Peloni: A great roundup of events in Southern Donetsk. It would seem that Trump being able to secure his peace plan is all that stands between Russia and its complete victory in this region.

This is an unusual situation, in that English-language Ukrainian sources, such as Denys Davydov and Ukrainska Pravda, agree that the situation of the Ukrainian force in the Donetsk is ‘dire” and the Ukrainian army is close to collapse, at least in this area.
The Ukraine blame their dire circumstances, at least in part on the refusal of the United States and Britain’s refusal to use the missiles it hsd supplied to Ukraine “permission” to hit targets deep inside Russia. Allegdly, Ukraine only has permission to use these missles within the territories claimed by Ukraine, including Crimea, and possibly Russian territory directly bordering Ukraine, and close enough to the Ukrainian border to serve as staging areas for Russian troops moving into Ukraine. The UKrainians and their Western ‘lobby” argue that no nation has ever won a war unless it was free from restrictions on the use of its weapons, at least if they had the potential to bring them victory. I agree with the Ukrainians about this matter. Bit ot dpesn’t change the fact that Ussia is close to a military victory in the Donbass, and perhaps a military victory over Ukraine in the war as a whole.
