The United State has reportedly agreed to release imprisoned Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard as part of a negotiated compromised to secure the continuation of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, Army Radio reported Wednesday.

Israel, in exchange for the US gesture, will allegedly release another 26 Palestinian prisoners, including some 14 Arab-Israelis.

According to the Army Radio report, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will be obligated under the deal to keep his negotiators engaged in the current round of talks and an extended period through the end of 2014.

On Sunday, senior Israeli officials told Israel Radio that the peace process is in danger of collapsing. If no agreement is reached between the sides regarding the fourth installment of the prisoner release, which was originally scheduled to take place next week, the negotiations could break down completely.

US Secretary of State John Kerry and his team put forth the proposal in an effort to salvage the talks after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made it clear to the top US diplomat that he would not release the Palestinian inmates at all if the talks culminate at the end of April, as set as an initial nine-month deadline.

The government has remained adamant in refusing to free Palestinian citizens of Israel in the prisoner releases.

The Palestinians have said they would leave the negotiating table if the Israeli Arab prisoners are not released. However, there is currently no majority in the Israeli cabinet to release them.

By releasing Pollard from his nearly 30-year incarceration, the US hopes to gain approval from Netanyahu’s splintered coalition for measures to proceed with the negotiating process.

Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon has threatened to resign and to oust Netanyahu as Likud leader if the release, set for March 28, takes place.

I agree with you. Yiddish songs are wonderful. Some are nostalgic and all have catchy tunes. During the holiday season at the lighting ceremony of the Hanukkah Bush at Lincoln Center in NYC. They had a Jewish group playing Jewish music and, many people including me kept time to the music. Some people were dancing. What supposedly is a holiday tree at the center of the Plaza is a tinsel tree all decorated in blue. Only in New York City. The West Side is where you can still sit for coffee and have at the next table some famous musicians, writers and of course all of them Jewish. Had some visitors to NY who made me aware of this and they were very impressed. I’m not the type to be impressed by famous people or personalities. Most New Yorkers ignore them but, I became aware of how unaware I can be when it comes to fame. The way I figure it, they want to seat in peace to have a cup of coffee with friends the same way as I do.

I have never seen a real cowboy in Texas. A couple of them visiting in NYC and it was a pleasure. Very enjoyable experience and very funny the two guys I met. I have been only to Dallas. Was not very impress since generally I do not like cities and it is very hot in the spring to walk outside. So long.

I love Yiddish songs. I read of a woman who visited Nursing Homes where she would play the guitar and sing Yiddish folk song. At one home lived a man with Alzheimer, who had not spoken in years, when she played he joined in, perfect Yiddish.

I agree. Not many people can write like Mr. Ross. The clarity of thought and the analysis of the subject. It is the exposition of the facts stated with beauty and simplicity. It is inspiring. Mr. Ross reminds me of C.S. Lewis.
TP: You have other qualities which considering your age I should not mention. I want you to be able to wear your hat. Not everyone is born a writer but being an honest human being is very important. Besides, you are funny.
I must leave now. Thank you Mr.Ross.

The europeans and obama humiliate Israel because they sense weakness just like the anti semitic bully who beat up the Jewish kid in the school yard. They smell it and like the despicable filth that they are they continue to abuse the Jew. Israel acts as if it were still the ghetto jew. I do not mean this as a criticism because the Jew, in Stockholm Syndrome is still a hostage. Like the Stockholm Syndrome hostage the Jews apes his tormentor and is satisfied with any crumbs his master will give him. The collective Jew in Israel is still operating from the duress of 2000 years of abuse and slaughter. I long to see the day when she breaks her shackles and leaps out to seize redress and reparation without asking: seizing land and executing their tormentors. If Israel were to really assess its potential, not as a mendicant who must always have a credible goyische ally to latch on to, but as a Machiavellian aggressor who terrifies the enemy and offers no apologies for seizing the payment that is due for the horrors of 2000 years. How is it that North Korea frightens the world but Israel, a nuclear power with a strong military, is spanked by the feygele. Israel is a warrior nation and as such should be out using its main asset to seize redress and assets from the bullies of the world. If Israel began to think from a perspective of how it can threaten and do harm rather, than how it can ward off the world, many would flock to the protection of her rattling saber. Most of the world favors a “strong horse” and gravitates to those who can war successfully. Unapologetic attacks should be the MO of Israel if it wants allies and “friends”. Reason is not required: just the perception that Israel is strong and is willing to employ her strength not just for defense but also for acquisition and interests.
I have noticed that moral protestations soon fall apart before strength and real threats.

I have mixed feelings about Yiddish: on the one hand there is great Jewish diaspora cultural achievement but on the other it symbolizes to me the ghetto euro jew always humble and afraid(and rightly so)

The Jewish diaspora cultural achievement is without equal. Not only in Hollywood, Broadway, music, literature and science. Jewish achievement is a celebration of life. 60 years ago I went downtown New York City to what it was low cost entertainment for the Jewish immigrants with limited knowledge of English. I had very limited knowledge (still do) of Yiddish and, the acting was great. Incredible. The situation in these plays reflected Jewish life in the ghetto. I laughed so hard. Had tears running down my cheeks from laughing.
The sad part. The humble and fearful attitude still remains with some of the elderly. In many cases even when their hard work and sacrifices resulted in very successful families. You still notice in many situations the lack of confidence resulting from the painful humiliations of the past. The love for the family always keep us alive.
BR thank you for your analytical insights.

Do you think we can trade Putin for Ovomit? Someone who is decisive who acts first, faces the consequences and stands for his country.
We do not have anyone with the integrity to act his conscience. Another two and a half years of a RED diaper baby who hates us and wants to destroy this country and all what it represents.
Israelis ought to hire him as a University lecturer to teach all the ministers how to be proud of Israel’s accomplishments and how to use them.
No more humiliations or making concessions in the name of peace. Negotiations from strength and equality. You have to do what you have to do period.

Yamit82 Netanyahu should say our condition is as follows, the plane that is bringing Jonathan Pollard home to Israel, should, on its way back to America, be transporting all those released terrorists to their new homes – in America.

That’s a fair trade. I agree. Bring them all to live in the White House with Michelle and the kids.
I have to say I agree with most of the commentary above.

I looked it up. I’m not sure “fegeleh” fits the man referred to.

    feygele (plural feygeles)
1-A male who is or who is thought to be homosexual.
    2-A very young girl.
    3-(dated) A little bird.

I think it fits, most certainly the main one. the testimony of other feygeles and the coincidental murders of connected feygeles are compelling. His church was known to connect successful black feygeles on the “down low” to be paired with respectable black women for marriage, and image, by Wright.

His speech today reminded me of the second and third definition above.

Ditto to all the above, BR. You handle Yiddish a lot better than I ever could have done.

I didnt speak it but my father was a kindertransport and he and my grandparents spoke a lot of German and Yiddish even though my father quickly became “english” in the UK. I have mixed feelings about Yiddish: on the one hand there is great Jewish diaspora cultural achievement but on the other it symbolizes to me the ghetto euro jew always humble and afraid(and rightly so). I tend towards the throwing off of european and diaspora remainders which symbolize Jewish oppression and humiliation. I prefer hebrew for a return to the land of the Jews in their glory and future.
However, credit where due: I would not be able to find an english word which conveyed the humor and derision I intended.

that’s why I liked Lt. Eisnor with his rifle butt to the eurotrash face he gave a clear and well deserved retort. I don’t believe in answering dishonesty with sincerity, exchanging civilities and the like. It confuses the con artist into thinking his con is working and for some, like the euros, they start to believe their own con when the sucker accepts it. You dont reason with a turd, you flush it down the toilet. Vlad doesn’t say much but when the right time came he acted, and all the con artists could do was to hem and haw. I like Putins style. I was in an office today and the feygele was giving a speech about Crimea and I couldn’t watch it for fear of puking. I listened and thought that most people would just go home with their tails between their legs after such humiliation; keeping quiet and hoping no one noticed. 😛

  13. According to the BBC, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria issued a directive

citing the Islamic concept of “dhimma”, [which] requires Christians in the city to pay tax of around half an ounce (14g) of pure gold in exchange for their safety. It says Christians must not make renovations to churches, display crosses or other religious symbols outside churches, ring church bells or pray in public. Christians must not carry arms, and must follow other rules imposed by ISIS (also known as ISIL) on their daily lives. The statement said the group had met Christian representatives and offered them three choices—they could convert to Islam, accept ISIS’ conditions, or reject their control and risk being killed. “If they reject, they are subject to being legitimate targets, and nothing will remain between them and ISIS other than the sword,” the statement said.

The war of euro rooted supersessionist Churches against the Jews AND their overt support of the Jew killers is bringing a blowback which they apparently do not notice nor heed. What will be the next plague that these despicable bastards will suffer? Those that seek to feed the Jews to the muslim crocodile are instead made to suffer at the hands of their selected Jew killers. The euro bankruptcy, the Boris Bitch Slapping, the internal muslim termites, are all warnings of humiliation to cease cursing the Jews.

  14. @ bernard ross:
Ditto to all the above, BR. You handle Yiddish a lot better than I ever could have done. In Davenport, Iowa, where my Russian Jewish grandparents on my father’s side settled in back in the 1880s, they learned English the same as the other European immigrants to those parts, and in the smaller communities along the Upper Mississippi River, there wasn’t much in the way of established Jewish communities for anybody to maintain their Yiddish with. So I never heard much Yiddish from my late father Max Harris, who died in 1979.

  15. I never have wanted a final peace agreement under any circumstances between the State of Israel and Washington’s Fatah gang. My reason for that uncompromising position is that Israel and the Jewish nation need and are entitled to sovereignty over the entirety of Eretz-Yisrael. To achieve that, these lands must be conquered, annexed and settled. No nation ever has acquired land without taking it away from someone else by force, and the Jews are no exception.

It’s too bad about Pollard, especially now that I have read enough information to show me that this country’s government purposely shafted him. But expanding Israel in all directions is far more important to the Jewish nation than his freedom, or any other consideration, with no exceptions.

In any case, the Jewish state and Jewish nation now have guaranteed evidence that the USA has been holding Pollard as a hostage. Were that situation otherwise, they would never agree to let him out from his US Federal prison cell on an early release basis.

Any Jewish leader who, in the name of the Jewish state or nation, agrees to alienate any part of Eretz-Yisrael for any reason whatsoever, merits the permanent condemnation of the Jewish nation, and an ugly and demeaning death such as Sharon must have endured.

I prefer the mentsch to the feygele! I agree with his approach to Ukraine and NATO and EU: they reneged on their commitments. He is loyal to his own people. Israel could learn about using military power for self interest rather than just reaction and defense. Israel squanders its military assets by not employing them to advance itself strategically. I would like to see Israel operate like Putin, seizing opportunities, slapping faces. Vlad bitch slapped the euro faces and sent the feygele whimpering to make speeches.

Obama admin is enemy of jews; why doesn’t BB tell Israelis this fact?

  18. @ yamit82:

There is no truth to it – it has been denied by the State Department.

Every one knows regardless of what Israel does or doesn’t do in April… the Palestinian Arabs will walk out of the talks – unless Israel is willing to submit to their blackmail to get them to remain at the table.

Bribing the Arabs to want peace has failed. If there is any lesson Israel has learned over the past year, is that it cannot want peace more than the other side does.

  19. The White House has denied an Israeli radio report broadcast Wednesday saying the U.S. proposed swapping Jonathan Pollard for 26 Palestinian Authority terrorist prisoners to keep the Israel-PA talks alive.

  20. The Pollard-Shalit Hostage Negotiations
Obama’s prisoner exchange proposal is reminiscent of the Gilad Shalit deal. The primary difference is where the hostage is being held.

We’ll take Pollard, in exchange for releasing the terrorists, so Abbas will pretend to talk to us some more. But we don’t want those terrorists anywhere near us.

Netanyahu should say our condition is as follows, the plane that is bringing Jonathan Pollard home to Israel, should, on its way back to America, be transporting all those released terrorists to their new homes – in America.

    That’s a fair trade.

  21. U.S. Reportedly Offers Israel Pollard Prisoner Exchange for PA Terrorists
    http://www.jewishpress.com/news/breaking-news/u-s-offers-israel-pollard-prisoner-exchange-for-pa-terrorists/2014/03/26/
The United States has allegedly pulled out its ace in the hole this week, reportedly offering at last to free imprisoned Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard in exchange for the release by Israel of 26 Palestinian Authority terrorist prisoners.

The move, reported Wednesday morning by Ilil Shachar on IDF Army Radio, would force Israel to complete the last of a four-stage prisoner release that has thus far freed 78 PA inmates from Israeli jails.

Israeli government officials could not be reached for comment. A spokesperson for Jewish Home chairman Naftali Bennett told The Jewish Press, “Nothing is official, and we have not been given any information at this point. We haven’t been told anything other than the report we heard this morning on the radio.”

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu agreed eight months ago to the “good will gesture” as a means of testing the truth of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s resolve as a peace partner in working towards a final status deal.

Netanyahu stated from the outset in an “open letter to the citizens of Israel” that the process would depend upon the actions of the PA and its ability to prove it is “really serious and not playing games.”

Pollard’s incarceration in 1985 on a single charge of passing classified information to an allied nation (Israel) has long been a sore point for Jews and Israelis the world over. The crime normally carries a maximum prison term of two to four years. Pollard has been often been held in harsh and sometimes inhumane conditions, and has suffered serious health problems as a result. Despite numerous appeals for his release by hundreds of American and Israeli leaders, every U.S. president has turned a deaf ear to requests for clemency, to terminate his sentence to time served.

According to the report, the alleged U.S. decision to offer Pollard in exchange for the PA prisoners came after Prime Minister Netanyahu told the White House officials that too many of his coalition members opposed the release.

Pollard himself has said that he will not agree to be used in a prisoners swap for Arab terrorists.
