demonstrate either their lack of interest in peace or their lack of ability to pursue it. Either way, it should be seen as a non-starter vis a vis peace between Israel and the Saudis. Or, at least, it seems reasonable to me to conclude as such, in any event.
I think it’s worth seeing to know the TRUTH:
Here you have the flag that represented the Hashemite Kingdom that had its Capital in Mecca between 1916 and 1925.

The Saudis have not forgiven Israel for their defeat in the War of Independence. Their red line requires Israel to declare defeat in the Six Daya War and capitulate to the “Palestinians.” Israel should reply by asking them to accept a full return home of the Hashemites who illegally occupies the East Bank.
Jordan Envoy Held Up at Entrance to Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound by Israeli Police
The police officer at the entrance to the holy site reportedly didn’t recognize the ambassador who eventually left in protest. Jordan’s Foreign Ministry summoned Israel’s ambassador in Amman immediately after the incident to protest Israel’s conduct.
Mudar said this is significant.
@Zachary
I think it important that he just said a Palestinian state and went no further to say with East Jerusalem as its capital.
“However, Saudi officials have repeatedly said that a Palestinian state with eastern Jerusalem as its capital is a prerequisite for Saudi Arabia normalizing ties with Israel, and Prince Faisal’s comments on Thursday are in line with that.”
Ted, are you sure he’s talking about Jordan being Palestine? Still worrying.
I would like to see the PLO take over Saudi Arabia so this idiot will know what its like to be an Israeli.
The report I read was that he said that Suadi Arabia would sign the Abraham Accords aftef Israel would “stretch out her hand to the Palestinians”. This could be done, not by setting up another Arab state, one which would threaten the very existence of Israel, but also by other solutions, such as Modechai Kedar’s Emirate plan.
No solution is viable as long as the Arab children are taught that Israel stole their land. When the children get into their teens, they join terrorist organisations.
